The 2x4 wood exterior trim was primed but needed a couple coats of paint to match the trim on the rest of our house. Access to the 2nd story required a tall 24ft ladder and professional painting expertise. I saw an advertising sign for Chris near our home in Grass Valley (south county on Wolf Road). I called his number and left a message, which he responded to the same morning. He came the next day and gave a very reasonable estimate and said he could do the job later the same week. He arrived this morning and got right to work. He has all the necessary tools and takes the time to carefully paint the trim with two coats. Really good quality, perfect coverage and very precise lines between the trim and the siding. Throughout the job he took the time to ask and answer questions and keep me informed of the progress. It was a fairly small job time-wise and he completed it in a few hours. The cost was exactly what he had estimated and was an excellent value. Chris is a good guy to work with and I couldn't be happier with the results and the process too.

When I hired Rob I stated clearly that the needed the…read morehouse to be painted by a certain date as we were moving and my partner was having surgery and would be unable to help move after surgery. He said he could meet that deadline. I showed him the colors I wanted and where they should go. He argued with me insisting that the interior of the house should be all one color. Within a few days of starting, he broke 2 of the doors (yes he did pay for the doors). Towards the last day of painting I dropped by to check on the progress. One painter was painting the base boards near the front door. When light hit the area he was painting I noticed that some of the base board hadn't been painted, and there were areas on the adjoining wall that needed a second coat as the original color was still visible. I pointed that out and it was resolved. (this becomes relevant later). So the day after they finished I checked out the paint job. The corners where the darker color and the lighter colors come together look like there is a vertical white line in each corner. If he had painted the darker color into the corners rather than the lighter color or put a second coat in the corners it would blend better. Further there are areas on some walls where it is obvious a second coat is needed as well as areas where the sheen is blotchy and need to be correctly finished with the roller (or brush). In one hall way there is blotch of paint from the adjoining wall that is a different color. There are also places where there is paint on the carpet. I called him to show him the issues. He came over and he said I was angry from the start and he didn't understand why (arguing over my paint colors had not put me in a good mood). He said I had already done a walk through when I had pointed out the baseboard issue earlier. I stated I had never gone beyond the front door during that visit. He said he would come the following Monday and fix the blotch on the wall and other areas that were not looking good. HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD FROM HIM SINCE! So this summer in addition to getting the outside of the house painted I will need to have several walls repainted with a second coat.
