We stubbled onto this eco-friendly means of transportation as we exited our hotel for some lunch…read more Anthony, the owner and an operator, which says a lot about knowing how to lead a company by example, greeted us. He also informed us that they work solely on tips. After some talk with both Anthony and the hotel staff we concluded $5.00 to $10.00 tip was about right for these short trips based on the number of people in your party, the distance and if they're waiting or returning for you. Seats: Although, this open eggshell on wheels only seats 5, including the driver. There was more than enough room (leg room too) for everyone. Unfortunately the lack of air conditioning makes it...not the best choice...if you're all dressed up and heading out. In that case call a cab or grab your car from the valet. Tours: Along with being a taxi Hop Corpus also gives tours of the area with a little bit of history tied in. However, that bit of information coupled with a our drive in the hot sun made think it could've used was cup holder and possibly basket/cooler on the back for water bottles and cool drinks. Overall: We found this to be an excellent environmentally friendly way to get around the beach area while also enjoying an uninhibited view to the strip so it's safe to say, I'm a fan - 4 Stars.

This is the best little tour of the town. It is like visiting your favorite quirky aunt, who knows…read morea lot of history about the place she lives, and she wants to tell and show you everything. From the history of how the town was established to the murals around town. It was relaxing and a lot of fun.

This historical tour was very interesting. Susan & Renee, tour directors were great. Early life [ edit] Howard Butt was youngest of the three sons born to Charles Butt, a pharmacist from Memphis, and Florence Thornton Butt." I knew about the Seawall, the Whaterburger history, etc. but I did not know about the Old Bay Cemetary. I knew nothing about 104-year-old Perry Boone who requested he be buried in Old Bayview Cemetary. I knew nothing about the Hillcrest African American neighborhood, some interesting historical information. I knew nothing about the 1919 Florida Keys Hurricane which heavily damaged the old Nueces County Court House and the hurricane caused catastrophic damage in the city with debris scattered across the downtown area, and roughly $20 million in (1919 USD) in damage. The dead were laid in front of the courthouse on the lawn so families could identify them. I am sure this old courthouse is haunted . The painted murals around town on different buildings were quite beautiful. Overall the bus tour was air conditioned, interesting, informative and very nice. RECOMMENDATION: I recommend this bus tour if visiting Corpus Christi, TX.
