I went to get rotors changed they were unprofessional not honest lack of communication after I took my car with them I took it to the dealership the dealership tells me there are screws missing for the rotors that Roberts auto shop did had to pay for those screw could've had a car accident these people are dishonest I called Robert himself he tried justifying himself saying I've been in the car industry for a long time etc... I told him if u were a really honest mechanic you would have put the screws back together for my rotors or at least notified me as a client which he never did nor did he fix the problem with my car honestly shitty service all around read more

My dad's van was overheating today & he had the radiator replaced at Robert's Automotive when Robert still operated the business. The radiator was still under warranty so my dad & uncle took the van back to Robert's. My dad told Leonard (the new guy) that it was overheating & asked if they could test it out to find the problem. Leonard told one of the mechanics to do a pressure test. My uncle drove my dad home & then Leonard called some time later to tell him that it was not the radiator but it was the hoses that were leaking. He gave my dad a quote of around $350 to fix it. We didn't have the money to fix it right now so my dad told Leonard that he was just gonna come pick up the van & limp it home. At that point, Leonard informed my dad that the pressure test would cost $60.00 & my dad would have to pay that before his van would be released back to him. My dad was NEVER told that the pressure test would cost anything before he handed over his car key. On the phone my dad argued that he was never told there would be a charge. The response he was given: "Well you don't expect us to do something & not charge you! Any other mechanic shop would do the same!" Not true. Garcia's Auto Repair (on Broadway & Mesa Drive, operated by Luis Garcia) has given us free inspections in the past & great prices. We would have taken it there but my dad thought to was the radiator & Robert's is who the warranty was with. If I could give it zero stars, I would. It is just really bad business practice to not inform the customer of the charges BEFORE the work is done. If it was me & my car (instead of my dad & his van), you can be sure as the sky is blue that I would have raised hell & threatened to sue (which is what the nice police officer suggested when we called the non-emergency to find out if the police could get involved but said it was a civil matter & to pay the $60 but then it would be well within our right to sue). too long;didn't read: my dad was never told that the pressure test would cost anything until after the fact. We have been going to Roberts for 5 years and have always had our vehicles serviced by him. Unfortunately Robert is no longer at his shop as frequently as he used to be and his staff is not quite as honest and trustworthy as he is. We highly recommend this shop but we would recommend calling ahead and making sure that Robert is in so that he can make sure your vehicle is taken care of to his high standards. read more

Robert was very helpful and honest with my car maintenance. First he gave me a discounted oil change price at only 41 bucks for full synthetic! He found that my drive belts were very worn and would probably breaks soon. I unfortunately couldn't drop 280 right there but he gave me a discount to come back and get it done for only 200 for 2 drive belts on a Mercedes so I'd say that's a pretty good deal! Robert recently closed his shop in Apache Junction so that he could focus on his Mesa shop. I live way out in Queen Creek, but I still take all of my vehicles to Robert. Robert is friendly, respectful, will not overcharge, or charge you for things that you simply do not need. He will pick your car up at your house, take you home or help you however he can. I have never found a shop owner that is more focused on customer service. I recently had my oil changed out in Queen Creek. The shop that I visited said that I needed to have all 4 Struts replaced. I then took my truck to Robert to do the work and when I went to pay the bill he told me that my truck did not need new struts. Not only is Robert a great Mechanic but he is great with Paint and Body work. I have had him work on my restored 57' Chevy Stepside Truck and he has done some amazing work. They forgot to screw back the front engine cover plate (metal) when changing the oil so it partly fell off while I was driving a 80 mph, it was horrible and things could have been worst. Had to pull over lots of times until got home and cancel all my plans for the weekend. I tried to reach out to them no one answered, sent them a text, no one got back until I had to wait for Monday and drive all the way back to their shop. They just put the severely damaged part back and sent me home saying I am done, nothing else needs to be done. Just stay away from them. Not worth it. read more

I ask Mike if he had any cleaner to wipe my seat off, there was a dirty have print. He grabbed an oil soaked rag sprayed something on it and then just smeared things around then through his cigarette holding lips asked "that good?" Robert at Roberts Complete Auto has discovered the engine still has the same clunking noise from the lower end. He is stepping up and provided us with a loaner vehicle while he tries to diagnose the problem. Being familiar with Engines myself, this is a strange problem knowing what has already been replaced or rebuilt. Regardless of the issues we have had with Robert he is an excellent and qualified mechanic. He has stated that he would purchase a new rebuilt engine if necessary. I used to take my car to this mechanic when he was in Apache Junction so I went to him again since he moved. He used to be very fair and honest but since Robert is hardly there, his losers of employees now are just like every other mechanics... Ripoffs!!! I had my air conditioner worked on and when it didn't work the next day I was informed that they only filled it and did not inspect it for leaks. I now have to take it back in and have it looked at for leaks and pay more money. The guys were very rude and acted like jerks, probably because I was a woman. Beware!!! This guy is a CROOK! I would give him a negative rating if I could. We tried giving this local guy a shot and got burned. He quoted us $3k to fix car damage; insurance adjuster quoted estimates at $6k. He was paid the money from our insurance AND he took the money & DID NOT do the work on my Yukon. He replaced a wheel with a used bent wheel & charged insurance company the new wheel price. He had my car for over 2 months and estimated work time was 9 days according to the insurance adjuster. Paint job was shabby, wheels/tires were not aligned, none of the lights, wipers, blinkers worked and the car shook violently when driving. It was not safe for me & my children to ride in. Robert refused & still refuses to talk with us. He NEVER provided an invoice for the shabby work & essentially disappeared after he was paid!!! He says he was unable to do the work due to health issues" . He sure did take the money though. DO NOT go here for car repairs. You've been warned. read more

Lied that car was in garage, lied they'd call before doing any work, left car overnight with windows down and unlocked, we took car home after we drove to shop to see if car was unlocked, took car home, next day no one called as to our car was missing off their business, husband went to shop to confront Mike and he hid, hid, from husband who is 68, disabled, keys were sitting on desk for anyone to take. I am very happy I with the service I received from Robert's Complete Automotive! My son's car had a blown tire and the check engine light on. Because of that the car would not pass emissions. Being fairly new to the area, we did not have a mechanic. So I do what I normally do which is decide where I'm going by reading reviews. Robert's Complete Automotive was one of the first auto repair shops to show on my google search. It had 4 stars so I gave them a call. Whoever answered the phone made me feel reassured that I wasn't going to be put through the ringer so I scheduled an appointment that afternoon. We brought the car in and he hooked it up to the computer that tests why the check engine light is on and about four codes popped up, same codes as when we took it to Auto Zone. So instead of quoting me on what it would cost to repair each code, he said, "Let me keep the car for the night, condition it, clear the codes, drive it and as soon as the light goes on I will test it again and we can fix that code which may fix the remaining codes" (something to that effect). So we kept it there overnight, he found the initial issue, fixed it and one more issue and replaced the tires in s VERY timely manner at a VERY reasonable price. Before I agreed to all the fixes and changes I called a good friend of ours who owns a transmission shop in San Diego and had him talk directly to Robert. Our friend said he was right on and his pricing was good and to go for it. It has been a few weeks since the repair and the check engine light has yet to come on again which makes me very happy! When we got to the shop to pick up the car, they still charged us almost a hundred dollars because we had signed a paper.
