I had dinner reservations at a fancy place in Miami, but they were at 6:00 on a Friday and I really didn't feel like getting in Miami traffic for it. I'm staying three blocks from Rocco's and there's plenty of restaurants to be had. They all look the same/have the same vibe. Lots of Italian places. I kept my expectations low (because honestly you're not going to have the best pizza in your life at a touristy town anywhere) and was pleasantly surprised. Pros: - Pizza was pretty good. I wouldn't say great or excellent...but it was good. The most solid 4 out 5 pizza I can imagine. - Service was quick - Prices! A large pepperoni, calamari, and bucket of Land Shark was $70. God know how much I'd spent at that place in downtown Miami - Views: Lots of good people watching (mostly old people) and you can see/smell the ocean. Cons: - Calamari wasn't fresh. It had that frozen/gummy taste....but it was still acceptable. - This place can get ridiculously crowded so avoid hot times for lunch and dinner. So...yeah. There's not a lot to say with this one. I was craving pizza real bad, and I could honestly smell Rocco's from down the boardwalk. I was following the smell when I came across Roccos. I couldn't have been more excited to eat here. I was seated quickly and the staff was very nice. The food probably came out within 10 min. It was pretty speedy service. Located near the clamshell bandstand on Hollywood beach. My daughter and I grabbed a bite to eat. The calzone was absolutely delicious. My daughter opted for the stromboli and she said it was also superb! They were both large portions and we were able to save half for later. The sauce was flavorful and really tasted authentic! For a beach place, it does do well! Especially Sundays during live bands 7pm at Margaritaville Stage. Service might need your name on a wait list sometimes but well worth it. Sitting there taking the outdoors all in, enjoying the live bands. Great ambience. The food? Ok. I had a Mahi Mahi Francese which is innovative but tastey along with that linguini! It was filling while enjoying the band. My niece ordered wings and also a shrimp thing. I tasted the wings and they were surprisingly good considering it's at the beach. I would order those again. The portions were so good that she and I couldn't finish her two orders. But I did finish my Mahi mahi francese. All to great country music. Drinks? They had a decent selection. My family is Staying at Margaritaville so decided to pop by and order pizza for takeout. They have a little window on the side. Told the guy who took the order that I'll be back cause we're walking the boardwalk to see if we find anything else to eat just to pick up a variety of food. He said sure 15 mins I met up with my husband down the boardwalk and he said he's craving for a burger so we said let's just go back to Rocco's and sit and eat. We go back and I said to the host, hi can we sit at a table, I know I ordered to go for pizza but we want to order some wings, hamburger, appetizer and etc. She said I'm not sure about that, I said I'm dining in and paying for more food and for the service of course. There was no wait, it was empty and plentyyyyyyy of tables. She comes back from asking her manager and he was so rude and he said absolutely not. 11-23-23 Thanksgiving Noon Surprised for the two decades I have been at the beach haven't reviewed sooner. Well today is Thanksgiving and they are open. I go to their window out front and order a slice with anchovies. Well every bit worth the price as I didn't just get a slice with anchovy. But it was fresh,hot and delicious and every inch had an anchovy. Sorry no photo but probably the best slice I have had in a while. The service through the window was quick and ambiance was great as this place is centrally located to the bandshell. As well as a great view of the beach. Guests from the Margaritaville resort were walking over for a quick lunch while still enjoying the outdoors and the sun. read more

Went here for breakfast today. There's many tables outside with umbrellas. It's nice dining outside, right near the beach. Our server was friendly and took our order right away. She gave us our coffee quickly, but we had to wait 45 minutes for our breakfast entrees to arrive; apparently a table sent back their breakfast and the cook had to redo it. Then, even though our food was in front of us, we had to wait 10 minutes just to get cutlery and condiments as our waitress was too busy with other things. Our breakfast dishes were hot and pretty tasty, though a little greasy. The egg and cheese tacos were outstanding. The French toast a bit too heavy and overcooked, as was the hash browns and scrambled eggs. Prices are very reasonable here. read more

As I was eating the pizza it was ok. But I dramatically realized that our pizza had HAIR AND TOE NAILS‼‼‼That's a big no bueno‍ NEVER GET THAT CHEESE PIZZA. Overall the service was horrible/unacceptable completely outrageous. The server "accidentally" spilled water all over portions of our food and table. Even though they cleaned it up it's still not good especially how my food is soggy now. Let's not get to the fact that when my server, served my mom more water the servers fingers were in my MAMAS CUP it almost made me throw up all the food that I js ate. My friends and I decided to take advantage of this long weekend and have a beach day. One of my friends suggested that we try Rocco's pizza to eat while we are on the beach, that her and her husband love their pizza. Rocco's pizza is located right on Hollywood Beach right across from the amphitheater outside. They have indoor and outdoor seating plus a window that you go to for takeout. When we walked up to the takeout window, the server was super friendly and helped us navigate through the menu. We ordered their large pepperoni pizza, Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and lemon pepper chicken wings. When you place your order, it takes around 15 to 20 minutes so I suggest staying close by or setting a timer on your phone to go back and check on your order. When I tell you, this is some of the best chicken wings I've had thus far. The wings were super crunchy and juicy on the inside. The pizza was nice and soft with a wonderful cheese pull when you separate each slice. Also, the Philly cheesesteak was very tender and loaded with flavor. Rocco's pizza has now become our new Hollywood Beach hang out spot, and we can't wait to come back to try more of their menu. read more

