**Obsessed doesn't even begin to cover it**…read more Visiting Vancouver from the States, I stumbled across *The Fall* while scrolling through the internet--and I'm so glad I did. After some research, I knew I had to have my tattoo done by Fay. A few weeks before my trip, I called, paid my deposit, and sent over my design with the tweaks I wanted. Everything was set, and my excitement started to build. Fast forward to the day of my appointment--I arrived right on time, and Fay was already waiting, ready to go. She printed out my design, and let me tell you: she *nailed it*. First try, no edits needed. She even printed a few different sizes so we could settle on the perfect one. And before I knew it, she was tattooing. Yes, it hurt (because, of course it does), but the pain faded as quickly as it came. Chatting with Fay was a blast, and to top it off, she even touched up one of my older tats. And the pricing? Absolutely fantastic for the quality. But I wasn't done. Apparently, one tattoo wasn't enough--I decided to get a tragus piercing with Adam. Now, it had been 10 years since I'd had anything pierced, so naturally, I didn't quite remember what to expect. But Adam was a total pro. He distracted me effortlessly with great conversation, and before I knew it, the piercing was done. His vibe? Impeccable. Between the tats and the piercing, this experience was beyond exceptional. I'd travel out of my way again just to come back here. Thank you for making my visit unforgettable!

She had an appointment with Thor…read more After he took a look, he advised her that her ears were not suitable for another piercing due to the location of the existing piercing and the shape of her lobe. He took the time to explain the details to her and reasons why. He also said while he can do the piercing, it would not look the way she intended. He basically took the entire appointment time and ended up with nothing in return. He did not push any sales, and was very genuine and honest about it. She offered to purchase some earrings to compensate for his time and he refused. This is a business with high standards and strong integrity, and they have my full respect. Highly recommend them for this alone. There is metered street parking. Location is in chinatown, so you will see the usual sketchy drug addicts and homeless around - beware. But the staff here keep a lookout for you too and definitely have everyone's safety in mind.

During the pandemic, there is no walk-in and everyone has to book online even for jewelry viewing. I was trying to book for the earliest appointment for two people back to back, but it was not available on the website, so I called ahead and Thor managed to find a spot which is one hour apart which I ended up taking. Once we arrived, we confirmed our booking and went straight to jewelry selection. I talked a bit to Thor, that I wanted to re-pierce my second lobe, and if possible I would like to get the third one. He looked at my lobe, and felt around it, and said that second lobe is possible, but not the third one due to the cartilage being to close. I had hard time choosing the jewelry, all of it are gold, and pretty pricy, but I managed to narrow it down to a few. One of the staff offered to hold the jewelry ageist my ear, so I could see how it looks on me on the mirror. After deciding, Thor took the jewelry and sterilised it, then he brought me to the room at the back. He cleaned my ear, and while doing that he asked me if I have any concern or question. He answered all my question, and pierced my ear without much pain. I was really satisfied with the service here, would recommend!

As a former paramedic who's seen her share of nasty infections (and more), when it comes to tattoo…read moreand piercing places, nothing is more important to me than sanitary and hygienic practices, implements and skilled technicians. If the staff are nice, that's a bonus. This place has it all and deserves all five stars I'm bestowing. I initially went to their Granville Street location to inquire about tattoo removal, and they referred me to this Kits site, saying that the laser tattoo removal machine at Kits is state of the art, requires less repeat visits and is the least painful. (I wish I remember the name of this machine, but I researched it online and indeed, it was new and highly reviewed "in the biz"). The staff at this Granville site were friendly and helpful to me, but I did not get anything done here, as I went to Kits instead. I was impressed, though, with how big this store was (and, as a side note, my kid got two ear cartilage piercings here - unbeknownst to me! , - and she told me, weeks after the fact, that the staff here were very friendly and professional with her and they did a great job. So, kudos to the Granville store!). Back to Kits....there's a guy there named Craig who is unbelievably awesome with tattoo removals. I can't say enough about him. He won't make promises that he can't back up (I really respect people who tell it to me straight), and he is patient in explaining the whole process, from beginning to end, including follow-up care and procedures. I've now been back to him three times over the past 18 months. My tattoo is nearly gone (most people probably would have been happy with the results after the second zapping, as it was so faint, but my goal is for it to be totally GONE. I think the third time's the charm). Once I did not prepare in advance and did not put on the topical EMLA cream, which numbs the area, and it did hurt more than the other two times. Not crazy-painful, but like continuous snapping of an elastic on my skin. But with the cream application, it was barely noticeable. And Craig uses a cold fan of sorts to the area simultaneously as he zaps the area with the laser. I'm talking numbing cold. It really helps to minimize the pain, confusing the nerve pain receptors to the brain somehow. Anyhow, even without the EMLA cream, it was totally do-able. But if you can apply the cream in advance, it does make a difference. (I got the cream at the No Frills on Broadway for a very reasonable price. Worth every cent). It's not cheap here but there's NO WAY I'd scrimp pennies on tattoos or piercings or laser tattoo removals! No WAY! Craig and the rest of the staff here are super friendly. The kind of folks you'd want to be friends with (and, coming from me, a straightlaced, suburban-mom-type, yes, I'm saying I'd love to be friends with these 20-something guys and gals with huge gauge earring holes and multiple piercings and tattoos. These guys are incredibly warm and nice and, anyhow, everything else is just superficial stuff). And more importantly, they adhere strictly to the highest of standards and professionalism. The store has a small selection of cute gift items for sale, too: cell phone cases, water bottles, beach towels and t-shirts, etc. FYI: there's also an Adrenaline in Toronto and Montreal.

