Having exercised at an on-again/off-again basis and with no real diet structure, I really wanted some guidance with a diet plan and motivational instruction to show me how to workout correctly- what exercises I should do to accomplish my goals. On the first day, Chad asked me what my goal was, and I told him that I wanted to lose weight and get defined. Chad is great! He is absolutely what I need to get me to where I want to go. He is positive and motivational, and every workout has been fun and different. That's right... they are FUN! Our workouts are intense, and I feel incredible afterward. Also, the workouts are so constructive and I feel like I have made so much progress that, on the days I don't see him, I am motivated to reinforce our progress it by doing what I need to do between sessions. Chad is a great accountability partner, and he wants me to succeed. On the days that we are not doing our workouts, I do cardio at my recreation/workout facility. For the first time in my life, I am actually careful of what I eat! Imagine that! I lost 10 lbs. in 2 weeks and 19 lbs in 1 month! For me, the sessions with Chad are like a game day in a sport. We both know if I am ready for the game that day; if I have "practiced" for it during the week by sticking to my diet plan and exercising during the week in between sessions. He is absolutely wonderful at providing positive motivation and positive reinforcement, but I know that this is my body; my workout; my decision. I have to want to succeed as much as he wants for me to be a success story. This is one of the best things that I have ever done in my life. I feel better, I look better, I am happier, and I am still seeing progress and improvement every week. I have gone from a size 38 (40 in some pants) down to a size 35, and they fit very comfortably! My wife loves the way that I look and she is very proud of me. I started working with Stanley 6 months ago on the recommendation of a friend who'd already been working with him and was very satisfied, and I couldn't be happier with my early results! I feel stronger than I've been in years, I'm more flexible, and a painful sciatica issue that I suffer from has been greatly improved, which I'm so thankful for. Stanley is very kind and attentive and patient, yet he has a wonderful way of motivating you to push yourself and continue to achieve more and more! Especially with my sciatica issue, I'm fearful of injuring myself further during exercise, but Stanley is very aware of this and checks in often to see how I'm feeling - if something feels "not quite right," we stop and he helps me modify whatever I'm doing so that I can continue to achieve results without risking my health. I also appreciate that Stanley continues to learn and gain new certifications, so he's always up-to-date on current knowledge and practices. Plus, he's just a FUN person to be around, and he brings very positive energy to the workout! I still HATE going to the gym, but I've grown to LOVE "the gym that comes to me!" I signed up for personal training at what I understood was a flat rate. After learning about additional charges that were never explained to me when I signed up (80 dollar initial scan fee, 50 dollars a month for inbody scan, 3% processing charge, 80 dollar gym membership) I was very alarmed. I thought I was signing up for a flat rate of 640, but with the additional charges it ended up being 800 dollars a month - none of this was outlined in the contract I signed. When I asked him to send me the contract so I could verify the fees are not in the contract, he refused and said it was all explained verbally to me (which is 100% a lie and if it were true, it's unethical to charge customers based on 'verbal' agreements). He ended up not charging me for two months of the gym - which if it would have ended there I would have been completely fine and not feel the need to write this. I decided to complete my 3 month contract and after that I would not be able to financially support 800 a month and would no longer be signing up for additional months. When I informed Taylor I would be cancelling I received an e-mail with a notice of my cancellation and in the notes "Has been a pain in the a** since day 1" when I confronted him about this he said "oh it's just a jovial joke, you know", didn't apologize! and went on to belittle me saying I am the problem and he never has issues like this. I have never felt so disrespected and talked down to in my entire life. All I was trying to do was understand additional charges that were not in my contract nor communicated to me and instead of realizing there is a gap in his business model he shifts the blame to me "I've never had this problem with anyone but you". Just so disrespectful, I am extremely appalled. I would never ever recommend anyone doing business with Taylor. This is not how you treat someone paying you 800 dollars a month. And to anyone from the gym who is going to respond to this.... it isn't about the money, it's about being ethical with your contracts and how you treated me. Five stars for the gym, equipment, and my amazing trainer. Zero stars for the way they treat their customers.
