Well I went back to see and try out there kitchen menu. Well you most definitely need to go and try out their green pozole, it's so full of flavors. You will not be disappointed. My wife had a sandwich please forgive me I forgot the name but I'll look at their menu and post it in the picture. This is a perfect place to have a small family/ friends gathering for any occasion. I came to the new Sierra Nut House location at the corner of Bullard and Marks on Sunday when they first opened. This is the old Tony Roma's. It's been a few other things since then but none has done well since. Anyway, I wondered how they would fill this huge space. There is wall to wall Sierra Nut House products as well as some other gift type items. There is plenty to make a gift basket and it looks like they are still adding to the space. There is a section where the old bar is that they have tables to enjoy food. It is a very small menu with several daily specials. You pay at a cafe register which is separate from the register to purchase nuts, etc. which is by the door. You then can choose a table and they will bring your food out to you. My friends each ordered the breakfast "panino" which was just a tomato wrap, I don't think it was grilled. I chose the mortadella and provolone on focaccia which was clearly the better choice. It was full of meat and nicely plated with a side of couscous salad. It also had a delicious pesto in it. I wish I would have thought to take a photo. Service is about like the previous location which is why I don't frequent Sierra Nut House. I never feel welcomed or comfortable, maybe I'm not their desired demographic, I don't know. Seriously have some GREATNESS! They moved!! This one is right! The location is classy, GREAT. The other shows this address, but wrong location. I wanted do provide accurate pictures and place. Looks like they switched the reviews from the old locations. Anyways, I was in awe walking in...open airy with a beautiful bar and seating area. Greeted upon walking in and looked around to check it out!! Lots of GREAT specialty treats! LOVE that that they have sugar free options! Picked SF Peanut Brittle and went to checkout, on the way there another kind worker offered to help. Checkout!! That worker is great! Kind and welcoming!! Not sure how long they've been open at this location, but they're still getting their sea legs here. Brought out one of our sandwiches with wrong bread. Menu has done errors. Some choices were unavailable at 1:30pm. Kinda looks like they're waiting on a liquor license?? They did a nice job remodeling and modernizing while keeping a bit of the vibe at the Blackstone location. Help was hard to find and a bit surly. One person did have high level customer service skills. That was the gentleman who came out from the back and brought us our food. Started the morning here, was a little uncomfortable with the reception from staff considering us and another person were the only ones in the store. We were greeted quickly with a hello and there's where it ceased for a bit. We tried to shop for a bit but were never asked if we needed assistance or was there something we can help you find ? But this didn't stop us from enjoying the morning. The coffees we ordered were very good and our pastries were the perfect paring for our coffees. We chose to sit outside and what a view and great coffee and our fantastic conversation. We turned lemons into lemonade and enjoyed. Super cute, a hidden gem! Bar and seating area is great, doesn't feel too crowded. Love the patio option as well. Feels homey/cozy. Service was lovely, both the girl that took our order and the man that brought out our food were so sweet and quick! Food was delish, I went with a grilled cheese (was heavy on the cheese) but totally fine and had a pesto aioli that was so tasty. Hummus was great too, loved the grilled pita that came with it. I give 3 stars because they are hit or miss. The first time I went I ordered the soy latte with a few of their cookie offerings- everything was a solid 10/10 so much so I went back for another soy latte and it was not good at all! Very bitter and the pistachio cake I ordered was hard and crumbly. Today I decided to try their lunch. "The Bird" panini was ordered with a cup of ministrone. It came out to $17. The panini was average at best, I could get something way better in town for the money spent. Absolutely love it here. Amazing and healthy food. Their lettuce is so good I crave it which is a random and funny thing to crave but it's so crunchy and fresh every time. My favorite is the veggie panini and the veggie frittata. Great place for gifts as well as they have pre wrapped platters of food and goodies. Definitely on the pricier side but it's worth it. I was born in Fresno and grew up giving Sierra Nut House gifts for the holidays. Absolutely raved about this place to friends & colleagues not from Fresno. The time has come to end these compliments. This year I dealt with the most unprofessional, inept, and rude sales people ever. I called in my gifts for my sales team, since I always have to provide multiple addresses and there's no way to upload a document. So I usually call. This took place over a week ago. I knew it was close to shipping deadlines, so was willing to have all 8 gifts sent to me. The lady on the phone PROMISED me the gifts would go out on Monday and I would receive them by Tuesday. Again as long as they were shipped, SNH did their part. This was on a Sat. So I kept looking at the FedEx status and it never changed from FedEx creating label. 