When we arrived, we went to the register to ask where the chicks were. We were the only customers in the store at the time, while all three employees were on phone calls. A gentleman walked in after us and stood to the side. When one employee got off the phone and asked "who's next," we stepped forward--only to be told we were not next and that there was a "line." There was no visible line, no clear signage, and we had been standing directly in front of the register the entire time. This is not a large store--it's a small space where basic awareness should make the order obvious. The man who arrived after us then attempted to move ahead, and I had to clarify that we had been waiting. Instead of handling it professionally, the employee responded dismissively. When I finally asked where the chicks were, I was told "outside," with no effort to assist further. Outside, no one initially helped us. Eventually, a young employee approached and was polite, helpful, and allowed us to select a chick ourselves. As first-time customers in this type of setting, we relied on the guidance we were given. Then an older employee, identified as "Tete," approached in an aggressive and confrontational manner, raising her voice at both the employee and myself. She escalated the situation unnecessarily and even placed her hands on my shoulder, which is completely inappropriate. She also began speaking to me in broken Spanish despite me speaking English the entire time, which felt like an unfounded assumption. If there are rules about not touching the chicks, that needs to be clearly communicated and consistently enforced--not handled through public confrontation. What made this worse is that the employee assisting me--and even a supervisor--appeared confused by her reaction, stating that this was how they normally handle things. That inconsistency reflects a clear lack of training and management oversight. I also couldn't ignore the condition of many of the chicks, with a noticeable number appearing to have pasty vent issues, which raises concerns about their care. I ultimately chose not to make a purchase. I will not spend money in a place where customers are treated this way. This was not a product issue--it was a failure in professionalism, training, and management. If you're considering a feed store, I would strongly recommend looking in Broward instead. The difference in atmosphere and customer service is worth the drive.

The surroundings for such events are beautiful and I had an amazing experience and enjoyed seeing the beautiful Koi's. So nice that dogs are welcome too, just couldn't give it the 5 stars based on seeing some of the poor parrots imprisoned in cages way too small with no stimulation which has caused them to start plucking themselves. Those big Macaw's definitely deserve to be in a space big enough to fly or the cages would be better used for smaller birds if any. Unfortunately seeing those birds in cages takes away from what could have been an amazing experience.

We previously purchased a Green Wing Macaw from this shop, so when they had a Blue and Gold Macaw available, we trusted them enough to buy another. We had been visiting this baby since hatch day. They kept her for approximately six months, beginning in February, and during that time we visited her well over 15 times. As the months went by, we became increasingly concerned about how long they were keeping her. It seemed unusually long, and during several visits she appeared frail. We trusted their experience and believed they would never send a sick bird home. About two weeks ago they finally called and said she was ready. We picked her up and brought her into a home that was fully prepared for her. She had her own room-sized cage, constant supervision, and all the love in the world. We are experienced macaw owners and watched her very closely every single day. Exactly one week later, on Tuesday morning, we found her lying on the floor of her cage, unresponsive. My husband sped to the nearest emergency veterinarian while I performed CPR on her the entire drive, praying there was still a chance to save her. There wasn't. The emergency avian veterinarian told us she had a pre-existing illness that had been progressing for quite some time. They explained that even if we had gotten her there immediately, her chance of survival was only about 0 to 2 percent because the disease had advanced too far. Hearing those words completely shattered us. The hardest part is knowing we only had this beautiful bird for seven days after the shop had cared for her for roughly six months. We cannot say what they knew, but based on what the emergency veterinarian told us, we are left with serious questions about how a bird suffering from such a significant illness was released as healthy. Since her passing, we have reached out to the shop looking for answers. Our texts have gone unanswered, and we have been completely avoided. That lack of communication has made an already heartbreaking situation even worse. We waited six months for this bird. We visited her constantly. We prepared everything for her arrival. Instead of decades together, we got seven days before having to perform CPR on a macaw we already considered part of our family. If you decide to purchase a bird from this shop, please protect yourself and the bird. Request complete veterinary records, ask about disease testing, and have the bird examined by an independent avian veterinarian immediately before or after bringing it home. Do not rely solely on verbal reassurance. We would never wish this experience on anyone. Losing a companion animal is heartbreaking enough. Losing one after only a week because of what an emergency veterinarian described as a long-standing illness is something we will never forget.
