This is an alright place to eat in Jackson that is outside the Columns and Vann Drive mess located downtown. This is a popular lunch spot, but it is also a bit pricey! It is not exactly somewhere you will find on a regular basis unless you have $25 to spend on a pizza that is not even that large. They pride themselves on some healthy items and modest portion sizes. If this was in Nashville or Memphis, the price tag would make more sense to me, but this is in Jackson. Additionally, pizza for that cost? Why don't you just go to Chandelier if you really want to spend that? Also why couldn't the hostess get off her phone and pay us attention upon our arrival? She was pretty busy playing on that than minding the host stand. Opinions about price aside, I feel that they do have some decent offerings for both adults and children. If you want a smaller portion, just get something off the kids' menu. There is not much to be said about service. She showed up when needed and gave us what we needed when it was needed. Soooo, it's tough to rate a pizza place when you didn't eat the pizza. Maybe it would be a 5 if I had. However, we were feeling like a burger and a salad, so that's the route we took. I'll start with two items that I might have led to a five star review and finish off with what brought us to a 4. The Greek salad was surprisingly delish! It was a great portion and they were not shy with the olives and feta. The dressing was pretty dang tasty too. And then there were the side of fries- yuuuummmm. They tasted like fresh cut potatoes and hit the mark. Buuuut the burger- oh the burger. Was it a frozen patty? Was it beef? I'm not sure. It definitely lacked in depth and breath. We were a bit disappointed in our choice here. So go. Enjoy yourself. Just don't order the burger. read more

Stopped here on our way to Texas. Honestly, the hostess looked disgusted to see us. We were seated right away and were greeted by our server whose name I don't recall. He was soft spoken and the place was rowdy-noisy with all the families / kids. There was a nice selection of beers on the cool flip cards. We ordered a round and they came quickly. We all enjoyed our drink selections. I ordered a Caesar salad and while the spring greens were very fresh and the dressing very good, the whole thing was room temperature which was disappointing. I like my salad to be cool and crisp. The guys ordered the carnivore pizza and destroyed it. The pizza was good but nothing special. Great service! Great food! Classic ambiance. We order the classic cheeseburger and fries with the jalapeño and white sauce calzone (it has a name, I can't remember it). Both were amazing and I would def order again. We had the breadstick appetizer and while too large for two people it was really good. It comes with goat cheese in it which is my favorite and it was delicious. We will def come back again when in the area. read more

This is my go to pizza place!!! Whenever anyone ask what's the best pizza in Jackson Tn, Rock'n Dough is the answer! My favorite by far is actually the plants pizza. To die for even for a carnivore!! The establishment is real modern and filled with plenty of spacing and TVs for big parties. They also offer t-shirts for sale. The loaded fries were nothing special but were a solid 5 out of 10. The pizza was a 6 out of 10. Waffle slider are a lot to unpack it's basically a whole waffle split down the middle with two and two sausages in between to make a waffle sandwich. I'll start by saying the waffles are nothing to brag about. Don't have much flavor to them. The egg comes over medium and taste pretty good. The sausage also taste good. After taking a bit with the whole slider together, I wasn't feeling the waffle and decide it was best for me to eat them separately. I finished the eggs and sausage and left the waffle. We got hash browns for the side and they come in a small fried cluster rather then thin cut pieces. I took one bite and tossed them to the side. The beignets!! Man the beignets were a 10/10! I would come back just for the beignets alone. Our service was good, we got seated right away. After all I have heard of the pizza here I had to try it, we got the jalepostrami pizza and it was sooo good. The crust is cooked to perfection and dough is wonderful. The carnivore calzone was great also. When we started the waitress suggested their version of poutine fries and holy mother of my savior they were so good. We got an two appetizers of beignets, and they were large portions. For my meal I got the chicken and waffles, and it was comparable to chicken and waffles I have had for twice the price! My friends had calzones, and I got to sample all of them. The white sauce Buffalo soldier is not to be missed. I finished off the meal with the brownie ala moe, and it was awesome. It was my boyfriend and I's first time visiting the restaurant and we were VERY IMPRESSED! From the hostess, Jaylann, to our server, Chloe, all was top tier. Our food came out quick, hot, and fresh!!! We ordered the ZZ tots, Italian sub, and USA! USA! pizza and they were all delicious! The drinks were tasty as well! My boyfriend received the beignets because we were celebrating his birthday - and they were AHHH-MAZING!!! Great customer service is a rarity, but this establishment is on top of it. Holy cannoli, best pizza I have ever had hands down. Until I recently visited it was Bad Dad Brewing in Indiana, but Rock'n Dough snuck in for first place. We started with the Burrata Caprese which was super fresh and delicious. The tomatoes where to die for. The pizza was so hard to choose from but we landed on the Super Freak. It was cooked to perfection with a soft crust, just enough cheese and sauce. The caramelized onions, spicy sausage and drizzle of honey was a beautiful balance. Just wow! I was stuffed when I finished the small pizza and yet sad I didn't have more! The beer selection was diverse and so much fun to try. We definitely recommend a flight. Although there needs to be a way to check out what's available but not listed on the menu. Same with what isn't available - two of the four we requested they were out of. This place gives rock and roll as well as pizza a bad name. Terrible pizza. We started with the loaded fries appetizer with the house made ranch. It is dill ranch and it is horrible. They do not have an alternative ranch. Then, We ordered the carnivore pizza . They should call it the can of oil pizza. It was so greasy that it was inedible and it tasted as if an entire container of salt was dumped on the pizza after it was cooked. I was asked how the food was and proceeded to state the above. Rock and Dough has always been one of my favorite spots and the best spot for pizza in Jackson. It's the best place to eat in the entire city. Great atmosphere, awesome service, plenty of drinks to choose from while you're dining in. I will say the califlower crust pizza is my go to. This is my mom's very favorite place to get pizza so ordered a large takeout order for her birthday. The curbside pickup was super easy which was appreciated. We got a large half/half (USA and Lifted). We subbed hamburger for sausage on the USA. Also ordered a small Roni, two salads, and a side of mustard sauce. The order came to almost $70. You may think it's hard to spend that much on pizza, especially when there are a ton of cheaper options. What I'll say is 1) we don't come here often (because of price unfortunately) and 2) the ingredients are incomparable to pizza chains. The ingredients are high quality, locally sourced, and fresh. The pizza was really good, especially the Get Lifted one. Excited to try some of their other pizzas as we typically get the same one. Overall tasty and high quality. It came with the salad, and drizzled on the top of the pizza, but I had to ask for extra on the side to dip the pizza in. So delicious!! The pretzel and beer cheese was nothing to write home about. I have to start this with out first impression: the hostess was too busy to look up at us from her phone to greet us, take our name or answer any questions. Came very close to leaving. However, we waited 20 for a seat because of the beer choices and the crowd seemed to be happy and enjoying their food. We were not the only ones to have this experience. She also had the duty to of helping to clean tables; she never stopped texting while she did that too. The salad I got was good, the dressing was wonderful and the beignets were awesome. The beer choices were good. We'll try again. Hopefully the total experience will be better next time read more

Got pizza and wings to go and everything was on point! I don't love the ranch but it's homemade which makes it a bonus! Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Wings were great!
