Jose the owner came out and we discussed what I wanted done. 255 sqft of concrete 2 steps 3ft wide Curb around the pool pump Jose suggested a few changes, one change was not pouring the 3 ft wide steps I wanted and pouring it flat. So we decided to pour the concrete flat. However I still wanted the curb but jose didn't put it in the quote. I take credit for failing to acknowledge that, but I thought since he knew what I wanted it would get done. When jose came out to do the work he pretended we talked about no curb. When I told jose I wanted the curb he said it would be more money. I asked jose why he didn't add it in the quote when he knew I wanted it from the beginning. Few things to note: Jose didn't bring many tools, his laser was old and probably not calibrated Jose didn't measure his own work so he had no idea if my measurements were correct. (Licensed contractors usually measure there quantities) Jose asked to use his tractor to remove the dirt but didn't add it in the quote but wanted to tell me he rented it and I owe him more money Basically save your time and money and go with someone more experienced, easier to work with and takes the stress off and doesn't add more...this company will create more problems than solve! After one day of work I had to find someone else, and then jose accused me of stealing from his family, because I wasn't gonna pay him $1000 For his 6hrs worth of work him and his son did. read more

We hired Stingray Pools to put in a pool and landscaping in our backyard in June of 2020. JV Concrete Design was one of the major contractors that did most of the work in our backyard during the process of putting in the pool. We probably had more interaction with Jose of JV Concrete than we did with our actual pool contractor, lol. He was always very helpful and informative every time we talked to him. He was also the contractor that did the landscaping in our backyard, and I feel like he did a very good job of understanding exactly what we were looking for in the backyard, as well how to take care of everything. JV Concrete is very versatile and has the knowledge to make sure things are done right. They completely gutted a front and back yard, poured walkways and patio along with sprinkler system repairs. Things turned out great and after doing this house, we had them pour another 33 x 13 patio at the other house. Jose communicates very well and explains everything he is going to do. We used this company less than a year ago to stain and seal concrete in our front and backyard. We started with the backyard and once the project was completed there were some areas were the sealer had bubbles. They came back and corrected the problem and we proceeded to move onto the front yard. They explained they were using a different sealer because of the heavy traffic from vehicles on the front concrete. The work was completed in August 2019. The front area looks great the backyard horrible. We have large areas of discoloration on the back concrete and it is no longer shiny. We contacted the owner of the company and were told they stand behind their work but not the products they use. We offered to meet them halfway and purchase new sealer if they would not charge for the labor. They were not willing to meet us even halfway and did not even offer to come and look at the concrete. I definitely would not recommend this company Since six months after the work was completed they wouldn't even take the time to evaluate the area and if they don't stand behind their products what does that tell you??? I wouldn't even rate this company a one star! read more
