Our dear dog Ginger turned 14 last year and her health quickly began to fade mid November. We know her time was coming to an end. By Thanksgiving we all knew - and she did too. We met with Dr. G and his staff and they were so nice, so gentle, so considerate of her and myself. After all, Ginger had been going there since she was a puppy. I do appriciate all they did and I will be always be grateful for Dr. G. and his staff. We had her creamted and just this past week spread her ashes in the backyard (which she loved).

Saturday my cat was dying, and they did everything that they could to save him but his body was to weak and he died. Let me tell you the heartbreak at that moment I felt they felt it too. They loved my cat even though they barely knew him, they cried with me and did not rush me out and let me take as long as I wanted to say goodbye to him. They have paw prints mold they made us with some of his hair and whiskers so we can always have a piece of him with us. You just sorta park on the side of a driveway that loops around the whole building. I brought my papillon here after our prior animal hospital closed down. That is, after much research in finding a new one. Rex and I were pleased with our first visit. All of the staff are pleasant and Dr. Goldmann seemed to be top notch. His care, his suggestions, advice and the whole experience really left me feeling comfortable after only 1 visit. It was only an annual checkup, but it was our first time together and his first time meeting Rex. Rex can be nervous around strangers, doctors and anyone messing with his body. The staff and Dr were careful, patient and simply perfect when working with him (shots, drawing blood, everything). I'm quite pleased and happy to continue returning here. The only other point I'll note is that they don't submit insurance claims for patients here. I've been to 3 other animal hospitals over the years and they all do this. So, if you have pet insurance, you'll have to submit the claims yourself.

When the end came, I was shocked to see an estimate of over $800. I have had many pets over the years and knew this was off. I subsequently brought my dog to Banfield in Nanuet. They were wonderful and treated both me and my dog with care and tenderness. They charged only $367. (less than half) The services being received were identical Euthanasia and simple cremation. I am not sure how 2 vets in the same county can come up with such widely different prices. (basically, one town over) My suspicion is that my (former) regular vet knows that we are weak in these moments and are ripe for paying an exorbitant charge without arguing. I would never go back there again.

The facility is very nice and clean. Welcoming, for sure. The front desk ladies were nice. The doctor and his assistant were fantastic with handling my dog (she's quite anxious as well). For the first time, I didn't see her put up a fight! This visit was much cheaper than my previous doctor visits at her old doctor. Not only that but the doc explained everything as he was examining her. I was happy when he gave me things to help treat Venus' infection instead of just saying it's "normal" and nothing to worry about. I'm glad I trusted my gut. Can't wait to visit again in a few weeks!

He cares deeply about his staff and is a very sweet man. I have 2 dogs and a cat. During a brief time when Dr jun was away. I took my dog to dr Bauer down the street at Palisades vet . He's good too . But not as good as Dr. Jun. Dr Jun also works with rescue groups and if you adopt an animal from a rescue group he will give you a very reduced price in neutering your pet . I took my my dying cat there to be put down . They allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye.

We called ahead and explained the situation and were assured due to the seriousness (as she was in much pain) her care would be prioritized. Upon arrival, the staff had a table all ready for us, and immediate action was taken to prep her for examination. It was respectfully, professionally, and tactfully communicated to us the exact diagnosis our cat was under, along with the reasons why that conclusion could be made. Unfortunately it was a fatal condition and nothing could be done besides relieving her pain. She lived a long and happy life of 18 years. Despite the outcome, the staff was empathetic and supportive during the process and afterwards. The loss of a pet is never easy, but the way the situation was handled was the best it could have been. A wonderful nurse immediately checked the kittens and found one had dangerously low blood sugar. Unfortunately, after waiting over an hour and half Dr. Alexander Bingham told us our kitten had no chance of survival and strongly recommended euthanasia, saying she would die within hours and nothing will help her. We refused to give up. Another doctor gave the kitten corn syrup, and she became more responsive almost immediately. He came again saying that its agony movements... We took her home, kept her warm, bottle-fed (that we bought in petsmart) her, and today she is completely healthy and thriving ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That same day, my cat was later diagnosed with a deceased kitten still inside her. Dr. Alexander Bingham repeatedly pushed for emergency surgery and spaying.Wheny I asked why spaying he said "it's just how I work". However, after receiving oxytocin, she naturally delivered the kitten herself just before surgery, making the procedure unnecessary. She also made a full recovery. The bright spot of our experience was nurse Amanda R. Anette, whose kindness, compassion, and empathy meant everything during one of the hardest days of our lives. My biggest disappointment was Dr. A.Bingham's lack of empathy, poor communication and speaking faster than you can hear. Absolutely willingness to give up so quickly and trying KILL instead treating. Instead of offering hope or discussing all possible options, he immediately recommended euthanasia for a kitten that is alive and healthy today because of mine and my fiancee stubbornness. I am incredibly grateful for the nurses and the second doctor (I don't know her name) who gave my pets a chance. Without them, the outcome could have been very different. I would never forget her words (might not work but it's worth trying).
