I usually go to this spot since I heard about it a few months ago. There is usually a blond middle aged lady taking care of the counter. While I know it can get busy for some reason today, it took at least 4 calls to get a live person the recording said the mailbox was full. I finally got a young man on the phone at 6:20 pm he took my order for a two slice special with a can of soda. He said it would be ready in ten minutes. I drive up, I live a minute away, there are no customers in the restaurant except two. I paid, I sat, I waited and waited, and waited, only to finally ask at 6:50 where my order was and he directed me to ask the window where the pizzas come out and the order had been sitting there for I don't know how long. The pizza which is usually good and hot was cold, and the young man seemed oblivious as to what was going on. I got home and called to let him know my pizza was cold and unappetizing and again I called an additional 7 times just to be met with the same recording. Whoever is answering the phone and taking order should be aware that this kind of attention can either enhance or diminish said business' popularity. Imagine everyone calling gets the same response and service?
Whenever we're in the area, we have to eat at Joe's. It's our favorite spot in Florida for NY Style pizza. We love the thin, crispy crust. When ordering by the slice, your pizza is ready in minutes. $3.99 for a slice of cheese pizza, $6.99 for 2 slices, and a soda. What a deal! There's covered outdoor seating. Parking can be a little tight, but there's street parking nearby.
Just a simple & no frills little pizza joint. I bicycle by all the time & stop in every week or two. You can't go wrong with 2 slices of pizza & a soda for the $7.99 all day deal. Staff has always been friendly to me.
Quick service, hot and delicious pizza! Great outdoor areas to sit and enjoy your meal. We ordered the All Day Special ( 2 slices of pizza with a drink), and if you want additional toppings it's going to cost .75 cents per topping, per slice. That's it! I enjoyed the thin crust and the greasy flavor-which went well with my Coca Cola! My new go to place
I kept hearing about this place, and passing by, I decided to stop in. It's not really a dine-in environment, although the do have a few tables, the place is completely open to the outside on two sides. I just wanted a slice to go anyway. The staff was pleasant and friendly. They have huge slices (I had them cut mine in half. Picture is one slice). For 6.99, you can get two huge slices and a drink. The best part was the pizza. It had a great flavor, NY style thin crust with crispy edges. Definitely try it if you're in the area!
I had my order delivered, and this was my story. They got my pizza order wrong. They did credit me for a future order. That was very professional of them, and they let me keep the pizzas. This was difficult to review for me. It was difficult because it was based on my personal taste. Everyone taste is different. The garlic rolls I liked. They were a good size and garlicky, just the way I like. The garlic butter sause was good. I would order this again. The cheese pizza was not for me. The sauce was too sweet for taste. It overpowered everything. I couldn't taste the cheese, just the sweet sauce. My son liked it. The crust was okay. The mushroom and onions pizza was not for me. It had a good amount of mushrooms; they tasted good. The sweet sauce flavor was a little bit less thanks to the mushrooms. I personally did not like the sweet sauce. It was too sweet, and neither did my stomach.

The sauce was correct and the size was enormous. I will definitely come back and ask for a well done pie. It is situated on US one, so there's always something going on while I was there. There was a police capturing some type of a homeless guy which was very entertaining.
Very expensive pizza, toppings are $2! I ordered a gluten-free pizza ( 10 inches) for 18 dollars!!!! I had no problem paying the 18 because the pizza is very good but have to have no gluten now. That pizza was GROSS it was not cooked long enough and the seasoning in the sauce was lacking. They should experiment before serving something new. Joe's would not refund the money but gave an I.O.U. that is lame.
I returned to this pizzeria and ordered a regular pizza. It looks delicious but I find the Sicilian pie far superior to this one. It is a very large pizza but the base is too floppy. need to fold it or use a knife and fork. I wonder what would've happened with a topping with extra weight on it. I feel there was not enough sauce on it as well. So I recommend the Sicilian pie if you go here.

We are from NJ so we are generally a little snobby with our pizza. I did not expect to love this place as much as I did! Pizza was great! Thin crust, just enough sauce and cheese. All there garlic powder, crushed red peppers and grated cheese for you to use, like a real pizza place should! Took away a star because of the zeppolis. They were good, not the greatest and not truly a real Zeppole. Zeppole are usually large, fluffy and have a nice soft bite. These were small and basically pizza dough with powdered sugar. Still will devour a bag of these if I have the munchies though! They weren't terrible, just not what I expected!

