The BEST Mexican food in Dallas! Being from Southern California, I love authentic baja mexican food and this place has it! Reminds me of back home in San Diego! We literally drive 1hr on weekends to get this Mexican food since north Dallas has no taco shops. It's rare to find my favorite which is rolled tacos! They use shredded beef, so good! We also got the carne Asada burrito. The service is quick and easy. Prices are good! Basically just drive up and order! Check it out especially if you haven't found good Mexican food yet because this is the best Dallas has!

    Bistek encebollado... good portion size

I ordered the bistek encebollado. It was seasoned well. It included onion, tomato and jalapeños on top. The jalapeños made this dish way too spicy for me even after I removed them all. But it had good taste.

Cheesy burrito after I was promised no cheese.

Ordered a California burrito with no cheese. Told these folks 15 different ways that I was allergic to cheese. They promised no cheese. I took the burrito home and cut it in half. It looked ok. I took a bite and as I start to chew I saw huge strings of cheese pull from the other side. Turns out they melted the cheese onto the ingredients. I went to the ER immediately, and luckily caught it with enough time to avoid serious injury, but I needed a ton of antihistamines for the next week. I was really excited to go here, but this was a disaster. It would have been cheaper to fly to California for what this burrito cost me.

    "Chips and Queso "

First time trying the food here and I asked for Chips and Queso the lady said yes so I was expecting some chips and queso dip. Nope I was wrong! This is what I got. I also ordered the #9 asada torta and that was a 3/10. Let me not forget the parking lot... omg that's a nightmare to get out of .

This is a small walk-up and drive-thru establishment. It's very popular and it was the first time trying it. My friend made the suggestion, we chose to walk up and sit outside. They took our order very fast and the food was ready within 10 min. The burritos are pretty big!! I didn't finish mine because I ordered a sopes as well. The food was hot and delicious! It hit the spot when we needed some much needed fuel!

No frills late night place for my Mexican food cravings. I got the carne asada fries and it was decent. Meat quality was much to be desired, and the ratio was off with more toppings then french fries that felt undercooked, since it was rushed. Salsa was not spicy enough. Food came out in a fast manner and for $11 it was not bad. I liked the ambiance since it was very chill and relaxed on a early spring day with people just casually eating together.

Stopped by to get a quick bite and Los Alberto's was solid! It's a walk up/drive thru so it's best to order takeout, they have two picnic tables outside. The menu is quite long, with lots of options and combos. The carne asada burrito was pretty good, and the portion was substantial. The meat was flavorful, but on the greasier side. Also ordered a side of chili fries, which was surprisingly delicious. The layer of melted cheese and hot chili paired really well with the fries. Overall, based on the value and taste, this spot was totally worth it. We recommend!

Stopped by Los Alberto's Mexican food which is actually a walk up or drive thru restaurant. When you arrive, parking can be a little tricky if the drive thru is busy. To place your order you can either join the drive thru line or walk up to the front. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo, potatoes and cheese which was very good. They also provide green and red salsa on the side and I really enjoyed the red salsa. I may have to make this a regular spot for grabbing early morning breakfast burritos.

Carne Asada Fries without sour cream, pico de gallo
    Annie C.

Wow, best Mexican food we've had since moving from San Diego. Beef rolled tacos- a 10, don't get 3 and regret, order the 5 and ask for the red sauce. Carne Asada Fries- never had it with beans . We asked for no pico de gallo or sour cream. Next time we will also ask for no beans. Delightful . Carne Asada Burrito- ask for no onions . Just carne and guacamole. Fish burrito- a tad too much on the onions but very satisfying.

Ask the Community - Los Alberto's Mexican Food

    What is a sopes?

Mexican sopes are fried corn tortillas that can be topped with beans, cheese, and meat. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/235756/easy-mexican-sopes/

Is there lard or pork in the refried beans?

Not sure, but that's pretty standard for most Mexican food places. This place taste legit - not exactly healthy.

