My friend and I were in town for F1 and were staying in the area and wanted some good pizza. We saw that Piola had good reviews and was nearby. Don't be fooled by the location being in a shopping plaza, everything here is superb. First, we walked in and got a very warm greeting. Everyone working there seemed to have a smile on their face. The restaurant is intimate, has great mood lighting, wonderful contemporary jazz/mellow music, and a fun slideshow of various spots in Italy. We ordered the meatball appetizer, a Caesar salad, and 2 pizzas. Everything was delicious! The sauce and homemade focaccia with the meatballs was so good. The lettuce was super fresh and crunchy in the salad. The pizza is amazing! If you like thinner crust, wood fired pizza that has the perfect ratio of cheese sauce and toppings such that you can actually hold the slice once it cools, Piola is the place for you! Came in for food after a run in the cold. Got the carne and co which was an Italian sausage, salami moz and sauce pizza with hot honey. I replaced the moz with vegan cheese. For the lactose intolerant folks that have to opt for vegan cheese, its typical of most places. Doesn't beat real cheese but any pizza with good toppings won't be ruined by it. I liked it but definitely would be better with moz. The lentil soup was ok. I think I would have liked it more with hot sauce, it just seemed to be missing something. The tiramisu was delicious. I gobbled that bad boy up. The Nutella strawberry pizza Desert, I tried. Small bite and it tasted good too. Overall the food was good and id recommend it. Service was good was good as well. Waitress made sure to double check our orders (we were a bit indecisive in the beginning and towards the end i ordered Desert for here and to go), and to make sure we were aware of any additional charges for changes we were making. Place itself is pretty small but cozy. You can do check out or seat yourself (likely cause it wasn't packed when we came). Overall good pizza place and really hit the spot after a run. read more

Our waiter worked really hard to keep up with the full room of customers! I think he was the only one. The best part of meal was the meatballs served in a yummy sauce with burrata. They have a good special on pizza where price decreases when you order a drink. We didn't enjoy the one we ordered but the full restaurant must be a testimony that people love it. read more

Food was good and so was service with an authentic feel. Menu has unique selections which was nice. Pizzas are made in pizza fire oven which you can see. Caesar salad very tasty. On 2nd visit I had brisket filled ravioli with a cream mushroom sauce which was delicious. Also had tiramisu and Gilatto for dessert at first visit. Very tasty. My friend and I just discovered this little hidden gem in Hollywood. Upon entering the establishment, we were warmly greeted and sat. The atmosphere is cozy and provides plenty of comfortable seating. One cannot miss the gorgeous pizza oven, the centerpiece of the kitchen. We started with an order of sumptuous Garlic Knots baked to doughy perfection with a side of fresh Marinara dipping sauce. Delicious! We chose the Diavola pizza with pepperoni. I think a Slice of Heaven best describes the extraordinary light crust - thin & flavorful. It is the perfect foundation for the savory variety of toppings offered on the menu. We also enjoyed the Carne & Co pizza. A masterpiece of harmonious combination of toppings while not overloaded. What a delight! Everything is so fresh! Normally we love this place but last night the pizza we had delivered was so underdone we had to roll it up to eat it.

Piola is tucked in the corner of the shopping plaza. Stopped in for a light bite after finding Piola on Yelp and walked in to what felt like a mom and pop restaurant, but came to find it's a franchise. We were immediately greeted and were told to choose our own table. Menu is quite large, with pastas, appetizers, Napoli pizza and desserts and beverages. We ordered the Meat Lover's Pizza and it came out within approximately 7 minutes from the time we ordered. It felt like 3 minutes. The meats were ham, sausage, salami and bacon. Gave this place a second try because of the reviews, proximity to home, and how much we used to love the Hallandale location. Honestly, not impressed. The pizza crust was kinda mushy and a little tasteless. The bruschetta was so small (it came in a little plastic container for the to go order..so small it looked like a side sauce) that it was laughable. We really wanted to love it. But nope. I had been by this place so many times because the wife loves to shop at Kohl's. More on that later. Since the Kohl's had only One cashier and ten people in the line, Mrs. Said we could leave!!! Popped around the corner to check out Pools's after wifey found them on the Yelp. We were warmly met by Luis and sat down. My wife said he was cute but I thought the young ladies who were also serving tables were much cuter. My friend and I just visited Piola's for the first time. It's tucked away in a corner next to the Kohl's on Sheridan Street, Hollywood. It's a small place with some big atmosphere, great food, and fabulous music. The place is very clean. There are other menu choices available that are not pizza. We had a pepperoni pizza, a meat lover style pizza and garlic knots. We were not disappointed. The pizza was delicious and made with a thin crust that was one of the best pizza crusts I've ever had. It was soft and tender, light on the tummy, and full of flavor. The garlic knots were full of garlicky flavor and also a very tender and light bread. We left feeling pleasantly full even though we both had 3 slices and garlic knots. Our server, Manuela was very friendly and attentive. In fact the entire staff was friendly. Did you ever eat something so delicious that you had a smile on your face when you were done? That was my experience at Piola. I was greeted kindly and told I can sit where I'd like. I ordered takeout at the cashier who was also very helpful, and then sat at a table designated for people who were waiting for their order. I received a text message as soon as my pizza was ready. I had ordered the margarita pizza with basil. the crust was so thin, slightly crispy and was so fresh. Great sauce, great cheese The fresh basil was such a great complement. "Focaccia slices" aren't even focaccia, just regular bread. The prosciutto they use is extremely salty & burrata is tasteless. Didn't eat Beef papadelle, it's mooshie and seems like a recipe anyone can do at home. Def not authentic Italian dishes Waste of 40$ read more

We ordered to go on New Year's Day excited to have pizza at home after a boat day. We tried the meat lovers and the como pizza. Pizza was ready fast, in 5 minutes max. Staff was nice upon my arrival to pick it up and brought my to go pizza out to where I was sitting. When I got home, the como pizza was not sliced and the meat lover pizza was half sliced. The pizzas fell apart when we tried to slice ourselves. On the meat lovers, the ham was thick big pieces of ham- didn't look like the type of ham I had seen in other pictures on Yelp- it was terrible . I picked every piece off. Both pizzas honestly just tasted terrible, they were thin and floppy- only the crust had a crunch. My boyfriend and I had a slice each and threw the rest out which we never throw out pizza ever .
