I placed a large printing order in the store a couple weeks ago. I had no wait, and Liz helped went over my options with me and printed multiple test copies, until I was satisfied. My order was ready in less than two hours, which was significantly less than she originally estimated. I will definitely continue to get my printing done at this location. read more

I'm not sure why a twenty mile shipment takes Fedex seven days especially when the shipment goes to a near-by Fedex retail store. The tracking says the customer was not at home....the shipment was to their retail store. Perhaps, they couldn't find it? This is not a new problem. read more

Stephanie is definitely an expert in her field and, quite honestly, shifted my perception on the pricing and time frame that I previously believed FedEx to fall short at. She provided quick solutions, offered helpful advice to improve the visual aspect of my product, completed my order quickly (on the spot -- I didn't have to leave and return later) and the pricing was fair. I make no bones about the fact that I'm not a very smart person (and I would claim that very same thing about 90% of the population... "Hey you, shaking your head at me... yeah you!. Wake up call, you're dumb just like the rest of us." We've each got our own talents, whether it's creativity with a pencil or a piano or in the development of a Macbook... we can't all hold the blanket title of being "smart." Hell, 95% of the things I use in my everyday life were invented by someone smarter than me. I watch tv and I eat bad food. Bromance rules. Suck it. Other weaknesses... you ask? Paperwork and organization (amongst many) ranks at the top of the list. If I could sum it up in one sentence; The details make me wanna rip my hairs out one by one and swallow them individually while they get caught in my throat and I attempt to choke them out with a long scratchy fingernail that's drawing blood on the back of my tongue mixing with the hair while I continue to pull other hairs out with my other hand and feed them into the same mouth I am trying to pull the other hairs out of. Thank god for the Fedex in Royal Oak. They get all my faxes sent, my copies made, provide me with all the little crappy office supplies I could ever want (whoever invented the paper clip needs to rot in hell) and it's got a nice little fedex delivery service, all right down the road from where I live. And they have stayed open and rushed packages through on multiple occasions so that I could make the late delivery! This is a small business owner who knows how to get it right. It gets -1 star for the lack of parking, but is that fair to them? They're on Main Street, in a great location for a business... but I have to find parking and then carry my package and sometimes that can be a hassle (pst! sometimes I park in the alley behind the building, but don't tell the dps). I wouldn't normally write a review about an office print &ship, but the past two times I've been in this office, I've had particularly bad experiences. The machines I've used are always broken in some capacity. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but often understaffed and overwhelmed. Which means what should be a 15 minute trip can end up taking over an hour. Drive a bit further and go somewhere else. read more

You know, I don't really like negative reviews, but today was the last aggravating experience for me and our company at FedEx Kinko's in downtown Royal Oak. First the store is always very hot, what's up with that? Beyond being uncomfortable, the staff, at least the day staff are flippant and not so nice. I needed to send a package via overnight, and needed some help with the paper work. Not her job she said, go to UPS if you want where you last sent something to be remembered, which is promptly what I did. I drove ten minutes away, on an afternoon I was pretty busy for a much enhanced experience at the UPS Store. Are we a major customer, nope, but we do several print jobs a month with our small business, which UPS seems pretty happy to pick up. It is a great lesson in how a bad employee can chase folks away. What a joke. I called them to find out the prices of their "flat rate" envelopes similar to the post office. I Told the customer service rep the size of the envelope I needed, and she couldn't give me the rate. She said that I have to come in and give her the package and the address, that "is a flat rate, but she can't give me that rate until I come into the store." Stupid. I'll take my package to USPS. read more

This location is down the street from my office, so it is conveniently located for shipping and printing services. However, the staff is beyond slow, and even with a line of people to the door, there is no sense of urgency. Usually the wait is upwards of 10 minutes, and today I waited for 20 minutes while the only man working chatted with another customer regarding their favorite instruments (not kidding.) The only time I requested a large printing job, they quoted me $200 more than the Fed Ex location next to my house. Big thumbs down to this place. read more

