I called Smitty's and they not only went and looked through the parking lot, they pulled the security footage and saw where the envelopes had been swept up and thrown in the big dumpster. It didn't stop there - Maribel actually climbed into the dumpster and dug around for my dads mail - which happened to be checks. She found them! My dad was ecstatic! The whole team went above and beyond. Special shout out also to Bo who I spoke with numerous times on the phone - he actually called me twice! and to Nic and Trey. After I paid, the owner/manager ran out to my car demanding to know why I was getting a wash with a storm coming. I answered honestly: I had used car wax on my headlights and wanted to rinse it off. He immediately escalated, claiming it would "destroy" his machines and could ruin other customers' cars for days. I calmly offered a simple solution--let me wipe the headlights myself before going through. Instead, he launched into a long, angry, rambling lecture. I asked for a refund. He said yes, abruptly walked into the building, and left me standing outside while an employee tried to justify the situation. I eventually went inside and again confirmed I would be refunded. As of tonight, no refund has been issued. After reading other reviews, it's clear this kind of behavior from the owner is not an isolated incident. Multiple customers describe similar rude, confrontational treatment. We left and went to Smitty's Car Wash on 16 near H-E-B--cheaper, newer, better equipment, better vacuums, and genuinely friendly staff. Night-and-day difference. If you expect basic professionalism and respect, I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

I went inside and grabbed a cup, filled it with only ice and went up to the register. The girl told me it was going to be $1.50 for the cup of ice. I asked her again. It's only ice. I didn't get a soda and she said you pay full price. I have been to thousands of gas stations across the west from Texas all the way to the West Coast to Washington in Canada, but I have never been charged more than $.50 for a cup of ice. Most of the time when I'm filling up my vehicle with gas, they tell me just take the ice don't worry about it the inside was dirty and the food that was sitting in the rotating hot dog look like they had been there for five days. It was only 9 o'clock in the morning. Do yourself a favor and stop at a different gas station!
