They exclusively use O Way products ~ a luxurious, organic, Italian-farmed line that felt amazing on my scalp and hair. One of the most mind-blowing parts was the magnifying video camera used to analyze my scalp. It gives real-time insight into dryness, oil buildup, and overall scalp health to customers. It was both fascinating and reassuring to see exactly what was going on. And let's talk about the electric massager in the middle of the treatment ~ pure heaven. I didn't get a blowout since I was just going home afterward anyway, so they give you either a satin scrunchy or a nice hair clip so you don't leave with stringy wet hair. The hair products they use are pricey, but my hair was SUPER soft for days afterward because of the conditioner they use. The salon is clean and they offer free snacks and drinks in the lobby while you wait (which I took advantage of since I got here early for my appointment). As a Korean individual, I'm also disheartened by how they misuse the name "Shangri-La"--it doesn't represent Korean culture at all, and the business profits while disregarding it. They mishandled a $400+ gift certificate, despite Florida law that states gift certificates never expire. Shangri-La imposed arbitrary rules, demanded ID, and refused any solutions, even though we were legally in the right. To make it worse, Carrie was rude, offered zero empathy, and made no effort to help. When we spoke to the owner, we were mocked, cut off, and dismissed, with the owner even claiming to be a lawyer. This entire ordeal caused real emotional, mental, and physical stress. It's heartbreaking that such a large sum, meant to be a meaningful experience, is now unusable due to unjust treatment. I strongly urge them to be reasonable instead of such deviant beings.