What's the difference between the California, Texas and a Super burrito on their menu? I wish they would put a description of their filling

I've never heard of a Texas Burrito, but a California burrito implies the carne, french fries, and guacamole are inside the burrito. Places mix it up with other regular burrito fillings in addition to that, but that's the base. I believe at Los… Read more

    Do they serve beer (cerveza)?

    Nope

    What's in the California burrito?

Carne asada, pico, french fries, cheese.

We went there last night and it was closed. There are orange cones in the driveway. Are they on vacation, or have they gone out of business?

They are having some plumbing corrected that required work under the concrete.

Hubs got the Enchilada lunch, selecting beef and he was very satisfied, everything tasted fresh, and was cooked to perfection, along with looking so visually appealing. Oh, also, their chips and salsa are a TREAT, if you've never been they bring a trio of salsa's, one is a tomatillo based, sweetened with pineapple, it's so bright and fresh, and actually surprised me, I don't believe I have ever had sweet, green salsa, every one at the table should like this, they also have a mild, traditional red salsa, and a smoky, roasted, medium spiciness salsa, all three were delicious! I got the Fresco Salad, and chose beef fajita for my protein. Look, I am not a huge salad lover, but it sounded good, and I was looking for something on the lighter side, UM, WOW! Honestly I can't stop thinking about it lol, first of all it's huge, I was only able to eat about 1/4 or maybe even a little less, before I had to give up, and ask for a box. There was enough left that the next day, I made small quesadillas and split the rest with my hubs for lunch and we both were stuffed. The salad was fresh and crisp, the flavors including the dressing that automatically comes with it is the perfect match up of flavors. I really need to find an Abuelo's while out of town next week lol. Our service was great, Tony was very attentive and helpful, always made sure our beverages were full, and friendly. I will ask for his section the next time we visit! To wrap things up, know that the portions are generous, the food is on point, and the restaurant is large, so they can accommodate groups and parties, the atmosphere is lovely, and decor beautiful and festive , I hope you give them a try.

Well, we still frequent the place regularly and it's STILL our go-to for Tex-Mex. Still great food, still great atmosphere, still great, friendly staff. Always. Everything we've had so far has been fantastic: enchiladas, giant burrito, shrimp tacos, beef fajitas, everything. If I was to say ONE thing as a criticism, I miss the pitcher of salsa on the table to refill your salsa cup. And the bowl of chips is smaller, making you go through them quicker. A minor inconvenience and the staff are pretty much on top of refills, so like I said: minor. Oh, and I miss looking under the plates for the 'M' for the complimentary dish. Just something fun.

Food is always consistent and service is top-notch. Plus, the frozen Margaritas are some of our all-time favorites. Mi Pueblo also has some pretty awesome salsa and chips. We like our salsa a bit hotter, so we mix their hotter salsa in with the regular. It comes out perfectly. After being seated and looking over the menu, one of our regular servers, Jose, came by to take our drink orders. Two frozen Margaritas, one no-salt, the way my wife likes it. My wife decided on an order of bean and cheese nachos, Nachos de Casa. I ordered the Azteca platter comprised of a sour cream chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada, crispy ground been taco plus rice and refried beans. When our Margaritas arrived, we were both happy campers with very happy tummies. We munched on chips and salsa, sipped Margaritas and had a good bit of conversation going when Jose arrived with our entrees. Yummy, picture perfect. My wife said her nachos were awesome. Mi Pueblo cooks up some really deliciously flavored refried beans. They've got great flavor and are seasoned to perfection. My Azteca platter was more than I could eat. My wife warned me, but I didn't listen. Both enchiladas were packed full of deliciousness. The crispy beef taco was crunchy and wonderful. Rice and refried beans, AWESOME! Thank you, Jose and Mi Pueblo, for a wonderful relaxing time dining and enjoying each other's company. We'll be back many more times in 2026.
