One of my favorite places on Earth. I've been here around 30 times since 5th grade. I've attended camp 5 times here and encourage anyone 5th through 12th grade to go. It changed my life. My start in 4-H began here. Rock Eagle is beautiful, especially in the fall. All of the cabins are currently being torn down and rebuilt a few at a time. It's a large camp with 57 cabins sleeping roughly 18 or so each. Rock Eagle Lake (shaped appropriately) is great for sailing and canoeing! Large dining hall, nice canteen, and beautiful chapel. I've posted a map in my pictures.

WOW! This place is really neat! It's a like a boys scouts campground with lots of little cabins spread out. There is a really big lake and lots of picnic tables. I went durring a 4-H BB Gun Championship and wished I could have stayed longer.

The mound itself is 8 feet deep!

I have to admit, it wasn't nearly as messy as I expected--they provided everything we needed and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. My granddaughter had a blast, and thanks to the wonderful employees, she gives this place 10 stars. And, said "We will definitely be back"!!! For me, it was the perfect stress-relief activity and such a great bonding experience. We went at noon, so it was peaceful and relaxed, which made it even better. The staff was incredibly attentive, giving clear instructions before and after our session. It was also nice to see that they offer event spaces for parties and gatherings. Highly recommend Color Sling for anyone looking for a unique, fun, and memorable experience

There are amazing group deals on their website as well as some more information about the business! Melissa, co-owner, was there the day we went in and she was so so welcoming. We were supplied ponchos and shoe coverings as well as lockers for our things and even hair nets and accessories. They thought of it all! Melissa explained everything to us and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us to our creativity. I absolutely loved the fact that we were always checked on as well as our paint and cleaning waters. Melissa would make encouraging comments I needed because I for one am not creative. LOL I absolutely cannot wait to drop by again and bring others because I definitely feel it's a very special little place. The vibe just gives and I'm so grateful to know a place like this exists.

I purchased off of Groupon, but we where not treated any different from someone who purchased on site. The prices look to have ranged from 25.00-75.00 all based off the size canva you pick. They supply the poncho and shoe covers, so no worries about your gear. The paint that's used does wash off the skin, with soap and water pretty easy. There are different sized paint brushes, water guns, squirt pumps, and plenty of color choices. It's so cool to see what your design creation changes to once you put it on the spin wheel. You will be sharing the room with others, no private rooms. There is one restroom. This is a cool date idea, family fun day, or a me day.

The entrance is the last door before subway (to the right) it sits back a little so you may miss it if you glance too quickly but it's definitely there! Their prices range from $20-$45 and you can book online or walk in until 7pm. The owner Jerrell is an artist himself and will be opening another location in Stone Crest Mall in Feb/March so definitely be on the look out for that. This event is great for solo outing/date, date night, friend groups, corporate events, birthdays, etc. it's a very intimate setting but you'll definitely have a great time!

What a great Saturday morning - yoga, friends, and goats! Lots of goats!…read more I booked a class with Goat Yoga Georgia because of friend was teaching. I have been practicing yoga much more than usual, especially during the pandemic, and when things started opening up, I was eager to practice with a community. The location was easy to find with lots of parking available in an empty field. A porta-potty was available, if needed. Yoga mats were available to rent in case you were concerned about goats nibbling on yours or yours getting dirty. Helpers were available to help each participant find a spot for the day's practice. The practice started in a usual way with warm-ups and stretches. It was nice to be outdoors. After several minutes of stretching and warming up, the sound of bells filled the air. And in came several goats! The goats wore collars with bells - I assume it was so they didn't sneak up on anyone. They were curious and spent some time sniffing the practitioners. Helpers lured them around to everyone with tasty treats. Goats were happy to jump on backs and explore yoga bags. Helpers and neighbors all offered to take photos. At this point, I was still doing some yoga. Then, the baby goats arrived. I was done. No more yoga. Just goats. They were awesome. Let me clarify - lots of practitioners were doing yoga and interacting with goats. I was just really focused on the goats. I'll do better next time. And there will be a next time. 5 stars. Super fun! Thanks for a great day!

I actually learned about coconut wax and the cotton wicks that they use. The scents were laid out in a manner that requires you to follow your nose to make decisions. Once you pick your scents you have an easy setup for mixing and pouring your candle. I liked the fact that the overall process wasn't too messy. The best part is that they offer a BYOB service! You can create your atmosphere. The karaoke stage and sound system is a great way to kill time while waiting for your wax to harden. My overall experience was a 10/10. Clean facility, Welcoming staff, Straight forward process, and I got to take my candle home after the experience.

I first learned about Atlanta Hot Glass through the Emory Alumni Association, as strange as that may sound. I'm an alum of Emory (in case the comment above didn't make it obvious) and when I received the latest newsletter about upcoming events and goings on, an event about an interactive glass blowing night caught my attention. Fast forward two weeks and my boyfriend and I showed up at Atlanta Hot Glass, owned by Emory alum Susan Chin, and were introduced to the fascinating world of glass blowing. Let me tell you, it's harder than it looks, but lucky for all of us (there were about 20 people there in all), the instructors were fantastic. In addition to helping us make our own blown glass ornaments, they showed us some awesome examples of what you can make once you've gotten more skilled at it. We learned how hot the glass has to be to be malleable (it's kept in a 2050 degree furnace), how hot the 'glory holes' are that melt the glass shards and color the glass (2200 degrees), how glass sculptures are molded and shaped and transferred to the oven to cool down, etc. It was incredible and eye-opening and really fun. I thoroughly enjoyed myself since everyone was so friendly and willing to answer questions and assist us. Susan's cousin was great because he explained to us what was happening as the instructors were demonstrating making different pieces and when I was making my own blown glass ornament, my instructor (whose name escapes me), talked me through each step and why we did it. Atlanta Hot Glass also offers classes, studio time and opens itself up to the public like it did for Emory that night, which is great. Even if you're not sure that's your thing, you can take a course or a couple individual classes to figure out if it might be. A big kudos to the Emory Alumni Association for organizing this event and to Susan for kindly opening her studio to us. It was a fantastic and unique way to spend a Thursday.

After visiting the website, I called and spoke with Susan. She was extremely helpful and gave me lots of information. I chose the "Hands on Experience" for nine people. The process for payment and scheduling was very smooth and professional. Upon arriving, our team was greeted by the instructors, Lee and Jeremy. We were given safety tips and general information about glass blowing. Then we jumped right in. We had a blast! We each created a glass piece (paperweights and ornaments) and had a true "hands-on experience". I highly suggest this activity to large groups and small! For large groups I suggest keeping the pieces simple to allow time for your entire group to have a chance.
