Parking was tight on the north side of the building a few sketchy humans walking around on Federal Hwy but I was yearning for that perfect slice of pizza. Plenty of outdoor patio seating and in addition to several indoor tables. Ordered inside and after five minutes I watched through the open window that hot slice sliding out of the oven and into my awaiting hands. That slice easily passed the "flop test" - proudly it stood firmly in my grasp. The crust and bottom had a beautiful char with a heavenly crunch on that first anticipated bite. Not overly cheesy and loved the thin layer of tangy sauce. Hats off to the pizza maker on this masterpiece. I will return for a full pepperoni pizza. read more

I was with a buddy who just came to town and I was in no hurry. For reasons that escape me, the young man was really upset with me and began berating us with aggressive questions. I usually go to this spot since I heard about it a few months ago. There is usually a blond middle aged lady taking care of the counter. While I know it can get busy for some reason today, it took at least 4 calls to get a live person the recording said the mailbox was full. I finally got a young man on the phone at 6:20 pm he took my order for a two slice special with a can of soda. He said it would be ready in ten minutes. I drive up, I live a minute away, there are no customers in the restaurant except two. I paid, I sat, I waited and waited, and waited, only to finally ask at 6:50 where my order was and he directed me to ask the window where the pizzas come out and the order had been sitting there for I don't know how long. The pizza which is usually good and hot was cold, and the young man seemed oblivious as to what was going on. I got home and called to let him know my pizza was cold and unappetizing and again I called an additional 7 times just to be met with the same recording. Very expensive pizza, toppings are $2! I ordered a gluten-free pizza ( 10 inches) for 18 dollars!!!! I had no problem paying the 18 because the pizza is very good but have to have no gluten now. I returned to this pizzeria and ordered a regular pizza. It looks delicious but I find the Sicilian pie far superior to this one. It is a very large pizza but the base is too floppy. need to fold it or use a knife and fork. I wonder what would've happened with a topping with extra weight on it. While looking for a pizza joint to pick up a pie my son and I ran across Joe's on Yelp with solid reviews close to us. There were dozens of businesses to choose from, but this had a good location from our hotel and the photos looked appealing. Calling in the order proved a bit challenging with a phone that rang and rang and rang on a Friday night around 6 p clock. After a brief hold and a question on sizing the order was placed for a pepperoni and cheese. They have one size and it's extra large NY style pizza. The building is an attractive converted old style gas station with garage. I loved the look and the bold red colors. Parking appears to be adequate and the lot clear of debris. There is seating inside, or a patio. Pizza can be ordered by the slice and it's reasonable. Staff was quick to crank out the pie, say 20 minutes. After payment a friendly "enjoy" sent us on are way. The pizza was hot approximately 10 minutes after arriving back at the hotel. Visually it looked good and proved to be even better tasting. I liked the large over size slices and the sauce was delicious. The crust was crispy and seemed fresh. The meat was plentiful and yum! Everyone in my party agreed this was an awesome call to hit up Joe's on a Friday night. We were disappointed we did not get the garlic knots, maybe next time. Such a disappointment!! We ordered delivery and were told it would take about an hour. At about the 1.5 hour point we started to question where the food was. Before I write my reasoning for this review, I want to state that I have never in my life left a review for a restaurant or any other business in my LIFE. This place does not deserve to be listed on google at all and should be shut down indefinitely for not only serving HORRIBLE food, but also blatantly lying on their advertisements (website) about "best wings" and "great food"... I ordered 3 pies, 2 plain and 1 half pepperoni half veggie along with 18 wings. The food was cold, the crust was hard, the wings sauce was not "hot" and the taste was unbearable. I and even the kids in my family chose captain crunch as an alternative. I ordered through Uber eats so one may argue the delivery guy took long, however he didn't. I really just don't understand how a "restaurant" such as Joe's Old School Pizza, a place that serves such low of quality food can pick up the phone and fulfill and order with an honest heart. The only reason I did give this place some stars for service and atmosphere is due to the person picking up my call which I explained my special request for wasn't rude and I didn't go pick it up in person so I did not see the atmosphere for myself. I also am not going to dispute this charge on my debit card because if they're running such a hoax of a pizza restaurant the owners must really need the business. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... take this review as a warning and if you do order, GO IN PERSON. I will be calling the restaurant after I post this review and telling them how much of a disappointment the food they provided was. Just bought this past Sunday. We usually buy here and there. We got the the family special that comes with the wings. This time though the wings were either remade or reheated again. They were like jerky. I've never experienced anything like it. I asked for them in medium Buffalo sauce. There's was absolutely no sign of any sauce on them. The meat was falling off since it was so dry like dry pieces of sticks. Something wasn't right. The garlic rolls were super dry. No topping on 4 out of 6 of the rolls. The pizza was fine (nothing to stand out about) but cut like someone who has never made pizza cut it. The salad was good. Too many good pizza places around to waste your money on that nonsense. I was skeptical of this place. Passed by the front a lot of times and always wondered. I ordered a large pizza with meatball, mushrooms, and green peppers because I saw someone's picture of it and it looked great. And omg.... it was amazing!! Probably the best combo of toppings I have had. I love that the green peppers are cooked, like sautéed, and not just raw like in other places. I also liked that the meatballs were like grind and not sliced up like normally cause it gave it even flavor all across the pizza. Also a little spicy which was super enjoyable. Called back a girl picked up, should be there soon(after 2 hours) 5 mins later she gets on the phone. The deliver driver took someone to the hospital.