My ear-piercing experience with Adrenaline seemed fine, meaning staff were friendly and helpful,…read moreand didn't treat me like I was in the wrong place simply because I'm a senior citizen. My granddaughter also felt her experience there was fine. We both had earlobe piercings but at different times. Well, all WAS fine until we tried to remove the studs. We were both told to leave them in for 6 or 8 weeks (can't recall) but I waited another couple of weeks just to be safe. One stud came out fine but the other one seemed to be caught somehow. It was really painful and my ear bled when I tried to remove the stud. I left it in but felt alarmed that even though I'd left it for two extra weeks it was still raw and bloody. Every time I tried to remove it the pain was intense and there was still blood. Weirdly enough, my granddaughter had a very similar experience with hers. One came out fine, but one "caught", hurt, and bled. We left them in longer and kept hoping they would heal and be fine. I finally got mine out without it bleeding, but it was very difficult to put in an earring. It just felt blocked or not completely pierced. It was painful and uncomfortable. Same experience for my gdaughter. She also couldn't put in earrings without feeling blocked and hurting in one earlobe. I gave up trying to use that piercing because it hurt too much and still bled a little. I went back to Adrenaline and told the female at the front counter about our unsatisfactory and painful experience. There was no sympathy or apology or any apparent interest. She just told me we could have them redone for $75 each, which was 50% MORE than we'd paid in the first place! I would think a reputable, established shop (which I thought Adrenaline was) would offer a redo, at least on the affected ears, but she barely looked at me, just offered to book us in, again, for more money than we'd already paid! No doubt they would just try to blame us, say we did something wrong, took the studs out too soon... or I don't know what. They certainly showed no interest in finding out what had gone wrong or how it happened that two clients had the same painful experience and were unable to wear their pierced earrings after paying to have their ears pierced! I don't get it. Maybe they just don't care about the service they provide and their customers. Too bad. Adrenaline is very conveniently located for us but now we are looking for ANOTHER piercing place to get our earlobes pierced yet again, spending more money, when we should be happy with our Adrenaline piercings and experience. I cannot recommend Adrenaline, based on our unhappy outcomes.

As soon as we entered, we went directly to the ear-piercing section to choose earrings. The employee assigned to do the piercing stood there without even acknowledging us or offering any assistance. When I informed her that I had an appointment, she told me I was exactly "6 minutes and 24 seconds late" and therefore she would not perform the piercing. I was shocked by how rigid and dismissive this was. There was absolutely no attempt to accommodate us, show understanding, or provide any customer service whatsoever. Refusing service over a delay of just a few minutes, especially after a customer has made the effort to come in for a booked appointment, is unreasonable and incredibly frustrating. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic courtesy left a very negative impression. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This piercer had a lot of red flags and in hindsight I should've not even gotten it done there as soon as I saw the equipment, and even before I got there because Staci was just brushing me and my concerns/questions off before the actual session. The first red flag was she had her apprentice pierce me and she wasn't even there to supervise. 2nd red flag was them using bioflex (which is made out of plastic and should never be used for initial piercings and titanium is the only appropriate piercing to be used, they were touting it like it was the best thing to use though) I should've walked out as soon as I saw that because never in my life have I been pierced with bioflex, it's always titanium flatbacks. They used 18g needles and said my piercing will heal as 20g too which is not a good gauge for cartilage piercings, they told me to just stretch it which is counterintuitive, CARTILAGE IS MORE RIGID AND WILL CAUSE ME A LOT MORE PAIN TO STRETCH!!!. I went to an APP store and they said while the piercing was straight, it's just the jewelry was highly inappropriate bc it's a corkscrew for nose piercings. Anyways I came back and Staci just exploded at me saying it was an insult I got a second opinion and just very passive aggressively telling me to sit down and she'll put metal in my ear if I wanted that so bad. It made me highly uncomfortable and I didn't even mean to insult her, besides she can't even be mad because it was her apprentice and NOT HER who pierced me. I spent 50 bucks to be berated and I will not be going back again. I felt very blindsided especially since she's been saying she uses surgical steel, even that's better than bioflex. I feel SCAMMED. Avoid this piercer. She was very defensive and mean, I have the RIGHT to get a second opinion because it's my body, no reason for her to be so unprofessional and raise her voice at a customer like that. I asked her to educate me on bioflex and she got even madder and defensive. Traumatic experience.
