WARNING: This place sells expired, moldy candy. We bought chocolate, opened it literally minutes later, and discovered it was disgusting, old, rotten, and moldy. When we immediately went back in (not even 2 minutes later) to ask for a refund, the manager flat-out refused. That's not just bad customer service, it's shady and unethical. Instead of doing the right thing, they tried to push an exchange on us, as if anyone should trust another item from a store that puts expired candy on the shelves. Absolutely not. This place is super fun! Be a kid at heart and stop in! It's in Heavenly Village Shops - a very cool upscale shopping center at the base of the gondola. Rocket Fizz is jam packed full of sodas and candy - and even cool signs. The employee was friendly and helpful. Such a fun place! We had just stumbled across the Rocket Fizz in St. Petersburg and once we found out there was a location closer to home, we had to stop in. This place literally has every kind of soda and candy you can imagine. The girl working behind the counter was helpful and friendly. It was a bummer that they didn't stock the Sprecher Black Cherry soda. It's my husband's favorite. We will definitely be back when we are in SLT. read more

Fun place to visit and find certain candies that you may not find anywhere else. But crazy expensive for the regular stuff. Basic items like M&Ms or Junior Mints are about triple the price you find at regular stores. But may be worth it for certain items you don't see everyday and may have even forgotten about completely. Cute little nostalgic candy and soda pop shop! We stopped in while out and about on our most recent visit to Heavenly Village and it was very cute inside! Plethora of sodas line every wall from Bacon to Apple Pie to Martian Poop to KISS Cherry Kola to Rocket Fizz's own brand. They also have tons of taffy and candy to bring you back to the good old days. I saw Bing Cherry, Charleston Chew, Razzles, Crows and even Violet Crumbles! I could go on and on with what candy they carry. They also have stuff animals, comic books and a whole Harry Potter section! Photo ops too with cutouts of Darth Vader, Betty Boop and Mickey Mouse plus a mechanical pony for 50 cents a ride. There's a little something for everyone and it's a unique shop with a welcoming owner! I even found my new favorite candy - a $10 Mint duo KitKat that was worth every penny. Seriously - it was life changing! You can buy the sodas on their website as well as gift baskets and gift cards. This place is nuts! Anything you could possibly remember as a kid in terms of old school candies, they have! Although I will say that they did not have any twizzlers or licorice shoe string which would've been great. The drink selection is bizarre and in terms of flavors, it's at your own risk if you want to go deep on any of their unusual flavors like grass, mustard, dirt, boogars, etc. Definitely worth coming in and checking it out - my bet is you'll find something or many things you'll walk out of there with. read more

I loved this spot! It was literally eye catching everywhere you turn and look. Such a unique store with unique goodies and sweets. Varieties of basic candies to the most weird insane ones you possibly have never heard of. Some you may even question if they are possibly safe to eat but yes they all are hahaha. The soda pop section was very interesting as well, seeing flavors range from the exotic fruit flavors to pickled juice and maple bacon soda??? This place was on a my bucket list of places to visit while in Lake Tahoe. They had an incredible amount of choices of sodas to choose from. I was a little overwhelmed to be honest lol. The prices were pretty reasonable. I believe I got 10 different bottles of soda and I paid about $22. Their candy selection wasn't as great as I expected but that wasn't the reason why I came here. Usually the workers are pretty cool to me but today the register guy accused me and my friends of stealing? He said he "knew" we were with the people who were already in the store when we walked in, but we had literally never met those people, we were a group of six and none of us had left the store once since we entered all together. Love that this place has so many unique candies. It is a very cute and fun store to visit and to pick up some treats. Kayla helped us out one day and she was very helpful and informative. She has a very sweet and positive attitude. She saw that I had a vegan patch on my jacket and gave us a list of vegan options in the store. She introduced my family and I to Chick-o-Stick and it is our new favorite candy. Also the candy in the picture is also very delicious. What she did was a great example of how customer service should be. She went out of her way to inform us about what was available to us. Our family really enjoys a good root beer and they had half a refrigerator unit dedicated to just root beer. I was so excited to find this place, I forgot to take any pictures. They also have a ton of vintage candy. Things like Abba Zabba and Beachum's gum. And they have a database! So if there is a specific candy you're looking for and cannot seem to find it on the floor, they can search to see if they have it available. SELECTION: like I said, their selection is great and they have a very wide variety of different types of items to choose from. COST: reasonable cost, and when I bought a six pack worth of soda which you can choose any six bottles that you want, you get a discount! On the horse and averages about 250 per bottle. But for the selection they have it's worth it! The candy of course is priced better than that, but honestly did not look too much on it. SERVICE: Love the service. Lots of posters or metal plates with actors, actresses, pin up girls, so not only candy and soda you can find here. I miss the contextual cultural factor here as I grew up in Spain and we had different brands (way less for sure) so I cannot relate as much as my boyfriend, for example, who remembers some brands of when he was a kid of some particular candy that his dad loved when he was a kid. There was a group who came in before us who might've been stealing? My wife and entered, initially overwhelmed but overjoyed, at the sheer volume of