We previously purchased a Green Wing Macaw from this shop, so when they had a Blue and Gold Macaw available, we trusted them enough to buy another. We had been visiting this baby since hatch day. They kept her for approximately six months, beginning in February, and during that time we visited her well over 15 times. As the months went by, we became increasingly concerned about how long they were keeping her. It seemed unusually long, and during several visits she appeared frail. We trusted their experience and believed they would never send a sick bird home. About two weeks ago they finally called and said she was ready. We picked her up and brought her into a home that was fully prepared for her. She had her own room-sized cage, constant supervision, and all the love in the world. We are experienced macaw owners and watched her very closely every single day. Exactly one week later, on Tuesday morning, we found her lying on the floor of her cage, unresponsive. My husband sped to the nearest emergency veterinarian while I performed CPR on her the entire drive, praying there was still a chance to save her. There wasn't. The emergency avian veterinarian told us she had a pre-existing illness that had been progressing for quite some time. They explained that even if we had gotten her there immediately, her chance of survival was only about 0 to 2 percent because the disease had advanced too far. Hearing those words completely shattered us. The hardest part is knowing we only had this beautiful bird for seven days after the shop had cared for her for roughly six months. We cannot say what they knew, but based on what the emergency veterinarian told us, we are left with serious questions about how a bird suffering from such a significant illness was released as healthy. Since her passing, we have reached out to the shop looking for answers. Our texts have gone unanswered, and we have been completely avoided. That lack of communication has made an already heartbreaking situation even worse. We waited six months for this bird. We visited her constantly. We prepared everything for her arrival. Instead of decades together, we got seven days before having to perform CPR on a macaw we already considered part of our family. If you decide to purchase a bird from this shop, please protect yourself and the bird. Request complete veterinary records, ask about disease testing, and have the bird examined by an independent avian veterinarian immediately before or after bringing it home. Do not rely solely on verbal reassurance. We would never wish this experience on anyone. Losing a companion animal is heartbreaking enough. Losing one after only a week because of what an emergency veterinarian described as a long-standing illness is something we will never forget.

After months of veterinary visits, extensive testing, and approximately $1,500 spent on diagnostics, our avian specialist diagnosed him with Avian Bornavirus (PDD). We are now facing the heartbreaking decision of euthanasia because his condition has become irreversible. According to our avian veterinarian, this virus is transmitted from bird to bird and has a long incubation period, meaning infected birds can appear healthy for months before showing symptoms. What has been even more disappointing is the store's response. Despite providing veterinary records and attempting to resolve this matter directly, the store has refused to take responsibility or offer any meaningful assistance. Our family, especially our three children, is devastated. We hope our experience encourages prospective buyers to ask detailed questions about health screening and testing before purchasing a bird. We cannot recommend this store based on our experience.

As well they told us what they knew about the sugar gliders and told me and my company to do our additional research. I also looked around and the birds looked like they were in good conditions. I would recommend this place for you to buy your little feathered or furred friends.

This place is a perfect concept because today's children no longer interact with anything except electronic devices, nothing living. The employee gave us the opportunity for that contact; we all witnessed something unforgettable: the tropical colors of the parrots' feathers, some of which spoke in their own way. Turtles and rabbits made our visit a pleasant experience. Thank you for everything.

Lui Iliev 11 reviews·1 photo…read morejust now New Hi everyone. This review involves nothing personal and mainly is focused on reputation, responsibility and care towards customers . I bought a bird ( Indian ring neck) from Sergio less than 3 months ago. Since I already have experience and knowledge about ring neck didn't panic if the bird will get better right away and accommodate towards the surroundings and circumstances factors. The bird died less than 3 months after I got it. Since the first days the parrot was very quiet ,and not making any progress such as vocalizing, curiosity, being playful, getting familiar with surroundings. I was sold a sick ill bird. This is a fact. Contacted Sergio and he never took any responsibility or accounting for the condition of the bird . He barely responds and he ignored most of the calls or msgs. Appearantely as he claims I should have gotten a veterinary diagnosis ( obduction report) so he can assure himself that the bird was actually sick. That's a total Nonsense.. He doesn't care about returning or primary customers. . Zero consideration and attitude that he can take it to some banana republic. Wouldn't buy bird from this store . Terrible experience that doesn't deserve even a drive to the store. Don't buy from here.

We got a beautiful Blue Crowned Conure a few months ago, and we are now going for a second one. Highly recommended. Also, compared to other bird breeders that only give you a few days to take your bird to the vet and make sure it is healthy, Sergio gives you 3 weeks, and if your bird happens to have something that you can tell happened before those tree weeks, he takes care of that. The bad reviews are due to the costumers fault for not taking the bird to the vet within the 3 week window, they waited too long and their bird got sick. Don't let the bad reviews fool you. I highly recommend Petvous, go see it for yourself.

For $5500, I would expect a healthy bird and proper shipping procedures. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The bird arrived after over 12 hours in transit with no food or water. It was clearly unhealthy upon arrival and died tragically just 5 months later. On top of the initial neglect, Sergio Camacho offered no customer service or support after the bird passed away. This complete lack of care and disregard for the animal's well-being is appalling. Save yourself the heartache and financial loss. Do not buy from this business!
