I noticed my tractor had none of the excellent improvments that the 2018 models had. I called the John Deere home office and was instructed I had been mislead into buying a one year old tractor. They sold me a 2017 without my knowledge to be more price competitive with their competitors. With the John Deere home office help and the dealer owner Todd Holland they were forced to make good on the deal and take back the derelict machine and replace it with a current 2018 model year 1025r compact tractor. I was going to give them another chance and buy another new tractor which was a 2038r larger sized machine. They quoted me another price off their computer software and said it was well discounted which nothing was farther from the truth. Their price was pure list price. I went to Sloan Implement in Lanark and purchased the same new machine for approxamately $5,000.00 less. Based on my experience with Holland and Son's John Deere and their crafty salesman Bill Saunders. I would recommend staying far away from any Holland and Son location like the plague. They leave nothing to the imagination when it comes to burning their customers. I am also reporting them to the Illinois Attorney General's office so hopefully they will no longer practice their art of deception on any more unsuspecting consumers.

I initially got an estimate from him for tree…read morepruning back in 2022, I ran into financial issues and wasn't able to get the work done I didn't hire him or anything just an estimate. He quoted me 1000 bucks which I thought was fare. I called him back in September of this year for a quote to prune that same tree and he recommended removal instead of pruning it due to safety. He quoted me 3k which I had no issue with told him I needed to wait a couple of months to save up. I called him about a few weeks later and asked him if he would still be able to do the job around the 4th of November he accepted but said it might not be that exact day but he could do the job. I reached out to Eddy on October 27th to see if he had a day in mind he would be able to do the job he texted me back and said I don't think we will be a good suit for you . I'm like so you wait til the week of the job to tell me you can't do it???? Very unprofessional!!!! I also called him weeks prior and asked him how he removes the tree I'm not sure if I offended him but I wanted to know if he used a boom truck etc. He sounded like he was irritated every time I called him. Eddy you have horrible customer service skills your rude and unprofessional!!!!

I tried contacting repair services getting responses of bringing it to their shop to oops, no response. I contacted JL through yelp and got a preliminary troubleshoot finally also indicated the need to get it into his shop. Again responding that impossibility I was surprised with the response "do I need to pick it up". Do I need to continue? A response, a transport, of course the repair and full checkup and some pointers to better use and maintain the snow blower. Information strangely not found in the owners manual. Overall, a very positive experience and at (what I felt) was a very reasonable cost. If you are in need of a small engine repair do give John a call.
