I had learned from previous tailors to come in the shoes you'd like the dress to be hemmed to. I arrived in the evening, and the owner greeted me. She had me try on the floor-length dress with my shoes. She quickly marked her place on my dress in the front and told me it was a $70 hem and that I could pick it back up in a week. I was shocked. I was expecting to have to stand in place for 30 minutes while she marks her place all around the dress. I was very pleased with the pickup timing too, considering other places I've been to. I had a small schedule change and called and requested I picked it up another day and she said that would be just fine. I had expected to try on the dress again when I picked it up, but she didn't ask me to do that. I just paid and left with my dress all wrapped up. It was hemmed well and looked professional. The only downside was that during the wedding dancing I stepped on the back of the dress once or twice. Wasn't a big deal, just unexpected. The hem fell right where I needed it to with my shoes. I'll be back!

I can't say enough about this company. I wish I could give her more stars…read more After receiving "free alterations" from the place we purchased the dress, we took my daughter's wedding gown to Supha for alterations. She was wonderful. She works with you on a time that is convenient for you to meet and discuss the alterations. Right way she noticed the cups in my daughter's dress were too big for her and took them out right away. She listened to our concerns and was very helpful and friendly. She asked about the bustle that the other person had done for us. We thought the bustle was supposed to look like the way it had been done. The other person had put the bustle together with 5 hook and eyes but it made it look like a tail hanging of my daughter's butt. We all agreed that it was not done correctly. She fixed the dress with two clear buttons and made it look beautiful. The day before the bridal shoot we picked up the dress and it was perfect. When my daughter tried it on, she looked wonderful. Supha looked at the length and said with heels the dress will be perfect. The problem was that my daughter was wearing flats. She said she thought the dress was too long (we had been told the length was perfect by the other lady). Supha knew the bridal shoot was the next day. She said she would hem the dress and we could pick it up the next morning. This was not a simple hem project. She literally had to cut the lace and resew it by hand. She had the dress ready the next day. We were so thankful to find her. She also helped us with a couple of bridesmaid dresses. Another alteration company (suggested by the bridal shop) tried to hem the dresses and the hem was not even. There were some other alterations that needed to make the dresses fit. She altered the dresses and made them beautiful. Honestly, if I would have known about her sooner, I would have skipped the two alteration companies the bridal shop recommended (even the free alterations). She was wonderful and so helpful!

OMG. You guys. My…read moreold OK Sew Co review is just for silly old jeans. I wanted to update my review for a recent, amazing update I had done to a dress. Here's some background: I love Johnny Was. It is my favorite brand. I don't buy it often because it is expensive, but I scour for sales, and I always end up getting 1-2 pieces per year. This year, so far, I have bought four pieces because sales have been insane. I bought an amazing dress on sale from Neiman's online this spring, but it was a full size too big and way too long. I needed several changes: the arms shortened, the whole bottom shortened (but replaced with the original bottom piece because of the way the dress kicks out at the bottom) and it needed to be taken in everywhere. Natalie came to the house, and as she was pinning, I started to realize what an undertaking it would be. The end result is phenomenal. I love it even more than I thought I would. I think my favorite thing is that she added a drawstring so I can tighten it at the waist. Even after spending hours on my dress, she took the time to add a wonderful detail: to the ends of the drawstrings, she added some of the embroidery from what she had taken off. It was some absolutely amazing attention to detail and I was so thankful for the time she put in overall. I found the pricing and turnaround time both incredibly reasonable for what I needed done. I also appreciate Natalie for being so patient with my daughter (an extra extrovert who never gets to see humans anymore). Natalie was so attentive to and patient with her, even though it is not in the job description to dote on wordy four year olds. I know everyone always wants Laura, but Natalie is amazing. I will request her from now on because she is so talented.
