We gathered on the first floor and went up to the rooftop for a cocktail party and Hors d'oeuvres before the wedding. They had a variety of delicious items. The bar was great and the drinks generous. The wedding was on the rooftop -- a beautiful setting for a marriage. I'm guessing there was room for about 100 people. After the wedding, we went down to the 2nd floor where they had tables set up for dinner. It's a lovely venue. The food and service were great. After the meal, the rooftop was opened again for dancing. Desert was available indoors on the 3rd floor, coming in from the rooftop. All in all, this is a great location for a large party or gathering. They did a great job, in a nice venue, of showing everyone a great time.

It's not a humongous one, but there's plenty of ground to cover and nature to see. Klehm Arboretum has a respectable collection of flowers, plants, and trees. A lot of family activities. There's often some kind of special event going on for children and family things. A lot of the gardens are specific toward one plant species or a family. It of course has better viewing in the spring and summer, but any time of the year has something to check out. The visitor's center is the first place most people come to. Get a map. You can find out where all the gardens are and which paths to go on. It has a pretty cool pond garden in front you should stop at. There's a Prehistoric Garden featuring a T-Rex. Also children will enjoy the Fountain Garden. This is a way to cool off in summer. Even though the programs say there's an admission charge, you can still usually get in free. It's not like there's anyone at the gate. This is best in the summer, but there's also later year activities like hay mazes and whatever.

There wasn't much to view but I did see one wild turkey so I added a star for that. We also took one short dirt path just to see...but it was just a short dirt path through the trees. If this place was free...I'd of liked it more I think. But at $12 per person it seemed like paying to hike through a nicely maintained park. I ended up here because Anderson Japanese Gardens were overflowing with attendees. So I went here where there were like 4 cars worth total on same exact day. Anderson btw charges about the same price so...maybe it's an entertainment value for the dollar deal? I think so. Worst customer service I have ever had at a coffee shop. Rude woman works there. Any question I had…read morewas met with attitude. When they were out of half their menu, I decided not to eat there and just sit with my husband who ordered a coffee. She came to our table to lecture us on why we had said we were getting a sandwich then changed our minds. Blamed us for starting to make sandwiches we never officially ordered or payed for (my husband is allergic to pork, and they were out of alternatives so we decided against it). What kind of customer service is that?

I like to support local business, but i walk into Katie's Cup and there's no "Hello" or "how can we…read morehelp you" even though there's no other customers at the counter. We checked into our room which was quite acceptable, though we had not realized that the hotel was…read morea revitalized industrial building. We then left the hotel for dinner and on our return to our room we found a ladder set up in front of our room's door. Upon further inspection we found that our room was flooded with over three inches of water from a broken pipe. The maintenance crew helped us get our possessions together. We were told to go to the front desk for room reassignment. Upon arriving at The desk we found out that the flooding affected a total of ten rooms and that they had no other rooms nor could they find anything in the area. Front desk staff did try to help while always maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor during a difficult time. They earned all available stars.
