    We had a great time at Robins and the service was fantastic. I appreciate that the restaurant has a slide scale of price and customize your omakase based on your budget and what you liked. My favorite piece was the one with uni and crunchy seaweed.

    We came to Robin to celebrate my birthday. We made a reservation off Resy and were seated at the sushi bar. The door to the entrance is a little discreet as there's no indicator or sign that says it's Robin. The way the restaurant works is that you pick a price point starting at $119 for the base and can go upwards. Our chef recommended starting at the base and then you have the option to increase your budget which is what we did. I would definitely recommend doing that as well since I'm not sure if you start higher, would that mean you get the base items including more nigiri or does that just mean you get more premium fish? The nigiri for the base items were standard. I felt as though some items could've had more wasabi, salt, or sauce on them as it was quite simple and clean. I was also underwhelmed with the house made potato chip and caviar item. When we started increasing our budget, we tried the Kama toro, otoro, cod, and Alaskan salmon which were all my top bites. Overall, we ended with about 20 pieces/courses in total and left extremely full. I would say the base price is a good starting point for someone who wants Omakase, but you have to ask your chef for specific fish that you like and you basically pay for what you get.

    Robin was hands down one of the best omakase experiences I've ever had. The service was exceptional, the food was spectacular, and the entire evening felt unique and memorable from start to finish. Once we were seated, the chef asked what type of experience we were looking for, with pricing ranging from $119-$219 per person. He then took the time to ask about our likes and dislikes so he could truly tailor the meal to us. I loved that the experience was completely customized -- based on your price point and preferences, you receive a curated tasting that feels personal and thoughtful. We chose the $219 per person experience, and it was absolutely worth it. The photos I attached don't even include all of the dishes we received -- the courses just kept coming. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed (in the best way possible) and so impressed by the generosity and pacing of the experience. Every dish that came out was beautifully plated and incredibly fresh. The fish quality was outstanding, and each flavor pairing felt intentional and perfectly balanced. You can really tell how much care goes into every bite. I'm already looking forward to coming back! One quick note: parking in the area can be tricky, so I recommend giving yourself extra time to find a spot.

    I wasn't expecting much from this place. I've done countless omakases at all levels and I dont usually prefer contemporary omakases because I find the presentation and ingredients just end up not working or masking the flavor of the fish entirely. This was not the case at Robin! First of all, amazing value! $119 per person for 10 courses and dessert. Our server also threw in a sake shot and a small serving of plum wine came with dessert. You can order more if you feel like it but I came away full, buzzed, and happy. We sat on the patio and it was a little chilly but there are heaters and it was nice to have some privacy. Service was great and perfectly timed and we never felt forgotten. Some standouts: Toro + uni on perfectly toasted nori, potato chip nigiri with caviar, wagyu + foie gras nigiri, dessert was non dairy coconut soft serve with sea salt, cardamom caramel sauce, and dark chocolate chips. Will def be back when I'm in town again to try the full $210 omakase!

    Had a nice overall experience at Robin. The food was fresh and well prepared, and you can tell care goes into the dishes. While the quality was good, the pricing felt a bit high for what you get, but everything still tasted solid and enjoyable. The ambiance was quiet and intimate, which made it a great spot for a relaxed dinner. Service was also good and attentive throughout the meal. They even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary, which was a really thoughtful touch. Overall a pleasant experience and a nice place for a special occasion.

    Creds to Chef Dava for making our omakase experience one to remember! I felt totally spoiled. Every bite was delicious, but my favorites consisted of the lime hamachi, wagyu with foie snow, uni spoon, thai inspired salad, akami, and black snapper. I know one of Robin's signatures is the potato chip nigiri, but personally, I wasn't the biggest fan. I did love the creativity and variety of fish we got to sample, though.

    For anyone wondering - yes, Robin lives up to the hype. Went there for my partner's birthday dinner a few weeks ago and was blown away. For a pretty pricey omakase experience, the vibes were not pretentious at all, which I truly appreciated. The service was also amazing, they even gifted us some sake in between courses. Really impressed by my experience and would highly recommend for a special occasion!

    Truly had such an amazing experience here that I wish I could give more stars. Made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday, which was easy to do through their website. Be warned that they charged for last minute cancellations and no shows, which is pretty standard for restaurants like this. This was the first omakase experience for my boyfriend and I, and our expectations were truly exceeded. Parking seems to be street only, but on a Monday at 5:30pm, we luckily found street parking just across the street. The ambiance was very lively and high energy. My boyfriend noted that they played bay area classics, which I think fits the cool vibe of this place. I can't remember everything we tried, but everything was delicious and we left full. Each dish was thoroughly explained and presented beautifully. Even provided a birthday dessert at the end. Definitely a restaurant for special occasions but I highly recommend!

