Locations on different websites are a bit misleading, some directing you far away from the actual sculptures which are southwest of the Nicholas Conservatory along the Rick Rive Rec Bike Path. It's not too far from the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford, and you can park somewhat close to them but will still need to walk a bit. This is worth the adventure of discovering the spot though, as I'm not sure anything similar exists nearby. For me, as a big video game fan, these really gave me the feeling of being surrounded by giant stone warriors - except that you can take a picture with them. With the river in the background, you can get lots of beautiful pictures with them as a quartet, though you also want some closeups to get some of the finer details. Throughout the armor, there's definitely a mix of different colors and textures and these stand with a variety of different interesting poses. Overall worth a stop if you're in the Rockford area, but also worth a special trip to visit Rockford for other fun tourist opportunities as well, particularly during the warmer weather months.

If you're going by car, the nearest street address is that of the Rockford Boys and Girls Club (1040 N 2nd St #1). Once you get there these 10 foot statues are impressive to see. The attraction is away from highway interstate. The visit takes 30 minutes to one hour. Small pond, decorated bridge, or statue can be found in the park. There some Japanese style building surrounding the garden. Overall is a very neat garden. I think the fees are a bit high for this garden. Parking is available on site.

The Foundation and its docents have done a wonderful job as caretakers of this unique story and historic building. Downstairs they have a temporary exhibit highlighting fossils they are finding in the Green River Shale in Utah. From the large bones to the tiny buds of plants. The dinosaur exhibit on the first floor will particularly appeal to kids and vertebrate fossil fans. While I was drawn to the very nice collection of Mazon Creek concretions and my first in person view of a Tully Monster (which is the Illinois State Fossil). 2nd floor is more geology focused than paleontology and the 3rd floor is Biological. I spent some time looking at the different birds they had on display as well as the live reptiles in the education room. Plus a little fox at floor level where young children could Ben down and look eye to eye was a nice touch. We will definitely return. Rockford is close.

It is very lush, packed with a lot of tropical plants, trees and flowers. It also has water features, ponds and streams that have fish (koi?) in them. The train displays are super nice. 815 Mistake This was…read moreone of the first escape rooms me and my wife ever did. We returned after they added their new room the clock themed one. In the meantime we have done over 40+ escape rooms with roughly 15+ different companies. This place ranks the lowest on our scale to date. The puzzles, rooms, props and mechanisms are all very underwhelming. The puzzle structure is prime for bottle necking and the game masters we've had provided the worst "hints" of any company. When people need to repeatedly ask for hints on your hints it may be in fact time for you yourself to take a hint that your help is anything but. The only positive I can give is, that of the few mechanisms nothing broke. This place has no competition in Rockford but if ANY came to town I would not be surprised to see it close like the axe throwing place next door. There are 20+ places closer to Chicago, consider them before here.
