Its a family owned business and the inside is cluttered with computer parts, cords, and hard drives but they do good work and explained and communicated well. My cost was $95 and they put all the data onto 3 CD's for me to take home. They also repair TV's, servers, networks and really anything with a computer.

After a forced overnight Microsoft update that may have gotten stuck, my battery was completely run down. Not sure why, since power adapter worked. For some reason, my laptop powered up 'at the shop' rather than my home, but once restart was accomplished there, and battery was sufficiently recharged to take home, everything was all better. (My power adapter checked out fine.) I supposed I could have figured it out eventually (jiggled plugs, etc), but the 'it works now at the shop' seems to be what was needed. The guys there were so polite and…read moreexplained that the reason my recently updated Lenovo wasn't working efficiently was because I was trying to run Windows 11 on only 8BG of RAM. I know nothing about computers and they let me know it's much faster and easier with 16GB RAM. They gave me a very reasonable time frame of a few weeks to update or repair it and a very reasonable rate. They also gave me the option to buy a used recently refurbished laptop that day. I needed the functional computer right away for work so I bought the used laptop and figured I'd get back to the repairs needed on my Lenovo when I could afford the extra time and money. I thought they were awesome and recommended a few people there when it would come up in conversation. ...Embarrassingly for me however, the laptop they sold me had a screen that flickered like crazy. You had to open it at just the right angle and if it wiggled the screen would just go black. I couldn't return it to them unfortunately, no time and no money. It flickered since day 1 and there's no way they didn't know it still did that after they had "fixed it", he started it up at the counter before he sold it to me. The computer was facing him and I have too much trust. -- I just learned that there were likely compounding factors that were why my original Lenovo wasn't working. Because it's very normal for a standard, nongaming laptop to have 8GB of RAM and it didn't take everyone else 4 hours to type a single page of word document. It's been a few years now and my partner who is in tech just told me this. I wasted that critical money and critical time on a piece of equipment that was so dysfunctional that it actually set me back in my search for a new job. In fact I actually had more work now to do to make up for my mistake. Turns out I guess this was just another experience of being fed BS. When you walk in to Microseconds, make sure you're not actually relying on whatever laptop you get from them unless you know your stuff, have the time and resources to go back and fix problems, and are comfortable asking for a full walkthrough so you can make sure your new/used computer is working properly. This girl was too desparate for an option and got taken advantage of. This girl did get poorer service these other reviews I'm seeing. Of course I'm disappointed in myself but honestly you also need to shape it up fellas, you're behavior is disappointing. I hope things have changed there since then.

Granted it was a quick check and I asked them specifically to look at one component but it still says a lot about the type of operation they run at Microtime Computers. Most recently I screwed up the installation of a graphics card and I thought I fried my PSU in the process so I brought my system in and they tested it for me. Sure enough, I killed the PSU. I asked what my options were/if they thought I killed other components and the guy told me it was possible that I did but it would be $90 to take a close look. He recommended I buy a new PSU, plug everything up and hope for the best considering I would need a new PSU regardless. If I was having troubles he told me to bring it in first thing Monday and they'd evaluate the whole situation for me. I got lucky and everything survived, system started right up with a new PSU. They could've charged me the $90 and then told me all I needed was the PSU but they didn't do that. I'll be back whenever I have an issue I can't deal with by myself.

They have always been incredibly responsive, extremely professional and wonderfully customer-oriented. And they are really nice guys! Steve and Max are great at explaining things in a way and language that a non-techy person like me can understand, while guiding me in making good long-term choices for my business. They find answers to problems and needs while keeping my budget in mind. Over the years I've referred at least 6 other business clients to them, all of whom are happy with their services. My employees also use them for home computer and network issues. Microtime works with me as a true partnership and I can't imagine my company without them.