We sat at the bar which we preferred to be able to speak with our chef throughout the meal. Everything was fresh - lots of fruit/nut features.     Had a great time here sitting at the counter! Definitely go for counter seating if you can. Our chef explained each dish and was really attentive to what we liked or didn't like. This isnt the place for traditional sushi omakase. They play with a wide range of flavors and often those flavors overpower the fish. Personally I really enjoyed it, it was fun and almost everything tasted amazing. The vibe is very casual which I usually don't mind but some of the music choices were questionable (WAP).

    Update : Changed to 1 star because my friend got food poisoning from their sashimi. It was so unfresh she's still unwell and bedridden today (Monday) This was a very disappointing experience. I gave 2 stars just to be nice, one star goes to the cozy, intimate atmosphere with a modern touch. I had noted during the reservation that it was my birthday, but there was no acknowledgment at all. No note, no "happy birthday" at the table. The service was also lacking. We weren't given an Omakase menu, so we had no idea what we were eating. There was no palate cleanser (ginger) unless we specifically asked, and when it came, the ginger was overly strong and unpleasant. I've had many Omakase experiences before, and none of them had a palate cleanser this poorly prepared. The food itself was the biggest letdown. - The shaved foie gras was overpowering, and I couldn't even taste the Wagyu it was paired with. - The sesame noodles were so oily it felt like I was drinking oil. - The corn soup was watery and clashed with Sichhan spicy taste sauce, they just didn't go well together. - Sushi rice was dry, not fresh, and completely disappointing. - The potato chips with caviar and rice didn't work at all. The chips were cheap and not even homemade, the rice completely overpowered the caviar, and all I could taste was rice. - Each sashimi bite had a slight bitterness with undercooked rice that made it unpleasant. Nothing flowed well together, and nothing tasted fresh. Even the desserts were underwhelming. The coconut ice cream was overly creamy and sweet. Compared to the unfresh and poorly executed dishes before it, the ice cream was at least edible, but far from impressive. I've dined at many Omakase restaurants, and I've never had one that failed from start to finish. Both my friend and I ended up with stomach flu afterward. I won't be returning.

    Went to Robin for our 9:30pm reservation and we got there about 20 minutes early. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. They seated us outside at one of the heated tables while we waited for our table inside, and they even gave us wine on the house which was really nice and thoughtful. The food was really good. Flavors were clean and balanced, presentation was beautiful, and you can tell they put a lot of care into each course. I really enjoyed the nigiri, especially the fattier cuts and the uni bites. The textures and sauces paired well without overpowering the fish. Even the hot dishes like the noodles and the soup were comforting and well executed. What I think can be improved is the order of the nigiri progression. The last piece felt more mild and lean in flavor. I feel like if they started with the leaner fish and worked their way up to the fattier and richer pieces, it would leave a stronger finish. Ending on something more indulgent might make the experience feel more complete. Other than that, we really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Service stood out and we would come back.

    Overall the sushi was good. They let you pick omakases based on a price you want to pay and that starts from $150 and up. The service was fairly good. It's a relatively large restaurant so there's plenty of seating at the tables and at the bar.

The staff did not seem very concerned. Bad start. You could also hear the mall cleaning crew during dinner, which was not very pleasant. I ordered the 24-item Mizuho Menu, as did all the other guests. There were 5 guests in total (the restaurant can seat up to 8 people). Here is the menu I was served at the end of May: 1. starter: ama ebi cracker with caviar, pickled lotus root with shaved bonito, crab salad 2. nigiri 4x: isaki, iwana, myabi tai, kanpachi 3. sashimi: chutoro, hotate with caviar, umi masu, sawada 4. nigiri 8x: hirame, suzuki, inada, kurodai, shima aji, kamasu, otoro, aged A5 wagyu, kinmedai 5. hot dish: miso soup with inari and shrimp head, hokkaido uni with marinated ikura, black cod, umi masu with raw yellow egg and caviar 6. dessert: matcha ice cream with strawberry Frankly, the food was excellent. For the nigiri, all the classics of a good omakase were present: otoro, kinmedai, shima aji, uni, hotate, and wagyu. Kamasu was also included, and it is one of my favorite fish. It is also worth noting that they age both their beef and their tuna, including the otoro that was served. A few pieces were torched, maybe a few too many. Overall, the service was not memorable, although chef Ron Au was friendly and nice. The place itself felt a bit questionable, and my expectations were not very high after the beginning of the meal. But the food was truly excellent, and for that reason I think it deserves 5 stars.

It was hard not to grab a bunch of plates since the sushi tasted very fresh and there was a ton of variety going around. I got a mix of rolls and a Sapporo, which paired perfectly. Staff was quick and efficient, even with how crowded it was. Prices were also very affordable for sushi, especially considering the quality. Solid spot if you want fresh conveyor belt sushi without paying too much.