This place is always busy! But for good reason... they do a great job. I trust them with all of my presentations, resumes, and other printing needs. Today there were some unruly/impatient people waiting, and I had the pleasure to witness FedEx employee Steven handle everything with grace and charm. Very professional and kind. I had a horrible experience with this FedEx and will NEVER take my business here again. I ordered a set of prints online and picked them up. When I got home (my mistake) I checked them to find they were incorrect. Returning to the store, I waited over 40 minutes to be helped. Once I was, they proceeded to not only charge me extra for the "cutting and designing" but then took the 100 wrong-sized prints away from me! When I asked what they were going to do with the prints, I was told they were being recycled! After my order was messed up, you would think I would be gifted these prints free of charge! No. When I inquired about the prints, I was told I could buy them for half price..... $40! No thank you! read more

I had a small print job, 40 double sided copies of a program for a memorial service. I had laid out the original incorrectly, so it printed backwards: the fold was on the right side, not the left. The gentleman took my .pdf file, reformatted the layout, and reprinted the job correctly with no additional charge. It took him about 15-20 minutes of effort, which saved me incalculable time of having to return home to reformat it myself. He saved the day. I will say he was somewhat brusque at first, but I find that if I'm friendly and patient with other people they respond in kind. He turned out to be an angel when I needed one. read more

FedEx delivered packages to this location and prior to picking them up I called to ensure they were there as I had already been told once before to pick up at Oak Park depot and my items were no where to be found. Was told by a rude woman that if they said there were 2 packages they were there. She finally checked and came back to tell me there was only one. When I told her how I had already been to the other facility she interrupted me to say people are shipping 4x as many things as they used to and there were people at the other facility with Covid. Like they are the only ones being affected. I asked her why she was shaming me and she hung up on me. Worst customer service ever. read more

I don't know what it is, but you know you're doing something wrong when you make the post office look good. I needed to use their computer to print something and the computer was too slow to load my file....and you pay around 0.30 cents a minute. Overall, I spent money and wasn't able to print my file. I just left instead of figuring out a different way to print it because I was so appalled at the service. Will never come back. read more

Save some time and walk your package to your desired destination. The slowest service ever. To be fair there was only one employee working but HIRE MORE PEOPLE. Faxing a document is just as slow because of the one guy behind the counter. Went here to print. Friendly staff, was able to get to a computer right away. Computer charges you per minute and the internet is ridiculously slow, go figure! It reminding me of the days of dial up. So a task that should have been completed in 1 minute for a total of 35 cents, ends up being longer and more expensive. Come on fed ex, you can't be that cheap.... let's get faster internet, your customers will thank you. read more

Rude, Unfriendly employees. Here is an example-I went in last week to ship a package. The guy behind the counter asked me a question that I didn't hear clearly. I asked him to repeat what he said. He visibly ROLLED HIS EYES to the customer to my right, either for the indignity of having to repeat himself or the stupidity of me not having heard him. Then when he asked what I had in the box, in a very sarcastic, demeaning and patronizing manner told me it needed packing...which of course cost $. I don't know his name but he is stocky/chubby, kind of balding with a stubbly beard. Sorry, I don't know how else to describe him. Created a FEDEX account on-line and uploaded images. I figured that since I had created a FEDEX account and had uploaded images to it that I could drive to my local FEDEX print center and they would be able to print them. I arrived and the idiot customer rep told me that I had to somehow email the files to him. I tried to get my account up on my cell phone but after talking with a customer rep by phone (the idiot at the print center was useless). The customer rep was nice enough, but after a hald hour, she could not figure out how I could access the files I was trying to print. After I got off the phone, I eventually figured out how to access my files using my FEDEX account. So I had the files on my cell phone screen and went into the printing center. I got the same useless idiot who said he was not trained to use the cell phone or on-line applications. I tried to figure out how to send them to him, but could not. So I went home and logged in and found my files and added them to my shopping cart for printing. I could not figure out how to specify a size other than 8.5 by 11 (I wanted 5 x 7) or provide any other details. Tomorrow morning I will call the print center and now that I have an order that was sent, hopefully I can tell them how I want the files printed. If I were doing this for a business, I would have given up long ago. The purpose of project is to print some anniversary cards for our 30 the anniversary. Not sure if I will be able to print them correctly on time. FEDEX printing is bad news from creating the account, to downloading images, to specifying what you want done with the images to print them. I do not know how anyone who is is business would think of their service as anything but a joke. read more
