Pay attention and don't panic. If it does not come from Orange County, it is not legitimate. Additionally, the law provides them 20 calendar days to give you notice and collect payment with this lien. It has to be received by your home on or BEFORE the 20th day, postmarked dates DO NOT count, it is the date that you receive it that counts; if you received it on the 21st day (the mail man scanned it on the 21st day) it does not count. Below is the email I sent, and I have successfully gotten them to cash my check and accept the payment I initially provided, NOT what they were looking to get out of me with falsehoods. Also, I received a "Lien Release" also on THEIR letterhead, not Orange County, further proving this was fake. *********************************************************************************** Hi XXXXX - Hoping this email finds you well and safe. A contractor that I hired has an account with Robertson's Ready Mix and I'm trying to protect myself from the possibility of a mechanics lien. Although my contractor says he's paid the invoice for the concrete that was delivered (and that he can prove it with documentation from his bank), Robertson's has ignored several requests for a lien waiver. I've tried calling to speak with someone in charge, and I've supposedly been transferred to the manager, only to be sent straight to voicemail. I've left messages and sent emails, but I've received zero response. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB. I want to trust the contractor, but it worries me that Robertson's is refusing to provide the lien waiver. Like many others, they lazily sent us a letter saying we owed them money, and then sent a follow up "lien release", when we reached out through our HOA to say WE never hired them to do any work. Our HOA hired them to fix the playground across the street from our house. When I called them today, the person in "credit", Rosa, said they were a large company and "don't have time to look up every address"!!! Madness. If an order is placed that was not paid and it goes to your home they will hold you liable and will place a lien on your property. I was invited to an interview and, at 8:45 AM, I proactively texted Laura to inform her that I was experiencing a delay due to needing to charge my EV. I received no response at all. TWO weeks after the job was completed I received a California Preliminary Notice saying the contractor did not pay them & I was liable for the cost of the cement. They would put a lien on my house if I did not pay the amount. My contractor has a 30-day credit with the company, so why would they do that. Hello. You messed up the date to pour our concrete pad and then wouldn't respond to our contractor about it. We had people here ready to work on the timeline you agreed to. Our contractor tried to get in touch with you all morning. You were shown the correct date again through text and told to cancel the project. We finally had someone else come to do the job instead, as there was no reason to pay crews to do nothing all day, on your mistake. We have evidence of the conversation with the contractor, including the correct date and the fact that he told you to cancel the project due to YOUR mistake. For some reason you sent a truck the next morning (after the job had been done by someone else and you'd been notified that your services were no longer needed). I have video evidence of the people who did the job and your guy with the truck being told that you'd made a mistake and the job was cancelled. I also have video of our contractor telling your concrete guy who came the next/wrong day exactly what happened. Then, we get 3 letters in the mail from you putting a lein in our house for payment... for a job you did not do. You didn't even get people here to do the job (that was already poured and cancelled). You did exactly NOTHING on this property. How dare you threaten us with a massive bill for something you DID NOT EVEN DO! I want, in writing, a full and complete retraction of all 3 letters as well as proof that there is no lein on our house for YOUR mistake. You have known about this "mistake" in threatening us for over a week and you have not resolved it. I expect this to be fixed today, and will continue to escalate this until it is done. The pool remodeling company we used, (Ultimate Pool Remodeling) ordered all the colored concrete for our deck and patio from Robertson's Ready mix. The color ordered was Desert Tan D-21 as seen in first photo below but, as you can see, the color we received from Robertsons is the lovely shade of peach shown in the 2nd photo below on the right hand side. We called Robertson's approx 30 days after the pour because the pool company said that's how long it takes for concrete to cure. Robertsons had someone from their quality control department come out to our home and take some samples back with them. While the quality control person was here, he stated that something definitely went wrong with the color and said they would get back with us in a couple of days. They never called so we contacted them and after several attempts, we finally spoke with a manager at Robertson's who rudely informed us that we were not technically their customers because we went through Ultimate Pool Remodeling so, they were their customer, and we would have to go through them. We contacted the pool remodeling company once again after many failed attempts to have this problem resolved earlier. They finally responded through email to let us know that Robertson's was only willing to credit them $539 instead of the whole $4200 we paid for the incorrectly colored concrete so, that's all we were refunded. We had to have all the concrete torn out at our own expense then had to pay another company to replace it. What a costly experience! Needless to say, we will never use Robertson's ready mix or Ultimate Pool Remodeling again and would never recommend either to anyone we know because they did not stand behind their customer or product. Abuse of lien law -- harassed on a weekend over a bill that's not mine I received a certified letter on my day off, trying to rest over the weekend, from Robertson's threatening a lien on my home for concrete I never personally ordered. My general contractor confirmed he paid them, and they never even contacted him before mailing this threatening notice to me directly. This is a clear abuse of California's lien law, and frankly, an intimidation tactic. It's disgusting to think a company can just look up your address online, send you threatening legal mail without due diligence, and expect you to panic and pay. This experience was intrusive, inappropriate, and unprofessional. Robertson's should go after the people they did business with--not harass homeowners who've already paid their contractor in full. This review concerns them sending out a "prelim" letter to my wife and I concerning work done by Coastline Masonry replacing cement in our front and back yards. Their trucks showed up at our place on time and there were no issues. However, we received the letter announcing their intention to place a lien on our property if their bill was not paid immediately by Coastline. We were very pleased with Ray and Ashley and their company, Coastline Masonry. When I reached out to them after receiving the letter, they responded right away. They had paid the bill within the 20 day window. However, according to Ashley, Robertson's did not send out their invoice to Coastline for 10-12 days, eating in to that 20 day window. Still, Coastline paid on time, but apparently since it was a Friday going into the weekend, Robertson's sent the prelim letter anyway. To me, it's a scare tactic designed to get us to put pressure on Coastline to pay their bill. I'd say Robertson's overall rating of 1.5 stars on Yelp is well deserved. They don't reply to the reviews so I guess they don't care. read more

