If I can give a sixth star to this location, I would. A family friend recommended this location, and it was a fine recommendation indeed. I called to make an appointment last week to have a parking light replaced near my headlight. I had to make my appointment in the afternoon since I work in the morning, and while the owner told me he doesn't normally make appointments after noon, he was willing to make an exception since it was just a lightbulb that needed to be replaced. Fast forward to today, the day of my appointment, and needless to say I am quite impressed. I was in and out within 30 minutes, despite there being a lot of cars to work on. Not only that, the price was extremely reasonable: $10 for labor and an additional $2 for the lightbulb. The thing I really like about this place is the small business feel and not being screwed by big business. read more

Now, I could give you some long and personal testimony. Actually I can give you three. However, I'll tell you the one that means the most to me. I brought my Honda in for a 100K check up and tune up. Upon arriving I let him know that my wedding band had fallen down into my car and I couldn't find it. I had tried for hours the day before and thought it was lost. I mentioned it to him and said it would mean a lot. I clearly told him I had no expectation of him finding it either! The next day I came back at 6:30 (Yes he is committed and is there late. He's basically a Boss) and I got my car. What did I also get? My ring. This guy cares. He isn't sketchy. He is a stand up guy. Can you go elsewhere? Probably. Might be a little cheaper. Robinson has been our auto mechanic for over 7 years. Most of my neighbors use Robinson Automotive as well, since he's conveniently located. We have newer cars now and don't need service as often and we actually miss him! Ran into him @ Radio Shack and he gave us a hug. Then we chatted at length about business, family, etc... He is just the greatest guy! He has saved us countless dollars. Years ago he fixed a horn for us for $25.00 The dealer wanted $200! More recently I stopped by with a bulb for a burned out tail light to ask how to access the panel to change it myself. Instead, he changed it for me & refused to take any money from me as it only took him a few minutes. Robinson Automotive provides honest, quality work, in a timely & cost conscious manner, while offering superior customer service. I could not recommend highly enough!! My elderly neighbor has been in and out of the hospital lately. He felt strong enough to drive but I had noticed he had brake lights out. Based on prior reviews and the close proximity to our homes, I suggested his first trip be to Robinson's to get the bulb replaced. When we got there, there were a couple of cars ahead of us and we said we'd wait. No! He went to the car thoroughly checked all of the lights, replaced the bad bulb and we were on our way. They are AMAZING! After having a mechanic from Craigslist work on my car, I had major issues with it and nothing was working. I explained this to Rob and that I am selling it to my little sister today... He completely understood and was very empathetic about my situation. Rob is AMAZING!! He always does a great job, but this time he outdid himself! My daughter's car was having problems. My daughter was having a very hard time steering the car. I thought it might be the power steering. With being a full-time student and having three jobs, my daughter schedule is very tight. It also just happened that she was going out of town for a few days. Rob went out of his way to accommodate her schedule. Not only that, I am sure that many places would have tried to replace more parts, and charged us much more. Rob doesn't work that way. He is extremely honest, and really knows what he's doing with a wide variety of automotive brands. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that he does smog checks as well! I am fairly sure that the work Rob did on my daughter's car was stressful, as he is very busy, and we only had a little bit of time to work with. However, Rob never let on that he was stressed. He is always incredibly friendly and always has nice things to say! Not only does my daughter's car need more work, she also must have a smog check this year. DO NOT take your car to this place! I took my car in for an oil change and new brake pads, simply because this was the closest place to my house. They guy was friendly enough when I dropped it off, but when I picked it up the bill was over $100 more than I'd been quoted. I said I wasn't going to pay because I hadn't "approved the work", then he said I must have "misunderstood" him. This place tried to scam me, go at your own risk. read more
