1st and last place I needed to go for my xeriscape project. Everyone was very helpful and even with the little bit of information and "eyeball measurements " I had; they Were still able to get me the right amount of rock. Price is unbeatable I also want to mention their fast delivery, the gentleman that deliver the rock was on time and a excellent driver, I live in a neighborhood with narrow roads and neighbors that like to park on the roads and he was able to deliver the rocks with no problem. I will definitely be back!

We are very happy with our new walkways. Roy, Mark, Franklin, and Eli were all very helpful.

Service and price were both great when working with these guys about a year ago. We hired a contractor to replace sod after removing a pool and to landscape our backyard with some rocks since the tree shade killed some grass. They were affordable and delivered everything on time. Fast forward to a year later... we maintain our yard with monthly treatments through a company. The rest of our yard is thriving, yet the two patches of grass that we replaced with sod from this company are FULL of crab grass. No matter how often we have our company come back for treatments, we cannot get rid of it. It appears to be ok at first glance, but if you go up close, it's literally just crab grass! It's as if we planted weeds. It's also super thick so it grows differently than the rest of our grass. We are so frustrated with this sod and feel as though we have to reinvest to do it all over again.

Great company! I've been getting my landscape material from them for several years and have always been pleased with my purchases. Especially the stone!

We've hired them on numerous occasions. They deliver a great product, and they offer the best prices in South Austin.

I'm so glad I found this place. It's a bit of a drive if you're not in North Austin (and even then,…read moreit's off the beaten path) but worth it - lots of plants and butterflies and general pastoral beauty to get lost in. Inside, there are a ton of herbs, supplements, and tinctures... all well-organized, if not a little overwhelming! I spent a good 45 minutes studying everything. I usually go to the Herb Bar in South Austin for convenience, but I found a larger selection here... if you're into natural medicine, you can find a ton of options for stress relief, energy and vitality, general health, and so on. I particularly like the Mental Clarity tincture. They also carry different types of henna, Chinese herbs, and herbs with common spiritual uses. Many herbs can be found in both dried and powdered form. I quite appreciated being able to find lots of stuff in one place. There are smaller selections of crystals and rocks, and standard hippie fare like woven ethnic bags and sage. I was a little wary of staff because of some other reviews, but the long-haired guy who helped us was really friendly and attentive. I overheard him answering a bunch of questions for another customer. There is a small fee to pay via credit card, but overall it was cheaper than other places I go to. Will be back!

Need herbs? Garden of Ancients probably has them and in many different forms. If you're not big on…read moreprescription medication and want to go more of a naturopathic route, this is the place for you. Do your research first and know what you want because not all of the people helping will be able to give you solid answers about things. They may utilize Google right in front of you, lol. It is a very friendly laid back environment. Eclectic environment. Also of note the building in the back away from the street, down a long driveway...so don't go looking for your average storefront. It's more of a house with garden areas. Have fun!

I will try to keep this brief but there really is so much to say. We have a very big yard and only…read moretwo small trees, so we have been looking around for quite some time. Our ground is mostly rock with a little dirt (northwest Autin in the Hill Country). I have spoken to Albert several times over the years because our ground is so hard, and I worry about the installation, which seems to be the problem with all the other nurseries. Albert assured me they would do whatever it took to dig the holes and get them properly installed. We went to pick one tree this past weekend, but they were all so healthy and HUGE that we ended up choosing three trees. The trees are an excellent value for the cost. The experience was very enjoyable. A few days later, I was called to schedule installation, and they came out the next morning. Highlights: They showed up at 9:30, exactly when they said they would. Four men showed up (they were big trees). They had a jackhammer and shovels. They were very polite and worked with me on placement (turning them when I picked a different side to face the house). They spent time making sure the trees were perfectly straight. They hauled away all the old dirt and rocks (taking the rocks they dug up was great) They built a berm around the trees to help with watering. They installed tubing to help with daily watering. They put in metal poles and wiring to keep the trees straight as they grow. They checked to make sure I was happy with each tree installation as they did it. They made sure I was pleased with everything before they left. The area was as clean when they left as when they arrived. (This is a big deal because several contractors have left old water bottles and trash at our house before.) Albert called to ensure I was pleased with the work and is coming later today or tomorrow to install a timer for the water. I could not be more thrilled! The trees look gorgeous, and the surrounding area is tidy and well-manicured. We are already planning where we will put more trees next year. If you are at all considering investing in trees, you should take the drive out to see them. You will not be disappointed.

I can't say enough good things about ATX. We lost a tree to the recent drought, and after…read moreresearching local options, visited their RR12 location. The gentleman we initially met at their yard gave a tour of all the trees in his golf cart, asked us several questions about what we were replacing, and what we thought we would like to replace it with. He stopped frequently to identify the different trees, provide all the pros and cons of each variety, whether they were particularly suitable for where we live, etc. We didn't feel rushed, he was exceptionally pleasant, and was happy to answer all our questions. When we decided what type of tree we wanted, we were handed a flag, picked out the exact tree we liked best, and they delivered it in a matter of days. Their crew was friendly and efficient, and for a reasonable fee, cut down and removed the dead tree. They were finished in no time, and left the yard looking better than when they arrived. They only asked for payment when the old tree was gone, the new tree was planted, staked, watered, and we were 100% satisfied with their work. I really didn't think this level of customer service existed anymore. Go see them. You won't regret it.