Calling in the order proved a bit challenging with a phone that rang and rang and rang on a Friday night around 6 p clock. After a brief hold and a question on sizing the order was placed for a pepperoni and cheese. They have one size and it's extra large NY style pizza. The building is an attractive converted old style gas station with garage. I loved the look and the bold red colors. Parking appears to be adequate and the lot clear of debris. There is seating inside, or a patio. Pizza can be ordered by the slice and it's reasonable. Staff was quick to crank out the pie, say 20 minutes. After payment a friendly "enjoy" sent us on are way. The pizza was hot approximately 10 minutes after arriving back at the hotel. Visually it looked good and proved to be even better tasting. I liked the large over size slices and the sauce was delicious. The crust was crispy and seemed fresh. The meat was plentiful and yum! Everyone in my party agreed this was an awesome call to hit up Joe's on a Friday night. We were disappointed we did not get the garlic knots, maybe next time. I understand they have a few locations around South Florida, so check them out and be prepared for a yummy New York style experience.
Parking was tight on the north side of the building a few sketchy humans walking around on Federal Hwy but I was yearning for that perfect slice of pizza. Plenty of outdoor patio seating and in addition to several indoor tables. Ordered inside and after five minutes I watched through the open window that hot slice sliding out of the oven and into my awaiting hands. That slice easily passed the "flop test" - proudly it stood firmly in my grasp. The crust and bottom had a beautiful char with a heavenly crunch on that first anticipated bite. Not overly cheesy and loved the thin layer of tangy sauce. Hats off to the pizza maker on this masterpiece. I will return for a full pepperoni pizza. read more

When I visit my mom in Miami I expect some good Cuban food to be the first thing that I eat when I arrive. Did I expect pizza?!? Nope. Am I super stoked that she brought me here SURE AM! We are from NJ so we are generally a little snobby with our pizza. I did not expect to love this place as much as I did! Pizza was great! Thin crust, just enough sauce and cheese. Such a disappointment!! We ordered delivery and were told it would take about an hour. At about the 1.5 hour point we started to question where the food was. A few minutes later I saw the delivery guy leaving. We brought in our pizzas and they were cold! Not only cold but dried out. The pizza sauce was sweet and there was hardly any cheese. The Caesar salad was good and the garlic knots were good. read more

Lets start with the good. The garlic rolls were good and the cook gave us a couple extra which I think was super nice. The pizza was just okay. They had no ice & in this miami weather its sorta needed. My main concern is the bathroom was gross and there were 2 rats passing by too close for comfort. read more

I was skeptical of this place. Passed by the front a lot of times and always wondered. I ordered a large pizza with meatball, mushrooms, and green peppers because I saw someone's picture of it and it looked great. And omg.... it was amazing!! Probably the best combo of toppings I have had. I love that the green peppers are cooked, like sautéed, and not just raw like in other places. I also liked that the meatballs were like grind and not sliced up like normally cause it gave it even flavor all across the pizza. Also a little spicy which was super enjoyable. They go all out on the toppings, the pizza was fully covered (check pic below). My new go to for pick up pizza. read more

Let's just say it may not be exactly NY Pizza but for Hollywood FL it's pretty damm GOOD PIZZA definitely will come back when I'm in the area the sausage is definitely NY style.... the Pizza is good ! Great price on the 2 slice special read more

Listen, Florida will never be know for pizza because that's a New York Thang!!! However, this joint comes Pretty close!!! Among the closest to A NYC Pizza experience in Florida! The pizza was a nice size, nice thin crust, good price, cool joint and decor. The parking is kinda odd, the pizza needed a little more sauce on it with a better sauce to cheese ratio. The staff is cool and friendly. Note: Cool spot for a quick bite to eat or for a pizza date. So, check it out...I ordered 2 slices, one with pepperoni and one with cheese....both had nice NYC elements but needed that known NYC cheese to sauce to crust ratio balance but for Floridians it's pretty good pizza. read more

Order delivery from Joe's old school pizza in Hollywood. Two hours later I call , never received my pizza. Was ob hold for 8 minutes because they forgot about me. Called back a girl picked up, should be there soon(after 2 hours) 5 mins later she gets on the phone. The deliver driver took someone to the hospital. No one EVER called me to say there is Problem you can cancel your order or wait 2 hours.NEVER I asked for the manager , the owner Joe Caristo gets on the phone. Right away yelling. I already said sorry want else do you want me to do you HEARTLESS PIECE OF SHIT. He had to take someone to the hospital. I said that not my problem, someone at your business should have called and left me know instead of me waiting hours for a pizza and not knowing what's going. He said FUCK YOU IM RICH I DON'T NEED YOUR MONEY. And now a review is called "stalking" according to the business owner. read more