4 days went by and now it's Tuesday. So I called them and was passed to 4 different people who made me repeat what was going on. The last lady who I think was the store manager kept repeating herself like a broken record, "Ma'am there are a lot of gifts ahead of you". She wasn't listening. My gifts were ready to ship. There was no more preparation needed. Finally she said she would look into it. Called me back and said my 8 gifts were just sitting there with a note I was stopping by to drop off cards??? I don't even live in Fresno anymore. Anyway, so I was still pleasant up to this point, and then I said I need these gifts to arrive in time to me so I can reship to others. Will you please FedEx them overnight? She then says I'll have to pay for that. $30 on top of the $20 I already paid. I kindly said, I'm sorry ... the shipping error is your fault, can you please pay for it yourself. She said absolutely not, what do you want to do?? At this point I got very upset. She was like a robot what do you want to do?? I'm waiting. What happened to the friendliness of this store?? What happened to taking a customer service class if you work in retail? No apology of their error. I proceeded to say I will NEVER be shopping with them again after 30 years of being a loyal customer. They did not care. To the staff at SNH ... During my lunch break I went in to buy iced tea. It was some kind of peach tea and thankfully, unflavored. It was DELICIOUS! Such a local gem, not only for their local sundries of nuts and fruits but also for their excellent and attentively manicured selection of wines, both foreign and domestic. They also have a small Cafe which I have yet to try but hear good things about. This place is an institution for quality, local gift baskets that they will ship anywhere. I've always enjoyed getting the nuts and candies as great gifts during the holidays. But I didn't know how great their customer service is! Ordered a gift for my mom's birthday and got a call that the weather was too hot to ship the English toffee without the risk of it melting in the delivery truck. So I just switched out the item. Some high quality products at this place! They also have a bistro where you can sit and eat lunch. While, I have not experienced eating here, their gift packs and snacks (nuts, dried fruit, seeds and chocolate/candy assortment) are amazing! I know they also have a big wine selection. I love that almost all of their selections are from California with a focus on Central Valley. The staff here is also very friendly. If you don't want to go through the river park area, I'd suggesting entering off Nees, and going behind the shops, they have a back entrance!! It's only closed at night. I use this for a quick in and out to grab some snacks. Our household favorites are: the mixed dried fruit package ($8.99) and a snack mix with cashews, walnuts, raisins, pumpkin seeds, and coconut shavings ($5.99). My order was taken and I was told the manager would call me back. She did, shortly thereafter and told me they couldn't take the order since it was the holidays and they were too busy. I've been here twice and each time I had a fantastic experience. It's a very quaint and nice to visit, calm energy type of place. It's a little gem in the corner in Riverpark and has plenty of parking. The food here is fantastic! I didn't know they made so many things in house but they have a great chef back there who makes things from scratch. The salmon salad was delicious and the homemade dressing is perfect! First time I was here I tried a shrimp salad and that was delicious too. You can purchase just about anything here in the store part and I love the variety and options. There are plenty of different types of seeds, nuts and dried fruits. The place is located in a vicinity of other places. I personally love nuts and dried fruits and came here. One thing I would have to note is that the food here is not close to the affordable range. The dried figs and dates were in the 12-15$ range per bag and although it is high quality, I felt that you could have gotten more for the price. It is a great place to get socialize with others and to experience different types of nuts. There are nuts that are coated with flavor inside like a spicy picante or a salted vinegar. Inside it is quiet and a bakery for those who like to order out. I noticed there was no WiFi or bathroom inside or nearby. Outside are tables to enjoy pies, pastries and desserts. My overall experience was good, but the prices really hurt my rating which is why I gave four instead of five stars. read more

I'm not sure I can come back. The first time I went I was blown away. Their grilled cheese with the pesto spread was incredible. I was really excited to have found this bistro. But then the second time I went I ordered the chicken panini. And it was a regular sandwich on wheat bread, the cucumber was super cold(like winter cold), the tomato was super cold.......and the chicken was super cold. I wasn't upset at the soup not being piping hot because I can't eat piping hot, but I did expect more than a basic cold chicken sandwich on wheat bread for that price. Sierra Nut House has been around for a long time. They were once at Bullard and Palm and I would stop in there A LOT. Then they moved out to Villagio, tucked back in a corner, and I sort of forgot about them. They do the most beautiful gift baskets. Just go in, pick out whatever you want, get a bottle of wine (they are very helpful), and presto, magic, they produce this beautiful basket, all done up ready to give. I love it. If you want terrible customer service, come here. Although the goods and foods are excellent here, the service is so bad it's not even worth the headache. There could only be zero to one person in line, and you are guaranteed to wait a minimum of 30 minutes. I use to try to come here on my lunch break and it's just not worth it. I recently made an order over the phone as I'm always trying to support local small businesses, especially since all this Covid has happened, it felt as if it was a huge inconvenience. I've come here three times, and each time is worse than the last. Ordered an iced mocha with an extra espresso shot for myself, and then my grandmother ordered two coffees for her and my mom. My grandma's coffees came out first after about fifteen minutes of waiting, because the employee "forgot" about mine. He then had to remake mine because he didn't add the extra shot. I then get my (simple?) iced mocha after TWENTY THREE minutes of waiting there, and I kid you not, it is the worst mocha I've ever had. Completely bitter and did not taste AT ALL like a mocha should. Absolutely disgusting, I could not bring myself to choke it down. Do yourself a favor and crawl to the Starbucks inside Barnes and Noble, you'll get better and faster coffee that way. read more

Friday night (live music QUE PETER) and the Buddha Bowl with some fresh tea ... a little piece of my definition of perfect! Be aware that the Buddha Bowl ingredients change which is what I love but just a friendly heads up! Its always delicious, fresh, and wholesome. I recommend a Friday evening because the live music just adds to the very light and relaxing vibe - if you're a wine and cheese goer they have platters and a bunch of goodies for ya!
