There aren't any dedicated dart shops in NYC, anymore, so I searched and found Touch of England, here on Yelp. Hopped in my car and drove to New Jersey. Tom was there. He knows his stuff. I'd brought my Bombers and explained that they're a bit heavy and smooth, to my taste. He weighed them and then pulled out a lighter, more streamlined set with more grip and a longer shaft...but with the rounded barrel, somewhat like the Bombers, for my go to front grip. Really nice set. After a few well landed throws, I was ready to say, "yes". Then he pulled out the same brand, weight, and length/grip but with a tapered barrel. More of a middle to rear grip...which I'm not used to. I liked that one, a LOT. Both were excellent, but the tapered head won the day. A bonus is that Tom was watching my throws and how the darts landed. He could see how well I was taking to the middle grip, and said so. Also made suggestions for keeping the shaft size as it is and which flights would serve well. Very happy I made the trip. Excellent selection of darts and everything related.
