    Morning selection yummy
    Michael G.

Started the morning here, was a little uncomfortable with the reception from staff considering us and another person were the only ones in the store. We were greeted quickly with a hello and there's where it ceased for a bit. We tried to shop for a bit but were never asked if we needed assistance or was there something we can help you find ? But this didn't stop us from enjoying the morning. The coffees we ordered were very good and our pastries were the perfect paring for our coffees. We chose to sit outside and what a view and great coffee and our fantastic conversation. We turned lemons into lemonade and enjoyed. Stop by anyway and maybe you can make them smile and laugh because the food was good and the coffee was on point. not to mention all the fantastic gift ideas so delicious.

Super cute, a hidden gem! Bar and seating area is great, doesn't feel too crowded. Love the patio option as well. Feels homey/cozy. Service was lovely, both the girl that took our order and the man that brought out our food were so sweet and quick! Food was delish, I went with a grilled cheese (was heavy on the cheese) but totally fine and had a pesto aioli that was so tasty. Hummus was great too, loved the grilled pita that came with it. So glad I finally decided to spot in, thinking this will become a more regular place for me.

Yummy soy lattes and delicious homemade cookies!!!

I give 3 stars because they are hit or miss. The first time I went I ordered the soy latte with a few of their cookie offerings- everything was a solid 10/10 so much so I went back for another soy latte and it was not good at all! Very bitter and the pistachio cake I ordered was hard and crumbly. Today I decided to try their lunch. "The Bird" panini was ordered with a cup of ministrone. It came out to $17. The panini was average at best, I could get something way better in town for the money spent. The saving grace was the ministrone soup, It was fresh and filling and had chunks of Italian sausage- it was very good.

Absolutely love it here. Amazing and healthy food. Their lettuce is so good I crave it which is a random and funny thing to crave but it's so crunchy and fresh every time. My favorite is the veggie panini and the veggie frittata. Great place for gifts as well as they have pre wrapped platters of food and goodies. Definitely on the pricier side but it's worth it. I love the Italian flare on everything as well. Lots of Italian imported goods.

During my lunch break I went in to buy iced tea. It was some kind of peach tea and thankfully, unflavored. It was DELICIOUS! I told the nice lady who ringed me up, I was a teacher and was having a VERY STRESSFUL day with rude and disrespectful students. Do you know what she did? She offered me a cookie! She made my day! Now I want to have lunch there because they so nice and the cookie was YUMMY! Thank Sierra Nut House.

Interesting, well priced wines such as this red from the Etna region of Italy

Such a local gem, not only for their local sundries of nuts and fruits but also for their excellent and attentively manicured selection of wines, both foreign and domestic. They also have a small Cafe which I have yet to try but hear good things about. This place is an institution for quality, local gift baskets that they will ship anywhere. Definitely check this place out for wine and locally produced snacks instead of the big box stores!

Great place to pick up snacks as gifts! Great selection. One of many aisles.

Some high quality products at this place! They also have a bistro where you can sit and eat lunch. While, I have not experienced eating here, their gift packs and snacks (nuts, dried fruit, seeds and chocolate/candy assortment) are amazing! I know they also have a big wine selection. I love that almost all of their selections are from California with a focus on Central Valley. The staff here is also very friendly. If you don't want to go through the river park area, I'd suggesting entering off Nees, and going behind the shops, they have a back entrance!! It's only closed at night. I use this for a quick in and out to grab some snacks. Our household favorites are: the mixed dried fruit package ($8.99) and a snack mix with cashews, walnuts, raisins, pumpkin seeds, and coconut shavings ($5.99). Sierra Nut House is a treat for snacks for ourselves. But this is a great place to pick something up for out of town/state relatives or as holiday gifts for family and friends!!

The Roma Panini also comes with your choice of salad or pilaf.

Besides a great selection of Wines and packaged Nuts think of Sierra Nut House for Lunch! They make Delicious Panini Sandwiches and salads. Usually their Chef makes a couple of kinds of soup daily. Today I had The Roma Panini (mortadella, Ham, Salami, Provolone Cheese and Marinated Red Bell pepper with Aioli spread. with a cup of their fresh Split Pea Soup.

It's unbelievable how much she fits in the space. She hosts book events, usually with a food truck or two and other vendors. I could go on and on about the gift type things they carry. This place is a quiet browsing spot, you don't really have workers asking you often if you need help, which is great for my fellow introverted people. Parking is pretty crazy though, there's a tiny parking lot on the one way street before getting to the building but since there are other local businesses right next to the store the parking gets pretty full most of the time. Grab a coffee across the street and browse, you can easily blow through 2 hours just looking at everything they have to offer. Since a lot of the goods are imported I would personally say the average cost of something would be around $22, so if you are planning on splurging make sure to save a little bit (or else you'll get torn between choosing what to buy, like I have done before ) The environment is also very communal, having a trinket trading box outside of their storefront (not owned by Sour Milk but heavily appreciated) AND a Sonny Angel/ Smiski trading station, and also vending art created by local Fresno artists! On top of their every-day communal outlets they also are huge contributors for Tower Districts Art Hop and they host local vegan food trucks from time to time.

The reviews…read morespoke highly not only of the food, but also of the people--and they were absolutely right. From the moment we walked in, Cindy and the entire team at The Berrock Shop welcomed us with genuine kindness and warmth. The environment was so warm, comfortable, and inviting that after a long drive, it immediately felt like a place where you could relax and enjoy yourself. It's clear they care deeply about the experience they create for every customer. The food was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and exactly what we needed after being on the road. But what truly stood out was the hospitality. It's rare to find a place where you feel less like a customer and more like family, and that kind of experience stays with people. This is actually my very first Yelp review, which hopefully says something about how strongly I feel about this restaurant. I will gladly go out of my way to stop here again. And for those who live in Fresno, I would absolutely encourage you to support this local business. Restaurants with this kind of heart, care, and welcoming atmosphere deserve to be celebrated and supported by the community.

I had three items off their menu, the patty melt, chicken pot pie, and the shredded roast berrock…read more The patty melt was the least offensive thing I ordered, being just alright. it was a bit overcooked at the edges, so the crust had a burnt taste. Patty and onions were decent. Pot pie was edible, but not great. The whole thing was dry, and the crust is a quickbread crust instead of a pie crust, which made it worse. They try to make up for it by giving you an extra serving of gravy on the side, but if you know your food is dry you should fix it instead of putting a bandaid over it. The Berrock was the absolute worst. I bit into it and it just tasted like salt. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I got into the meat portion of it and took another bite. Pure freaking salt. It's like someone decided salt is the only necessary seasoning for their food. I couldn't even taste the flavor of the meat itself over the taste of salt. I ended up throwing it away after two bites. If the best this shop can do is "it's okay" then I've zero reason to come back.
