I had my house painted last month by Andson Painting. They did an ~excellent ~ job with the prep work masking, sanding, and power spraying before starting in with the paint. They spent over a day doing the preparation. I've often heard that there is where you can tell the excellent from the 'just okay" painter. My house looks beautiful, now.. I'm a believer. Best of all? After getting several estimates from other painting businesses, I was able to get such a great company for a very fair price. Getting your home painted doesn't ~have~ to be an unpleasant trial. ***This review has been 8 months in the making*** Kevin sounds like a nice guy, and it was easy enough to contact him via his website. I first reached out last Spring of 2015 to get an estimate for a home I was trying to sell in Folsom. We had agreed on a time in the early morning to meet at the house, so I drove from Davis to Folsom to meet him. He no showed and later when I called him, he asked "didn't you get my email that I couldn't make it?" I did not think to check, but after he mentioned that, I did find an email saying he would not make it, but it was time stamped about 2 hours AFTER our appointment. I eventually went with another painting contractor, but I didn't hold it against him then, figuring it may have been a foul-up because of the Gmail server. Later that Summer of 2015, I contacted Kevin again to try and get a bid for a project in West Sacramento. He made an open ended appointment with me, defined as "around lunch time." Seeing all the great reviews here and not holding the first no-show against him, I made myself available and waited in the area for his call to try and meet him. He never called me and NO-SHOWED again I waited in West Sac for over 2 hours before I decided to head back home to Davis. Since this was a Friday, weekend traffic was stacking up and wouldn't you know it? As soon as I reached the Davis exit, Kevin calls back and says he can be en route to West Sac in half an hour. Anyone who knows Eastbound I-80 on a Friday afternoon knows it's a parking lot from the UCD exit east to Sacramento, so no, I wasn't about to turn around and drive back to West Sac in hopes that he'll really show. Kevin said he had some jobs he was bidding in Solano or Napa County within the next week or so and that he would call me to let me know what his availability would be or if he was in the area. When bidding on the job, Kevin said he'd treat our house as if it were his. And he really did. Super, superb job, at a competitive price. We had some wood trim that was rotting. He pointed it out during the bid (though we'd already knew about it), and he had it fixed during the job. We had some faux shutters (wood) that were in terrible shape, and he spent a long time trying to come up with options to repair or replace them. In the end, they look better than new. We liked the fact that he was also around much of the time doing and/or supervising the work himself (though his crew is great, too). Not a single thing to complain about; great job. read more

So 2 years later, our exterior still looks amazing. Kevin & Rafael had to seal so many cracks in the stucco it literally looked like a jigsaw puzzle. Do you know that warm comfy feeling you get when you meet some people? Well, that's how I felt when Kevin dropped by for the initial estimate. Before hiring him (actually, before I contact any contractor) I checked his status with the Better Business Bureau. I also checked his license to make sure he's legit. And yes, everything checked out. Kevin and his crew did an excellent job prepping, power washing, sealing cracks, painting, and cleaning up after painting my house. Since I was indecisive, they painted large samples of several "body" colors to complement the Spanish color tile roof. After painting the body of the house, Kevin and his crew painted several "trim" colors from which to choose. And after that work was done, we selected other "accent" colors for the door, gate, shutters, etc. Kevin also fixed the rotted wood shutter and repositioned them for me. It's been about 8 months since they painted my house. I love the color combo and the process we went through. The quality of their work shows. I highly recommend Andson painting. read more

We got a total of five painting bids to paint the exterior of our home. Andson Painting came in with a great price which was mid-range of all five bids. What sold us on using Kevin and his crew were the outstanding reviews on Yelp. Also, when meeting with Kevin, he gave us a thorough description of everything he would do including all the prep work which was pressure washing, sealing, caulking, taping and covering all hardware or completely removing to paint behind. He removed our shutters rather than painting around them and because there was the beginning of dry rot, he pretreated the wood with a product called wood hardener. He covered all exposed areas including sidewalks, driveways, plants, bushes and trees. The weather wasn't Kevin's friend as it rained off and on the entire time he was here painting making his job extra hard. He even got on our roof and painted the roof jacks to match. He was here every day beginning early and ending around 5:00. He was personable, professional and fun to be around. His clean up work was exceptional and when all was said and done, we were left with a beautiful 'new home' that had many of our neighbors stopping by to admire. Great job Kevin! read more
