Sahara is a pizza restaurant and bar located on Hollywood Beach. We only stopped by for some drinks. The red design of Sahara caught my eye. The chairs and tables are red, the staff working wore red, the interior of the bar was also red. Along the walls they had images of their food and drinks. I was intrigued by the drinks served inside of a pineapple. I got the Strawberry Daiquiri. Overpriced and gimmicky, but I was in the mood. The beers and other drinks arrived in large glasses, the refills are discounted. My Strawberry Daiquiri was very tasty, it was sweet, the rum arrived in a tube so I could disperse it at once or slowly. The portion was pretty generous inside a carved out pineapple. Their food looks to be average bar food. We enjoyed the relaxing vibe at Sahara and their refreshing drinks. read more

Seaside eating on the Hollywood Broadwalk. Gyros, chicken, and pizzas; plus lots of alcohol. They have a different drink special every day and serve cocktails in cored pineapples for the tourists. Cute and delicious. The Chicken Souvlaki is cooked chicken on a skewer and comes with good pita bread, raw onion, lettuce, tomato, and tatziki sauce. It is very tasty, especially after drinking 2 cups of rum. LOL My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, which came to $100 for 2 people! Now my Buffalo shrimp gets 1 star LOL it was like frozen popcorn shrimp they tossed in a Walmart bang bang sauce maybe with extra sweet chili. Nothing Buffalo or spicy about it all. I love bang bang shrimp but this was just ... mediocre. What gives this place 4 stars is how prompt the service was. Two people holding down the packed spot and they were nice and on top of things. A dirty used napkin from a nearby table flew off another waitresses tray when she was cleaning on my friends fries and they so kindly took the fries off our tab. No argument - just common sense service. Id go back because the ambiance by the beach was dope and their prices for drinks (bogo margaritas on Monday) was pretty reasonable. I wish i could put 0 stars this place was the worst food establishment i've ever visited. There was a waiting list and we were moved multiple times. The waiter walked away from us while we were talking multiple times . Once the food came out i was utterly dissapointed with the flavors i was presented with. The mozzarella sticks had a terrible after taste yet they were the best thing I ate tonight. I ordered the cheeseburger and the patty tasted terrible there was so much onions on my burger which made the flavor even worse. My friends ordered a pizza which had no sauce and tasted like cardboard and cheese. The price was ridiculously high and included a $5 service fee . The seTint and the overall ambiance was awful wouldn't recommend to ANYONE. One star. read more

This spot was ideal for checking out Hollywood beach and killing two hours before our flight back home. Street parking was not hard to find on the weeknight but can imagine could be a challenge on weekends. It's right on the beach with seating by the boardwalk. The host and wait staff are prompt and seated us right away on a Tuesday evening. The place is abuzz with families as thei selection includes salads, pizzas and sandwiches including gyros. We ordered the gyro wrap with salad sub and a cheese personal pizza with gyro meat as topping. The salad was fresh, crunchy and had enough feta. The gyro meat was seasoned right and cooked better for thr wrap. In the pizza it just did not taste good and the pizza base was also very dense and not chewy like u expect. Prefer the wrap have more veggies for layering and was served with just meat. Tuesday is 2 for 1 rum punch, each is otherwise 15$. So that was a good bargain outside of happy hour. read more

This place actually was surprisingly kind of good. We had walked by here so many times and finally decided to try it. We chose the deal with the large pizza, thirty wings, fries and a pitcher of soda. The wings were above average and meaty and they also gave us a decent amount of drumsticks. The fries came out really fast which was nice because our kids were hungry. You can choose either a pitcher of soda or beer. We chose soda and the server brought us a pitcher of water for the kids too. The pizza was the only disappointing aspect. I didn't think it tasted great; however, my kids and wife almost finished it(we left one slice) so they must have liked it. I will definitely eat here again. The server was nice and read our table well. We didn't need her to check on us every five minutes and she didn't. They also have a wing special which is similar to what we chose expect without the pizza. Maybe we'll try that next time. Service is quick and drinks are fun. I normally pick a spot on the beach in front of this place so I can make drink runs while chilling in the sand. They have pineapple cups which make fun beach photos. Their drinks are your typical sugar slushies with a shooter vial in them, but hey if the formula works don't change it. The seating here is pretty limited so if you're trying to settle down for a pizza here be prepared to wait. read more

In Florida visiting our daughter for the Thanksgiving holiday and sadly we knew we weren't going to have our traditional Texas Thanksgiving meal. While walking down Hollywood Beach's boardwalk we hear someone with a unique accent asking if we want to have a seat. At first all we see is pizza but decide to give it a shot anyways. I had the Mediterranean chicken pita w/side salad and my daughter had a bacon, mushroom cheeseburger. The food was delicious and the pricing was decent. If we had to skip our traditional meal this was definitely worth it. I'm glad I listened to the man yelling for people to eat at their place. They have a good selection of entrees. read more

I ordered the chicken fingers as an appetizer and the blackened mahi sandwich. The chicken fingers were over cooked, the fries were not fresh, the mahi sandwich was tasteless. I won't go back again. The pizza was just okay... it was super super greasy, the edges/crust were crispy, but the middle of the pizza was soggy and doughy. I went here recently while I was visiting the beach and the restaurant is right across from the ocean! The view is beautiful when the sun is out and the open seating facing the beach is great. On top of that, the service is quick and attentive even when all tables are full. We got a table, had our order taken and our food served to us in nearly 20 minutes! We came across Sahara International and what really sold us was their Sahara Special, which came with 1 large pizza, 30 wings, and a pitcher of beer (or soda).
