Great place. Not a lot of seats, but the service feels very personal and intimate given the size. Almost feels like the couple who run this place are inviting you into their home, albeit a home with nice decor. And the food itself is very good. Traditional in most of the dishes, while particularly creative and fun in others. Totally worth trying if you like Omakase experiences.

A unique, family owned, intimate spot. It's omakase (chef's choice) and the quality is outstanding. If you have any food restrictions, you can call them in advance and they will prepare. They create unique items with high quality ingredients.

WOW!!! Doma was an absolute experience. This quaint dining spot in Bernal Heights was a true surprise for us. My husband did a great job finding this place and certainly did not disappoint us. One of the best Omakase dining experience. Let's not forget all the fresh seafood and wagyu beef was so "Oishi!" We can't wait to go back. Perfect Anniversary Dinner for us.

We had our post-Christmas dinner here, and it was beyond lovely. The atmosphere was wonderfully private, and the couple who run the restaurant are incredibly friendly and sweet. Every course of the omakase was delicious. Having visited many sushi spots, we can honestly say the quality and experience surpassed a 1-Michelin-starred restaurant we've been to! The fish was exceptionally fresh and tender; we left wanting more. The scallop, toro, uni, and wagyu were the absolute standouts.

Found this little hole-in-the-wall gem and decided to celebrate our anniversary here--such a great decision! It was quiet, intimate, and felt like a secret spot just for us. Only one other party was dining, which made the experience even more special. We did the omakase, and every piece of sushi was beautifully prepared and stayed true to traditional flavors. Nothing flashy--just incredibly fresh, thoughtful bites. Had a genuinely great time and left full and happy. Definitely a hidden gem worth revisiting.

My spouse and I had an anniversary dinner here. We were the only guests dining so we had an intimate experience. The sushi was creative and fresh. The omakase is reasonably priced and a good value for the 12+ dishes we enjoyed. The sushi chef was fast and polite, although he didn't seem interested in chatting much even though we were the only guests dining. I'm not sure why, but the beverages are all overpriced - $20 for a pot of tea, $20 for a bottle of sparkling water, $19 per glass of wine without any indication of the wine type. We skipped drinks besides water

I never liked eating omakase or sushi in general, but Doma was the best omakase I've ever had, taste-wise and experience-wise. We were celebrating a birthday on a slower Wednesday night. The owners were very sweet, they were understanding even though my party ran 30 minutes late. They have a little floral wall so it's nice for photo ops too. The food was amazing. Normally, I wouldn't enjoy eating omakase but the food quality and quantity was just right. I actually left feeling full and did not need to order supplemental course. It's a little hard to find as it's located in a neighborhood, but worth it. Business looks a little slower compared to all the omakase spots in SF, but the quality and service is definitely worth it. I would for sure come back.

I came here earlier this year for Valentine's day with my girlfriend, and I have to say this is probably one of the most value for your dollar Omakase that you'll find within SF. While $150 is still a lot, for Omakase in the bay area it actually is a pretty good price as you get the whole experience watching the chef prepare the food for you. The inside is homey and well-decorated, with around 15 seats or so at the table around the chef who is in the middle. The service is great, and the chef/waiters are very attentive to everything you need. The food here is great and very high quality, as all the slices of fish are very fresh and imported from Japan. The flavors are top-notch, and it's a show when you get to see the chef use the torch on them right before you eat them. There is a wide variety of items, ranging from monkfish to uni to beef sashimi with gold flakes and caviar on top! I came out of here feeling full, so I think I definitely got my money's worth. Doma seems like a more local spot in SF, and so it might fly under a lot of people's radar. Highly recommend checking it out when you're able to!

I highly recommend this place to everyone, it is such a hidden gem! The place itself is very cozy and relaxed, it is very unique in compare to all other omakase places. Service was excellent, both the sushi chef (owner?) and his wife (server?) were very friendly and sweet. They made our dining experience even better. Highlight of this place is definitely the food! Each piece was well explained and has its own uniqueness. I enjoyed every bite here (which doesn't happen to me often) All fish were fresh, decent and high quality, portion were very generous that we were so full after. And not to mention their dessert! Everything was very well put together. It is a perfect place for a date night or a casual hangout.

Can someone confirm for me that they're open for lunch on Saturdays? I see pictures that show lunchtime but the hours seem non updated.

I just walked by earlier, and their sign said 6-10pm every day. So They must not do lunch anymore.

What is their phone number? Trying to make a reservation but don't know how.

They don't have one that I've seen from walking by - I haven't had a problem just dropping by and getting seated

Each pairing in the deluxe box was seasoned and prepared perfectly with the nigiris lightly lined with wasabi and the right amount of rice. We also ordered a Sapporo pitcher which paired well with the takoyaki, middle toro, uni nigiri, and steamed egg. Convenient if you're looking for a good quality sushi spot outside of the city that has plenty of parking.

I got the tuna donburi which definitely hit the spot while my friends got the sake donburi, and some specialty rolls. They really enjoyed it! 5/5 for food quality and taste. Now for the reason of 4/5 which I may even opted for 3.5/5 if it were available. We were the first group of 9 to come in right at opening and were told that because we had a large group everyone was required to spend $70. That's not hard to hit considering you're eating out at a sushi restaurant, but the fact that we were told to spend at least $70 a person in order to be seated is crazy! We even asked what was recommended and the seasonal donburi or sake was the most popular. So now we went for those options, but still had to make up the remaining $32 per person that went for the sake donburi. Some people that didn't even want to drink opted for beer because they already got matcha next door. Service charge was already included yet the requirement to spend $70 a person just to dine here is ridiculous. I would come back, but not with a group of more than 4. Anyone that has friends or colleagues of more than 4 go elsewhere!

We also got the oxtail omurice and I thought it was good, but was a bit one note flavor wise. My other friends thought that the nigiri and yakitori were great, but the ramen/noodles were okay comparatively. We also got the pineapple beer which looked pretty different from photos I saw on Yelp. I would say it's more beer with a pineapple on top and some syrup mixed in, nothing super special. Overall, all the food was great and it came out quickly! Would just be wary of a wait when you go because it is a popular spot!
