The owner of this business made an evening call to address a plumbing issue at my house, and though he was neither able to diagnose or fix the problem, proceeded to bill me $1450 with the promise he would send someone back in the morning. Well, he sent some guy who billed us another $550 for showing up and looking for our clean out valve unsuccessfully for 15 mins before he tried to sell me on a $5500 valve he could install himself. I called my septic company and they were so horrified at hearing this, they dropped what they were doing and drove out to assist. When he heard they were coming to help him locate the pre-existing valve, he jumped in his truck, drove away, and proceeded to tell his dispatch person to bill for 3.5 hours of labor. The co-owner proceeded to then bully my wife over phone/text. I cannot recommend this business. read more

We hired Rocket Plumbing to do a lateral sewer inspection that was required by our township in order to sell our home. After starting the televised sewer inspection, they said that our sewer line needed to be jetted in order to be able to proceed. This was an additional $1250. After jetting the line, they concluded that our sewer line appeared to be sagging or broken. Our township failed us, and said it had to be repaired. They estimated the repair to be $10,500. We decided to get a second opinion. The second opinion revealed that there was no sag or break, and the line was clear. The township was present and passed the inspection. read more

Buyer beware of Rocket Plumbing out of Chester Springs. They have a $90 fee just to come out but don't disclose it when scheduling apt. Further, they told my sister's in-laws that to fix their shower they would need to rip out and replace the plumbing to the tune of $1400!!!! The problem was a $25 cartridge!!! read more

Sorry I had to give one star at all. This company took us for almost $1500. We had a leak. The plumber, Steve, did zero investigative work and only replaced a shower head. The shower head was expensive and not the one we wanted, but we were told that it was the only one that would work. Because the leaking continued, we called Steve from Rocket back to the house and still the leak continued. Correspondence with the company was a negative experience. Fast forward to this week. We got a new plumber, who did the investigative work necessary to determine the issue. In addition, he also replaced the shower head for which we basically paid Rocket almost $1500. This new plumber, who is professional, fixed the pipes and the total charge was less than $800. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Our experience with Rocket Plumbing was SHOCKINGLY BAD! The technician was supposed to arrive between 8-9:00 am. I called shortly after 10 am to confirm that he was coming. He arrived about 15 min later. This was the least of the issues and would have been overlooked if the following hadn't occurred. We requested their service to replace a kitchen faucet. We provided the faucet. After the tech looked at it, we were shown an electronic tablet with two pricing options. One was around $1200 and the other over $600. It was only until we said we were not interested in paying this amount that the plumber offered us another plan for over $400. We felt pressured to accept one of the plans. A google search suggests the installation should take 1-2 hours. Our son had installed a new faucet in his home in New York. He took less than an hour to complete the job. If we had accepted the higher-priced plan and it took two hours to complete the simple job of installing a kitchen faucet, we would have paid $600 an hour. Even if we had accepted the lowest price offered, the cost would still have been over $200 an hour. We felt that even that was exorbitant. When we questioned the high price, we felt that the plumber was sarcastic and unprofessional. Since we were not going to pay that amount, we paid an $89 fee for his travel time and told him to leave. Shortly after that, we received a call from a woman from the company. She told us we had a credit toward future plumbing work. I clarified we would not be using the company and would not be reviewing them favorably. She became agitated and I gave the phone to my son. She proceeded to tell him that they have a "retained lawyer" who would sue us for threatening them. When he asked how we were threatening them she said we were threatening them with a bad review. He clarified this with her, and she repeated that she would contact her lawyer if we gave them a bad review. We have since hired another plumber who was professional, friendly, and efficient. He installed the faucet in under an hour and charged us $120. We were appalled at Rocket Plumbing's pricing, the pressure we felt to accept an outrageously expensive plan, the unprofessional response of the plumber when we told him we did not want to have him install the faucet, and the threat to contact a lawyer if we gave a bad review. On April 7 2022 work as advertised was not performed to our satisfaction. When I called they told me the plumber has over 15 years experience. "This is what we do" ...your told you get a consultation for free if you purchase the package and if you have another issue for what was serviced the first time they will come out again at no cost. That's a lie ...so here we are leaving the review. The consultation should have been thorough enough that before you quoted/charged us we would know that we are possibly walking into an almost $1500 bill. During the process they let us know it was gonna be another $365 because of a clog in the toilet now created from whatever work was being done. Even after he left the sink stayed clogged and I had to plunger it! He then sent us an invoice over because the problem couldn't be fixed at the moment: Services to be performed: Rocket Custom 1.0 $1,698.00 Arrive on site. Cut out 1" copper line that providing drainage for lavatory sink. Heat and extract 2" bushing from cast iron pipe. Install new bushing or male adaptor to run PVC 1 1/4" line to wall in bathroom. Install fittings and trap adaptor on line. Install P Trap in vanity and test for leaks and proper flow. NOTE: The problem is that there is a 1" copper line that is undersized for a snake with a lot of bends causing improper flow. Once the pipe is replaced with larger pipe and larger plastic PVC pipe flow rate will be adequate. We couldn't afford that ! So here in August we called to ask for our sink to be unclogged as promised in the silver package. We are told by the argumentative lady answering the phone that no she doesn't have a copy of the package we purchased, she can't send me that but only my previous invoice which doesn't include the info we are asking for. You're not the customer. Okay. You don't need to tell us what YOU wont do. INSTEAD you should be consulting with someone ELSE Who haS the copy of the purchased PRODUCT YOU ADVERTISED. we aren't here to argue with you ! We simply need our sink draining quicker. How do you not know about the packages offered? Yet your scheduling folks for consultation?? Is your name not ROCKET PLUMBING AND DRAIN. Educate yourself about the plans and how to send copies of them if you consider yourself to be a real business. Because as the customer I will be telling you how to run your business. In mid November, we had Rocket come out for an estimate of an outdoor pipe. They said a fee of $89 for an estimate would be charged, "if they had to use a camera", which they didn't, but still charged us $89 anyway. Then they said they would have our estimate to us in a day or 2 via email. Here we are almost to Christmas, and we still have not received an estimate! Nobody will return my husband's calls. They kept saying they'd get back to us. We definitely don't recommend this company! We would love our $89 back, but I highly doubt that's happening. read more

