Over half bones in turkey wings.

It depends on what you order. The macaroni and cheese is terrible with mushy elbows and minimal cheese. $28 for a pan of turkey wing bones is preposterous and criminal in this economy.

This place has gone seriously downhill. The food was old and tasted awful like it had been sitting out for days. There's no flavor, no love, no nothing in their so-called "soul food." And to top it all off, I think they tried to pass off beef neck bones as shirt beef ribs. Totally unacceptable! The service is disgraceful. No southern charm here. This place is old been here for a while and you would think some renovations had been done they closed down for a couple of months and then came back worse than when they closed. I think the Fish House Ran its race and now they need to close. They are now quantity over quality. They lost their touch. Bye, fish house.

I decided to try RFH again a few times since my last review. My thru the roof Soul Food cravings needed fixing and RFH did the job!! I ordered my favs, Fried chicken and BBQ chicken (entree) w.mac n cheese, yams and collard greens. Everything was good. The chicken was well seasoned and moist and the sides were hitting as well! Portions are always good. I'm happy to continue to support this business..I hope they remain consistent. :-)

I cannot believe their prices have increased this much. So I stopped by because I had a taste for fried pork chops and didn't want to go shopping nor did I want to cook. I was shocked to see that they are now charging $26+ tax (28 in total) for a pork chop dinner in a take out restaurant. Worst part is they were only ok and the greens were cold. I should have known that something was wrong when I was able to get parking right outside of the door (IYKYK). The only good thing was the service, the server helping me was delightful.

There's nothing appealing about this food.

The worst Mac & Cheese ever , Watery and all taste is black pepper and the appearance doesn't make you excited to dig in , the yams had no flavor and the color was off , they were big with so many strings. I placed the order for delivery and I specified how I would like my food packaged and it was a mess yams on top and under the Mac & Cheese and don't get me started on the fish I had just got in from work and didn't feel like cooking so I looked online to order from a place I know the food is good but I seen this place and thought I would give it a try the worst decision I will never get or recommend this place ever again. I threw the whole thing in the trash a waste of money. I think I should open a restaurant like my family been telling me for years and show them how it's done

    Food sooooo left bones behind!

The Food was amazing! I had Smothered chicken with potato salad and string beans. I started off eating the food with my fingers because I didn't have a fork. It was so good I couldn't stop.!

Why Oxtails are not on the menu when you order online?

I think they make them only one day of the week; Sunday if I'm not mistaken.

I enjoy my food when I actually taste the food and not the salt so I loved it. Others complained not salty/seasoned enough but it was perfect to me. Chicken had the right amount of crunch and tenderness. The salmon was meaty (not fatty) and seasoned just right. I had the bbq salmon and it was delicioso! The Mac n cheese was a good blend of cheeses and 'cheesy' pull was excellent. Potato salad just right. The service was top notch despite the place being sold out and very busy!! The food was flavorful and well-prepared, although some dishes leaned a bit salty for my taste. I ordered the sautéed shrimp and grits. The shrimp were delicious, but I wish the dish came with a larger portion of grits. The gravy was very generous and ended up making the dish a bit soupy, so a little more grits would have helped balance the dish. Other highlights from our table included the fried shrimp and waffles, yams, and mac and cheese, all of which were excellent. Another guest in my party ordered the BBQ salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The ambiance is casual, comfortable, and inviting, making it a great spot for either a local brunch or a relaxed dinner. The service was attentive and pleasant throughout our visit. We were even greeted by the owner upon arrival, and his friendliness and hospitality immediately made us feel welcome and set a positive tone for the entire experience. Overall, this is a solid neighborhood restaurant with good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent customer service. I'd definitely return to try more items from the menu.

I felt safe walking inside of The Smokehouse today, no unofficial doorman. The second thing, this used to be a few seats for dine-in, but I can understand why it's strictly in and out. They are very busy, I would say, too busy to deal with cleaning the dining area. That is a good thing for business. I didn't see what I wanted and the young lady, ( I appreciate her so much) was kind and sweet. She informed me of the type fish they serve. I got Whiting, Mac n Cheese, and Greens. The Food* The greens were very tasty, properly seasoned and proportioned well. The Mac n Cheese is always compared to moms. Though the Mac n Cheese didn't hold together like I'm used to eating it. I did find it quite D'licious. What ever they are doing? They, are doing! I had the fried whiting, it had a bit of spicy kick. Very tasty, moist, not over fried or dry. The cornbread was silky smooth and held together on its own. I've never had cornbread that was like butter yet held together and didn't break apart, even when you bite it. I got three pieces, of course for an extra cost and it was so worth the purchase. To sum it up, this is the exact kind of meal, taste included, mind you, that I'm used to eating down south. The smoke house has duplicated a fine Southern dish. Just thinking, if they decided to offer a full sit down experience, like severs, a hosts or hostess to greet diners, table service, what a wonderful world this would be. Pro-Tip: Make sure you get the peppers and onions on top of the whiting. You can thank me later. Inspire more, Yelp more!

The hostess greeted me warmly and allowed me to browse the menu at my leisure without feeling rushed. The seating was spacious, and the self-serve bar area offered plenty of room. The decor and vibe evoked an early 60s charm, though the playlist featuring early 2000s hits was a quirky mismatch, yet, honestly, it grew on me and seemed to add a lively edge to the meal. The menu was straightforward, offering a tempting selection of chicken sandwiches and biscuit dishes. After some thought, I settled on the chicken ranch, it was ready in less than five minutes! The "Porch Sipper" drink was delightful; I ended up ordering a second, as its flavors transported me to open Kentucky fields, sitting on a wraparound porch on a warm summer day, savoring the music and gazing at the blue summer sky. The experience was truly immersive. And I must say, the staff radiated positive energy, they seemed genuinely happy to be there, which makes a difference when dealing with thousands of travelers daily.
