Short version: Avoid them at all costs! Especially if your car is totaled. The tow truck drivers were great, nice, and helpful! Use this company if you aren't getting towed to their impound lot. If your car is getting towed to their impound lot, run. Long version: The reason for my 1star is entirely due to the rude behavior of their impound lot. The tow truck driver was very nice, helpful and respectful. I totaled my car in Rochester and I called Rochester Towing. The next day, my insurance company tried to call their impound lot but he would hang up on them every time they called. My insurance company said he was charging an unusually high amount. His business card has a PO Box to make it harder to get your car back. He made this a hard process to keep cars in his lot longer so he makes more money. read more

I needed my son's car towed from Rochester to Eyota. I called the owner while I was busy at work and I'm sure he could tell I was very frazzled! He was so friendly to speak to and accommodating to our needs. We both agreed when to have the car towed but in the interim, it was almost towed away by the police! The owner was able to intervene, on his own free will, thus avoiding my son's car getting impounded. The owner really saved us a lot of hardship. I am so thankful for calling Rochester Towing. We were stuck along the freeway and roadside assistance called Rochester Towing to assist us with changing a flat tire. After a person wearing pink socks and crocs stepped out of the tow truck he decided he didn't have the tools needed and said he needed to leave to go to the next job and left. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Spoke to Jerry on a Monday about my vehicle that was impounded on a Friday and the going rate he wanted was 580.00... Unreal.. His customer service lacks. Doesn't give you the time to speak cuts you off and assumes he knows everything. He refused to let me come to the lot and grab my items from my vehicle. I called him at 3 pm and he stated the lot closes at 4 pm and said "I wouldn't make it there by 4 pm and by the time I got my crap out" yup... he said crap.... then he proceeds to call me back 3 times after I told him I would make sure no one ever goes to him so beware of this place.. unless you like getting treated and talk to like a POS... certainly use this place. read more

If there was a minus score, I'd be giving it to Rochester Towing. My son was in an accident and his car was towed by Rochester Towing. In the heat of things, he left his debit and credit cards in the car. Rochester towing would not let us get into the car to get his personal items. No alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident -- so the car was not seized by the police. The car is our property. He would not tell me where the car was located, could not even tell me when he would be available so we could pay the bill. "I might be in by 8:30 or 9:00. I'm not sure. You have to call me in the morning." I'm taking off of work, losing hours of pay because he's not sure when he will be in -- VERY VERY RUDE. I'd pay extra to have my car towed by an "out of town" towing company before I would ever use Rochester Towing again. read more

The company I work for used them for years and we brought them a lot of customers. Well I called Them today to come help a customer unlock her car that had her very young child in it. The person I talked to was so rude I had someone else talk to him after awhile because I could not handle it. It took them to long so we called and canceled again because it was an emergency a child was locked in a car in the freezing cold! Told were very rude again and told me who is a worker like then, who brought them customers, to never call them again I was very mad but I just ignored it and went back to helping a lady get her child out of the car. A truck ended up coming still even though we canceled it and the asked if he helped would he still get paid! I was lived! How could you even say that! We're trying to get a young child out of the freezing car and all he wanted to do was get paid! I will never recommend them again for anyone! read more

This place is garbage. I used my insurance roadside assistance to get a tow. After getting a phone call from Rochester tow was told I need to move my car from its current location. The car was not in moving condition, so the employee told me hold on. I waited then he said "look I'm to busy to stay on the phone to talk about", if you can't move it I'm not interested". So After waiting for 2hrs, find out they have a lot of phone calls so they will longer take the job. I don't understand how they are still a legit business. read more
