Ordered a California burrito with no cheese. Told these folks 15 different ways that I was allergic to cheese. They promised no cheese. I took the burrito home and cut it in half. It looked ok. I took a bite and as I start to chew I saw huge strings of cheese pull from the other side. Turns out they melted the cheese onto the ingredients. I went to the ER immediately, and luckily caught it with enough time to avoid serious injury, but I needed a ton of antihistamines for the next week. This is a drive-thru or walk-up style restaurant. If you go early enough in the morning, it usually isn't too busy. Otherwise when it's busy, it can be a bit tight getting into the parking lot because it's a small building with limited space to drive and park around it. I've only gotten their breakfast burritos, and they're always super delicious and not overly greasy. My only gripe is that the wait times can be long, even if there aren't many customers in line (anywhere from a 10-15 minute wait). So only go if you have the extra time to spare. When is a line for food not an issue? When that line is formed because the food is worth it. Well worth it. Tiny little spot on the corner of Precinct line Rd and Pipeline Rd. in Hurst. You can't miss it. Chips are super fresh, super crunchy. Topped with tender seasoned steak, frijoles, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, guac, sour cream. These are not bell grande, these have real food flavor, not fast food. Don't let the line discourage you. They get it out to you in relatively worthwhile little wait. It tastes unrushed because it is unrushed. But you look in the window and they are booking. They are moving lightening fast to get orders out. Love it. Los Alberto's is a gem. Put it in your saves. One day make the drive. One order of nachos feeds two adults so if you are in a sharing mood, don't order two. That's too much food. I eat. As a Mexican girlie who grew up frequenting holes in the wall... this ain't it. Someone had to be honest. I have been coming here for about 7 years. Why? Convenience, lack of options, and they have one item that surprisingly keeps me coming back. You see a place like this you try their tacos and salsa and you can pretty much tell everything else you order will be a 6/10. I come here usually because it's late and if we're in the mood for Mexican this is all that's open. I've also learned that if you call multiple times eventually they will pick up the phone and will be less than enthused to take your order. That way you don't have to wait in your car in a double drive through line that makes no sense sometimes for up to 45 minutes. Call ahead. They'll pick up. Eventually. This place is always packed. The people at the window aren't the nicest but I've had worse. All that said, there is an item worth the visit. An item that is unexpected. When the craving hits I can't think of a better place nearby or anywhere really that is still in existence that can make a better one. .... The item is....drumroll please.....(close your eyes and imagine a long drumroll... but don't close them too long because if you have ADD like me you'll forget you were reading a review and never find out what the item is)...... okay here it goes......their BURGER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I know this is a Mexican place but their burgers are absolute perfection. Are they beautiful? Yes on the inside. I don't have burgers often. I wait until my insides yearn for that delicious greasy cheesy ooh I can't, I can't even keep going because now I want one. If you order one, first it comes in a styrofoam container sadly. To place your order you can either join the drive thru line or walk up to the front. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo, potatoes and cheese which was very good. They also provide green and red salsa on the side and I really enjoyed the red salsa. I may have to make this a regular spot for grabbing early morning breakfast burritos. read more

Great burritos...IF you have the time. I just left Los Albertos, after sitting in their drive thru for 20 minutes. There was only one car in front of me. It never moved during the 20 minutes. Of course, it's Texas and it was 90℉ outside, so everyone's cars were running to keep the occupants cool. Exhaust fumes aren't very appetizing. I was on my lunch break and had an upcoming meeting, so I had a time limit. If you've got a two hour lunch, it's a great place to eat. If not, it's a great place to lose weight...by not getting food to eat. P.S. Their drive thru is VERY tight. The last time I went there, the pickup truck couldn't leave going forward, due to the other drive thru lane's occupants blocking the way out. The truck's driver decided to reverse his way out of the line, crashing right into my car, causing extensive damage. When they have a sit-down restaurant, I'll start going back. read more

The flavor was a little lacking tbh but that could easily be fixed if taken home. I was able to get 2 beefy tacos and a sope for under $10! I would advise to come when you can afford to wait because it was a good 10 min wait to order and another 15 min to get my tacos! Long wait but worth it! To my surprise the menu had Carne Asada Fries that took me back to my SoCal days. Yes!! I asked what came on them and they said carne asada, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo and beans. Not used to the pico and beans being added, so I nixed the beans, closed my eyes, took a bite, and was home in San Diego!! I devoured my first order before I made it home. We've only tried a few things so far. The rolled tacos are great. The bean and cheese burritos are good but I live 30 minutes away and the cheese wasn't even melted. The California burrito was Good but not a "California burrito" without sour cream and guac. Online it says steak, fries, cheese, pico, sour cream and guac. We've bought it twice and only got steak cheese and fries both times. The hot sauce is very good as well. This is the closest tasting Mexican food to California Taco shops.