Probably one of the worst run construction suppliers that I have ever encountered. Our business never deals directly with concrete suppliers, but rather subs all out to trades that set-up and pour themselves. We have been in the custom home build business for 40 years running about 10-15 jobs at once. Due to the location of one job outside our normal territory, our PM set up an account for materials and ordered this as a one-off situation. We received a call from our client who advised that he was freezing all draws as he received a Mechanics Lien from Robertson's. When I (the accountant) called and asked Robertson's why the lien, I was advised that our two invoices weren't paid. While I was unaware that we were even doing business with them, I asked what invoices, whose name was on them and where were they sending them. Turns out the person on their end entered our company name incorrectly and was sending invoices to an email address different than the one on the application submitted by the Project Manager. They acknowledge that we did indeed submit the correct info and advised that we should have called them for invoices. No mentioned that the emails were rejected, nor did they make any attempt to call us to inquire about payment...just issued a mechanics lien. The credit agent had to be the most rude individual I have ever encountered. No apologies, no admission that they caused this situation, no offer to correct the situation even after we advised that we could send check or credit card payment (for an additional fee). They advised that it would be two weeks after payment was received before they would retract their lien. This has caused our project to come to a standstill ($1 million per month) due to two invoices that they failed to send our business totaling $7,000. Horrible company, horrible customer service. After reading all reviews of this company and dealing with their credit department, it appears that they input application information in their system incorrectly on purpose just so that they can lien clients. They provided us with the worst ready mix quality there were so many 1 inch rocks when our order specified 3/8 pea gravel pump mix. . We called them to let them know there is no way we can use this concrete it would damage the pump. They transferred us to their corona location where we spoke to the office manager Robert and he had THE WORST customer service. He was extremely rude and not understanding . Similar to the experiences of many people who have left reviews here, a contractor I hired had Robertson's deliver concrete for a project of mine, and Robertson's was paid in full, cash on delivery. Then Robertson's sends me a notice via certified mail that the bill is unpaid and threatening to place a lien on my home. In addition, the amount on the bill is vastly inflated compared to the actual price agreed upon between my contractor and Robertson's. Looking at the other reviews here, this seems to be a deliberate predatory practice. Straightening this issue out took multiple phone calls over the course of a week and a half, during which Robertson's gave me and my contractor the runaround when all they needed to do was admit that they were paid on delivery. To make a long story short, these people are shady. If you have the misfortune of having to deal with them, be sure to keep all your receipts and record your phone calls. But what would be much much better is to hire a different concrete company. read more

I was even told by my interviewer that he looked forward to my second interview. I never received a call back. I've emailed the H.R. department thanking them for the interview, as well as letting them know, I look forward to my second interview as well as I look forward to possibly working for the company. I received a letter threatening to place a lien on my property. The letter came from Maria Saucedo I left several messages for Maria she did not return my phone calls. We pay over $4,000 to Gerardo Vega senior AKA Jerry Vega and his son Gerardo Vega Jr. Both told us that they are construction workers and that they are very reliable. Both father and son told us the work will be completed in 3 months. They told us that they have several crewmembers who will be working daily however they only had two people doing all the work I was told that they were not getting paid by Jerry. We trusted Jerry Sr. and Jr. We paid them $60,000. Jerry promised to do landscaping, waterfall, pool, concrete work and artificial grass/turf. None of the work was completed and Jerry and his son would not return my phone calls. They did not return to the job site. I'm filing a class action lawsuit if anybody interested please contact me. I wrote down the license plate number, took photos of the damage and filled out my claims form correctly. I get a letter a month later saying since the cement was from a tire that my insurance would have to deal with it. Nowhere in my form did I state the cement came from a tire! Verified the calculations just to see if I had made a mistake on my end and no mistake made. I called in to let them know of the situation and they said they go by the weight of the truck load. I was a bottom dump driver for a little over a year..it's a good place to get your experience..correction, actually it's not a good place.... If you are new you will probably get and old truck, spare truck that everyone used to drive and it's probably not a safe truck to drive..my trailers were really old and had to get welding every other month or something like that....I told them that I didn't feel safe with those trailers..they didnt care... My AC broke and I was told by gilbert and david that Ac was a luxury to have..I was like wooh and the mechanic for AC was never available. I had one of the super visors who was really nice told me that my AC wasn't going to get fixed because it wasn't summertime that's just the way they see things in there even though some days were like 80° or higher... So overall experience.... Disappointed they don't take care of employees, long hrs and Saturdays are almost mandatory.. might as well work at mcdonald's that many hrs and make probably the same without risking your license or life with those all trucks read more
