I got the seafood fajitas and they were outstanding!! The atmosphere is warming and inviting. I like the Mexican ranch that comes with the chips. I do wish the chips were heated rather than being served cold. My buddy also ordered some cheese sticks and they tasted like they came out of a box. Main course was good but quality and taste of cheese sticks and cold chips have compelled me to give them four stars instead of five. I will be back next time I'm in Charleston and hopefully the chips will be warm and I'll probably explore the menu further rather than ordering cheese sticks like my buddy. Thanks.

My family loves Roca's. My husband says their fish tacos are very good and one of his favorites for fish tacos. We have been many times and always love their food and the service.

    Receipt

2-3x over priced. These orders of tacos cost 5-6$ each! Food quality was good, but no better than other restaurants who charge 1-2$ for the same quality taco.. Each taco meal came with 3 tacos, no sides. Costing 16$ and 17$ respectively.

Dripping this on the chips and my Mexican rice was my favorite part of the meal, Guacamole - the fresh diced tomatoes and red onion added crunch and flavor which I really enjoyed. Salsa - I'm a little torn on this. The salsa was fresh and flavorful but there is a different flavor here that I can't put my finger on that tasted different from other Charleston area Mexican restaurants of tried when in town. I also ordered the combination taco plate with Birria taco and chicken tinga. I wasn't expecting sour cream in the chicken tinga taco so I couldn't finish that. I tried to eat around to get the chicken but the sauce was not very good. This didn't taste like chicken tonga and I wouldn't order it again. The Birria taco also did not taste like Birria that I've had. This was more like beef roast on a taco with toppings. It wasn't bad and it wasn't good but it also didn't come with consume which was disappointing. The sides were rice and beans and while they were ok, I was expecting more flavor and authentic Mexican cheese instead of the plain shredded cheese on top. This was very, very Americanized Mexican food but I think they know their audience. Whatever you do, don't order a Margherita from here. I should've learned my lesson about Charleston area Mexican restaurants the last time I was in town but unfortunately I thought it was just the other restaurant down the block. I'm convinced they use grain alcohol or some other very cheap liquor in these in some of the Mexican restaurants in the area. The flavor was way off and was definitely not tequila. I only had this drink on a full stomach and it gave me a headache and nausea the next day.

Voted best restaurant in Ravenswood...... by our family. And by the look of most of the other…read morereviews in Yelp, it's a favorite of other families too! It was a hot steamy 4th of July day when we made the trek to Las Fajitas. I mean, for this west coaster, the heat was brutal. I mentioned to my daughter that I can deal with dry heat, but throw in the humidity and stick a fork in me, I'm done. Heat is heat dad, she said. Deal with it. Then deal me out! But of course, I dealt with it, and thanks to the great folks at Las Fajitas, I wasn't dealt a bad hand. Ahhh a cool breeze hit us as we opened the door. That's worth five stars right there! From that point it only got better. Nothing on the menu chipped away from the LF's celestial lofty perch. Chips and salsa did their job and made us thirsty. Our drinks showed up promptly and mine, (beer of course) was frothy and cold. The orders of tacos, Fajitas, and salad, arrived at the table hot, and in the case of the salad, cold. All were spot on. I felt as if I were on the Mexican Riviera enjoying authentic Mexican cuisine. Now, to be honest, I've never been to the Mexican Riviera, but I have been to Mexico, and have eaten their food offerings. Some of which I was wary of, but not so at the Ravenswood Riviera. Our food was delicious and the aftereffects were limited to the normal..... I think you get the drift (pun intended). "Ole" to Ravenswoods finest! Enjoy what you're about to experience. Quick Tip: Las Fajitas is two stories. One connected to the other by a spiral staircase. Throughout our meal I was watching the servers struggling up and down. If you're not there to booze it up, give em a break and sit downstairs. I'm sure they'll appreciate your choice. I wonder if they ever thought of installing a dumbwaiter.

Amazing place! Very nice inside, great food, great prices, great margarita, and great service!read more

The main dining room was dirty. There were a few tables that weren't bussed and there was trash on the floor. During our time there, none of the tables would be completely bussed, nor the floor completely swept. Servers would come through and take a plate or two or a glass off of one of the unbussed tables, but they would never finish. Another server would sweep part of the dining room occasionally, but never where there was crumbs or trash. We ordered a sangria and a house margarita and iced teas. The iced teas tasted old and stale. The sangria was ok. The margarita had an off taste. The waitress later told me that they make their own sour mix. It tasted like they mixed the pith from the lime in the sour mix as the background note was bitter. As far as the food goes, it was bland. We got guacamole and chips as an appetizer. The guacamole was just mashed avocado with no salt or lime juice detected. There were no onions, tomatoes, jalapenos or cilantro in it. It was a bland and sad excuse for guacamole. At least it was green and fresh. I ordered the Baja tacos and my husband ordered the steak burrito. Again, everything tasted bland. While there, another patron came in and waited a long time without anyone coming to seat him. He even said, "Does anyone work here?" My husband replied, "Theoretically." The person left. Our server was not extremely attentive, but she was ok. If you are tempted to go here, save yourself money and go to Taco Bell. It may not be Mexican, but at least it will have flavor.
