I was given a phone number by Joel to have a guy named Anthony Grant to install a deadbolt lock in…read moremy front door. The guy did an excellent job installing it. However, he leaned against my door twice while installing it causing the doorbell to ring twice. I paid him $255 to install the lock. Plus I paid $87 for the supplies need for installation. 5 hours later (at 8pm) I discovered that my doorbell no longer rings. The bell is jammed on the outside of the door. (not electric). The next day i called Joel & Anthony. Joel said, I told u that ur on your own. Anthony said I didn't cause your doorbell not to ring. In fact, he said I thought u were calling so that I can install a NEW doorbell. I said to him, maybe that's why u jammed it. He said have a nice day & hung up the phone. I've been in my new apt for 13 days. I'm now WITHOUT a doorbell. BEWARE of who Joel recommends.

After some advance research, I told them I wanted a 3/4-inch stop valve that would be sweated on a copper line. I spoke to one friendly person over the phone and was helped by a different person over the phone. When I walked in, they could tell I wasnt an industry pro and MULTIPLE people started proactively offering helpful advice. They explained gate valve vs ball valve with demo. When I stated that I did not have space for the long handles on a ball valve, one shared that some plumbers cut and shape the handles themselves. One man-- who has worked there for maybe 10+ years--brought out a T-handle ball valve, which has a short handle!!! They had all these options for my 3/4" copper pipe, more options than both Lowes and Home Depot... at lower prices. I didn't have to beg for help either. THANK YOU!!! Yes, I recommend them. I was on Fulton street and walked into this store that I accidentally found while in the area. I walked in requesting a copy of my keys and the owner asked if I wanted him to make only a copy of my keys and why not the FOB, too? I told him that he couldn't do that and that only my building could. The owner reassured me that he had all the equipment in that store and he would be able to CLONE my FOB so I'd have an extra set of keys and a FOB just in case I lost my original ones. He was right! I live in Brooklyn and when I got home even the FOB worked. This place gave me great customer service and really came through. They certainly know what they are doing.