We have contacted Rocket on 2 separate occassions. First was a blockage in our main due to a bad p trap. We found this out the hard way 6 months after buying this home. We have an family friend who usually takes care of this but he was not able to make it over. We called Rocket around 7:30 on a Friday and he was ready to come out. We fortunately got ahold of the family friend and did not need Rocket to come out. I did appreciate the responsiveness and was the only plumber out of 6 I called that answered the phone or called me back. When it came time for us to fix our P trap I called Rocket and what a great decision it was. I called Thursday around 4:00 to inquire about getting a quote to fix the p trap. Rocket was prepared to come out that night to check it out. We agreed on Friday morning and they were out by 9:00 and I had a quote by 9:15. They came out yesterday and fixed our trap, the service was top notch. Rocket made this painful process easy and worry free. I will be recommending them to anyone who asks. read more

I loved working with Rocket Plumbing and Drain. My parents are older and have dementia. Steve was very kind and compassionate in dealing with their "stories" and they took a lot of time to show Steve the issues. Once he took a look at their shower problem, he was very honest and told my parents that he did not have the parts that they needed for the shower on his truck and that the local supplier wouldn't carry them. He would have to research and see if he could find and order the parts for them (the shower faucet was from the 70's). He gave them options on replacing a shower faucet completely or waiting for the parts to arrive. They elected since it was an older faucet to replace the entire faucet. The pricing was reasonable, his work was excellent and my parents were glad to be able to use their shower. He even gave them a senior citizen discount.
