I do recall my mother being quite upset when she was alive that the groundskeepers or landscapers had appeared to chip my grandfather's headstone with the mower. I know she mentioned it to the office several times, but nothing was ever resolved. Other than that, I personally have had no issues with the cemetery other than the delay with my mother's headstone but things happen. It is very large and maintained well I'd say.

It seemed quite park-like with lots of shade trees and many benches throughout, the grounds were manicured in most places and shrubbery trimmed appropriately. I took some time to wander the grounds with no specific site in mind. At one point, I tried to find one or two specific gravesites but the markings here made that a bit challenging as i could not easily determine which section I was in. I'm sure if you know where you're going, you'd have no trouble. Most of the cemetery is driveable with wider lanes suitable for parking. I suggest you find a shady spot and then get out to walk. Please be respectful as there are families here experiencing loss. [Review 15812 overall - 1391 in Florida - 1316 of 2021.]

I was having difficulty finding the location of a couple of burial plots to get photos of relatives…read moreheadstones for a friend, this property is huge and they do not offer burial plot location maps online. I called the office and was transferred to a woman with the sweetest voice, Anna. She has one of those sweet grandmother type voices that instantly puts you at ease. (Definitely someone is want to speak with after a loved ones passing) their office is located pretty far from the particular portion of the many Cemeteries right here. She asked me for details of where I was currently positioned (It happened to be a color coded arrow without a section # on the sign) she had me drive towards the first set of mausoleums I could see and then tell her which mausoleum it was or a section number. She then proceeded to become my live edition GPS, she stayed on the phone with me the entire time, which was quite lengthy due to taking a few wrong turns and having to cross a major high way twice, plus 2 u-turns. The call lasted 17 minutes, I apologised profusely for being such a terrible fool at following directions, each time she gave reassuring words to soothe my frazzled mind. Once I arrived and came in a woman with a beaming smile sat at the desk and gave me a warm greeting, I should have guessed it was Anna because the woman is definitely the type of woman I'd pictured in my mind that she would look like. She handed me paperwork to fill in for my requests, I struggled to fill the paperwork out as I'd left my reading glasses in the car. Guess what Anna did? She offered me hers. I politely declined & told her I'd go to my car and get mine. She was busy multitasking away with telephones, paperwork, other employees asking questions and people walking in the door. She even continued holding a conversation with me while she did all of this. While the gentleman went to his computer to research what I needed, I was shown to a large open lounge and invited to have some coffee while I waited. The lounge and entry way are clean and tastefully decorated. Considering the fact that people come here to make arrangements for their loved ones after they have passed I'd highly recommend this business and its employees.

The bar has been dropped several times. The 3 stars is soley for my recent interaction with Brentnol he was the first person to show care. I believe this case had fallen into the right hands and I want to believe this will be handled. His professionalism was top notch and the woman I believe Julie that was assisting. He was able to achieve more in an 35 minutes than we were able to with previous advisor Rackel in 6 months. I will update my review once the engraving completion has been completed. I love to deliver credit where it is due and am hopeful for a success story. The value is still in question at this moment.

I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Aikens Funeral Home for their exceptional service and care…read moreduring one of the most difficult times in my life. In November 2025, they handled the cremation arrangements for my mother, Dr. Arlessa Kubon, and I cannot speak highly enough of the compassion and professionalism they demonstrated throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, the staff treated my sister and me with patience, kindness, and genuine empathy. They took the time to answer every question we had, no matter how small, and provided thoughtful, professional guidance as we navigated the homegoing of our mother. Their support helped ease the burden during an incredibly emotional time. What truly stood out was their consistent communication and care. They checked in on us regularly, ensuring that we felt supported and informed every step of the way. In particular, LaCheryl Aikens-Guzman provided outstanding personal attention, going above and beyond to make sure our needs were met with compassion and professionalism. Their attention to detail and commitment to honoring our mother's memory gave us comfort and peace of mind. Aikens Funeral Home provides an invaluable service to the Tampa, Florida community. Their dedication to excellence, combined with their heartfelt compassion, makes them a trusted choice for families in need. I highly recommend Aikens Funeral Home to anyone seeking professional, respectful, and caring funeral services. Sincerely, Leslie Roberts II Charlottesville ,VA

They allowed unauthorized individuals to make decisions without confirming the true policy beneficiary, even though the information was available. It appears that personal relationships within the funeral home influenced decisions, and certain staff members, including Helena Green, acted in a way that raises serious ethical concerns. This situation has caused pain and confusion for our family and shows a lack of care, transparency, and accountability. Families deserve honesty and respect especially during such sensitive times. I strongly recommend others proceed with caution and make sure all authorizations are properly verified before using this funeral home.
