Food was good, very tasty. Small shop, (it's an old Burger Street building) but they were able to get 2 booths in and 4 or 5 high stools with a bar top. All the staff encountered were very nice, and polite. Hope in the future they can get some tables outside under the shade of the trees. read more

At last my prayers have been answered, finally an authentic So Cal MEXICAN taco place!! I discovered Roberto's the first week they opened in Bedford and have been there three times already. This is old school tacos and burritos with flavor!! I was delighted that their carnitas are crispy, as they should be. is one of those places that you really don't want to share about, as it will soon get too crowded, especially as there is very limited seating (2 tables and 5 stools). Bring a folding chair or be prepared to eat in your car, at peak dining hours. As with any new venue, wait time can be a little slow, as they work our there process. In the meantime, order ahead by phone, if you are in a hurry. I give them five stars for the quality and taste of their food and cheerful service! I know they are new and finding their way but the wait in the drive through lane was much too long. I ordered chicken tacos. The presentation was great but I was expecting shredded chicken. It was a chicken strip, which was rancid and tough. I cut up both tacos and the dogs had them for lunch. I might try them again after they've been open for a little longer. read more

Absolutely insane. I went to Papa Gs and was telling everyone about how I loved this place in San Diego. Friends wanted to try it so I went through drive through and let me just tell you. I order two Cali burritos and rolled tacos. Took at least twenty minutes. Got up to window and guy says 22 bucks and I handed him 40. Then I realized that it should cost more. He came back to window and I said hey I order two Cali burritos and rolled tacos should be more than 22. He then was like ok. Five mins later he gave me the bag of food and said thanks. I said where is my change. He said I owed him more than 40 and to please leave. I said no, give me a receipt. He said no just leave. Then finally said hold on and went to work with walk ins. Finally came back to window and said let me see your bag of food. Have him back then he just gave me my 40 dollars back and told me to leave. That is insane. 09/15/2025 The day that almost made me not want tacos ever again. The beef taco and rice is horrible!!! Rice too salty and the shredded beef is dry without seasoning. The taco shell tastes stale. Took it back immediately after biting into the taco to be told they don't give refunds. Offered to remake it but why would I want a repeat of Taco disaster when you're using the same nasty ingredients. No type of customer service whatsoever except for the young man who was working the window. He was very nice and witty. For the young man that came to the window without any professionalism, didn't even apologize for the experience. I politely told him to keep the money as a donation and to make better food. That's how bad it was, I'm not willing to replace it but allowed him to keep my money. I could have pushed the issue but why when he pushing himself right out of buisness. The service was great the first time I went. This is my second time going. I went back because the service was good & so was the food. Now I won't be going back all because of Kaitlyn working there. I ordered a breakfast carne asada burrito, came home and it was just a regular carne asada burrito, so I called. I told her the situation and instead of just trying to fix it, automatic defense mode. She insisted that she asked me if I wanted a carne asada burrito and I said yes, the breakfast one like I said when I drove up. Now you being the employee if there was confusion then you should ask breakfast or lunch. I wasn't confused because I said exactly what I wanted. I wasn't looking to get free food. I just wanted it fixed. She had an attitude and so I match the energy I receive. My wife went to pick up the burrito, she gets home and there is a reddish brownish hair in our burrito. Poor customer service. Listened to the man taking orders complain to everyone about how busy it had been. Gave a lecture to man ordering tacos who asked for flour tortillas that a flour tortilla is a burrito and a corn tortilla is a taco so no. Appreciate the accuracy, but making your customers feel stupid because they are asking for flour tortillas for their tacos is ridiculous. Watched someone bring their tacos back up because they put guacamole on the tacos and he had ordered the guacamole on the side. The man says to the customer "you can't eat it like that?" Customer said no, that's not how I ordered it. So Man says fine we'll make it again. No sorry, no nothing - just made him feel like crap that he had to ask for what he ordered. Oh, and now my order. We had 2 burritos, 1 taco, a nacho with steak, a Coke, and a water. Our order is ready he hands it to us and we sit down at 1 of the 2 tables in the place (yes that is correct - 2 tables well actually they are 4 top booths, and 5 stools at a rail - that's it so basically this place is carry out). I take the bag with the food and ask about our drinks. Man says oh ya, and gets us our drinks. While that is happening another guy walks in from the drive through and says I just went through drive through and you forgot one of my burritos. Man says ok we'll make it for you - again, no sorry or anything. We open our bag and sure enough we are also missing 1 of our 2 burritos. I walk back up and tell him we are missing the Cali burrito (steak and fries). In disgust The Man says ok bring me back up your order! I guess he didn't believe us. So I walk back over to my daughter and ask her to start putting everything back into the bag and while she is doing that the Man starts yelling out "ok, ok, never mind, we'll make you another one". How rude and ridiculous! And no you aren't "making me another one" because you never gave us the Cali burrito to begin with. About 3 minutes later the Man yells out "here's your burrito". Again, no sorry, no nothing. My daughter takes one bite and sets the burrito down. I said what's wrong and she says that bite was all French fries (a Cali burrito is steak and fries). I said no way - can you open it up. She unwraps the burrito and it was 90% French fries and at best 10% steak. Ridiculous! She pushed the steak to one side of the burrito and got 3 more bites (with steak) of the burrito and threw the rest away. Won't be back read more