This place sucks. Look closely at your bill. They automatically charge a tip but no one tells you when they bring the bill and on the receipt instead of saying additional tip it just says tip, so most people have no idea that it was already included. The first receipt they gave me said $21.03 but when they brought the receipt to sign it said $21.69. When I brought it to her attention, she threw a dollar bill at me and said here is your dollar back. Also they charge 3% for using a credit card. I consider Rocco's pizza a staple on the Hollywood beach boardwalk! I've been going to Roccos for over 20 years now with my family on regular beach days. I can't go to Hollywood beach without stopping by Rocco's!! The pizza is next level and I always order a side of the garlic rolls and the calamari as an appetizer. I literally dream of the calamari, the breading is SO GOOD!! You can choose to dine in (indoor and outdoor seating) or order curbside from their walk through window! We were staying at Margaritaville. Decided to walk the boardwalk and came across this spot. I am from New York so it's hard to please us with a good pizza. This place offers a variety of Italian dishes. We chose to order a large cheese pie with half pepperoni. Pizza was good. It was nice and cheesy and the pepperoni had good flavor. The garlic knots were delicious. Calamari was ok the side of marinara sauce lacked flavor. Overall the food was ok. It's a little spot right next to the Margaritaville hotel. Update 4/12/22 Service is good, they have live music which is good as well. However the pizza itself has declined in quality and taste. I used to find Rocco's to have pizza the most like NYC. However that has changed. The crust has become much thicker. It is no longer charred on the edges. It is not crispy anymore. The crust was very floppy to the point where all the cheese and toppings fell off each slice. The sauce is also much sweeter than it used to be. The atmosphere is great but I would not come back here for the pizza anymore. read more

I was only there for the chicken wings but I love their location when it's a special event. I was in the area for Cinco de Mayo and then has tables that give you a perfect burnt-eye view with a concert. Is this session for ask for the chicken wings? I got 10. They won't let you get two choices for a sauce so I can only go with barbecue. It was made fresh to order. I wasn't able to try anything else. Service was a little bit slow but again I waited outside in the area for dining only and I was so that I shouldn't be in that area because it was for dining. The caprese salad is the perfect starter especially if you have been out in the sun. So cold and juicy and refreshing! I must admit that I came here expecting the worst. It's next to the Margaritaville Resort so they get business from stupid tourists like me who don't want to walk very far. How good could the pizza be? Surprise surprise they make a pretty damn good 18" Margherita pizza. The crust was crisp, tomato sauce was like the old-fashioned tomato pie you can still get in Philadelphia, and cheese was fresh. I was totally shocked. I ordered a chicken Parmesan Stromboli at the request of the waitress and a slice of pizza. The Stromboli was super dry, the chicken broke apart it was it was so dry and hard. I couldn't even cut some of the chicken pieces up so I left most of the food there. I was super disappointed but I don't feel comfortable sending food back so I ate what I could even though it was $19! Like most restaurants at the boardwalk, they have menu outside for you to check out your options. This place is known for mainly NY style pizza and pastas. We decided to give this place a try since it's also close to the Hollywood Theater where on a Friday night, they had live band playing. We sat outside. Not sure they have inside seating. Since their portion sizes were big, we decided to get a few things and share. Also, had read reviews to do the pizza by the slice and that worked out great instead of getting a whole pie. Here is what we got: 1. Veggie pizza by the slice - so delicious. Plenty of veggies like spinach, tomatoes, green pepper, onion and mushrooms on top. Definitely recommend. 2. Ricotta and spinach pizza by the slice - also very good with plenty of ricotta and spinach. 3. Spaghetti and meatballs -two large all beef meatballs come with spaghetti in marinara sauce. Very tasty and definitely recommend. The meatballs were moist and flavorful. 4. Penne alla vodka - yummy creamy vodka sauce. Also highly recommend this dish. Please note, all their pasta dishes are good sized and can easily be shared with 2 people. Also, all their pastas come with two slices of homemade focaccia bread. 5. Garlic knots - this was amazing!! Soft pillowy rolls dipped in garlic butter. Yummo! You get half a dozen in a order so definitely recommend getting it to share for the table. If you are on Hollywood Boardwalk and are looking for a place to eat, you really can't go wrong with Rocco's. There is something for everyone to enjoy on their menu. read more

Ordered take out which was ready on time. Sausage and pepperoni along which cheese slices were tasty and the fried mozzarella were breaded just right. Crisp to the bite and oozing cheese on the inside. Parking in the garage was free cuz pick up only took a few minutes, otherwise no where to really park and my hotel was a bit far to walk to without getting back with cold food. Prices are on the high wish side which is on par with everything on the boardwalk. Overall good experience and going back today to try a pasta entrée. read more
