It is fairly difficult to get anyone to come out and give an estimate for a job, but Rodrigo came out the next day and gave us a very competitive estimate, which included the materials, and we decided to hire him. Hired the "crew" of Nevarez painting to repaint my newer house. We didn't have a choice on paint when it was built, so a fresh repaint in a more suitable color was in order. Job was quoted as taking 5 business days. 10 days later, my house was a complete mess, paint overspray everywhere, ruined landscaping, and no end in sight for the job. It was a nightmare. In my search for a painting contractor for a small job, I was refered by HomeAdvisor to Nevarez Painting. Mr. Nevarez contacted me by phone and said he would come by and have a look and give me an estimate, which he did a few days later. I thought his estimate was completely reasonable and he said he would come by the next Saturday and and take care of it. He did not show up. I called Mr. Nevarez a few days later and asked if he still intended to do the job. He said he would come by the upcomming Saturday. Again he did not show up. He did not call or email to let me know he was not coming. The job I had was not an especially big one and maybe he felt it was too much trouble and not worth his time. If that was the case he should have said so up front instead of giving me an estimate and assurance he would do the work. I can't comment on anything else concerning Nevarez Painting i.e. the quality of his work or any other aspects of his professional abilities, since he never showed up. There may be many folks who got satisfactory work from Mr. Nevarez and feel he is a good painter. Unfortunately I'll never know. This job was not a big one, for sure, but in a few years I expect that we will need the exterior of our home repainted, and one thing will be for certain when that time comes...I will NOT be calling Nevarez Painting nor would I ever recommend him to anyone.