candy, soda and random knick knacks that lined the walls. My wife headed to the soda packed upstairs area and I started downstairs. I was immediately excited that within 10 feet of the door I found Garbage Pail Kids cards for a friends Christmas present. Score! Then candies and sweets I loved during my travels through Europe. Score again. My wife came downstairs proclaiming they had crazy soda flavors like "Ranch Dip" upstairs, which was a must see! I headed up and wound up with a Green Tea Soda. All the while, the two employees at the register stood discussing video game purchases with their visiting friend. They never made eye contact. Never offered a hello. I had to squeeze between the register counter and a display and they never broke away from their conversation with each other to engage with me. My wife and I picked up a few treats and headed to the register. We set everything down on the counter, one of which was a small bag of salt water taffy. The employee stated that the bags were sold by bag so we could go back and fill it up. Thank you but you could have said that while my wife was standing placing taffy into the bag had you paid attention during our shopping experience. Prices were fine for candy and soda items. Instead they continuously engaged in an unreasonably loud phone conversation. Loud enough that it was annoying as a patron (This shop is rather small). After about ten minutes (Still no acknowledgement, still on the phone) my wife purchased a few items and the cashier proceeded to complete the transaction yet never got off the phone nor did they even verbally acknowledge my wife's presence other then "Would you like a bag?" I love this spot! I found some of my favorite candies from when I was a kid here. I haven't had them in years and it was so fun finding it here. They have an endless supply of sodas too, it's crazy some of the flavors they had! We saw a bacon and chocolate flavored soda (don't think I'll try that any time soon.) I saw this business on undercover boss so when I walked past it, no doubt I had to check it out. Walking through Rocket Fizz is almost overwhelming with all the colors, candy, and American nastalgia. There is something for everybody in this candy store no matter what decade you grew up. There is so much more than just candy in here. They have soda of all flavors, toys, and even music posters. I bought some buffalo chicken wing soda and chocolate chip cookie dough cola. I as a local born and raised have been coming to this establishment for years and have never had a problem until today, March 13, 2023. I have never in my 18 years on this earth been treated so belligerently, disrespectfully, and unjustly as I was by an employee of yours. My group of friends amounting to six people were profiled and harassed by a man child well into his 20s. I understand that we're of alternative fashion/culture meaning we have colored hair and dark clothing and obviously teenagers so it's expected that shops be on guard. But today? Oh jeezums. This cashier screamed across the entire store not even 30 seconds of being in there and accusing us of stealing all because my friend was surprising our other friend with a drink that had their favorite character on it. After correcting him and clearing ourselves we continued on, keep in mind completely uncomfortable and feeling unsafe after that incident and seeing him chase after other patrons!! Which I'm sure is against policy like any other establishment. Anyways, after 20 minutes of looking around, having fun, and showing each other goofy items I and a couple others of my group were ready to check out. As I'm in the process of getting my wallet out the cashier accuses us of stealing again! But saying that we walked in with a bigger group, which I didn't!! We were all present and accounted for, tried to correct him again but he got super rude with us. A friend of mine stood up for us saying it's not that deep (he'd been loudly complaining that people were apparently stealing) and he got super butthurt and aggressive! Screaming profanities at us, approached us aggressively from around the counter, shoved my items off said counter onto the floor by my feet and refused to let me pay because I was "associated" with my friends. He promptly kicked us out screaming, again, profanities at us the whole way. I know businesses are aloud to refuse service but we were doing nothing! You could pat us down and find nothing! Of course we retorted with our own profanities and I gave him the bird completely in self defense, feeling attacked and wanted to brush him off. We all felt unsafe and attacked especially our friend who is two weeks into her third trimester of her pregnancy! Was in the store for all of 30 seconds before me and my friends got screamed at by the cashier working there and was accused of stealing. We are locals and have been going to this store for the entire time we've been up here and have NEVER been accused of anything, harassed, or kicked out of the store until now. There was a rush that came in a minute after we had came in and once the other patrons had left we were immediately confronted by the cashier asking where the rest of our group went(we were all in the store just kind of spread out cause we were shopping) and we told him that nobody that we walked in with left the store. He scoffed, and shook his head and was muttering stuff under his breath as he went to ring up one of our friends. I stepped up to the counter to tell him that he didn't need to act the way that he was and that it was disrespectful to us that he immediately was hostile towards us. I would note his name but he didn't wear a name tag or a proper uniform. After I spoke up to him he started screaming at us and told us to leave because I called him out for being a disrespectful cashier and for profiling us. He called us names and made us(most of us being women) feel unsafe and threatened(one of us being in their third trimester of their pregnancy). He chased us out and cussed at us, again making all of us feel threatened with the way he walked up to us and acted like he was going to lay a finger on us. Never in my life have I gotten this type of treatment, especially from a 15 year old new hire.
