Omgahhh this was so needed!!! The only thing I really was surprised about was the trail, it's kind…read moreof like a neighborhood one. It's still a great ride on these Magestic animals, couldn't be too disappointed because I truly wanted to jus ride. It's been so long, since I was a teen since I've been on a horse and my heart needed this. I've always wanted a stable full of horses, hey, a girl can dream. I'm so mad bc I cannot remember our trail guide but she has been working there only for eight months as of 4/18/26. She was the best and easy to talk too. We loved all the horses! I got to ride Ranger and he was so hungry during our trail ride. Had me thinking, do thy feed them lol but I just let him do his thing and she did as well. We all just let the horses eat and chill too while taking the trail ride. We wanted them to enjoy themselves too! My man rode Mega and he's huge! Also, he's their youngest horse and I cannot remember the name of the other horse but I did ask their ages. Many horses live around forty years and Mega was seven, Ranger was 15 and the horse guiding us was 20. It was such a nice day to ride. Don't come here having to use the bathroom lol. My one complaint about the trail is their lack of cleaning it! There was a toilet that has been there on the trail a while, I'm not sure if someone dumped some fish eggs on the trail, there was a little patch that they need to clean asap! They're probably just use to it and might not notice but there and lots of flies over it and I'm not sure why someone wouldn't want to take pride in the trail. I'm hoping this review will help them get there. There are so many things to make this experience even more beautiful and memorable. Thanks for the ride!

I went with my partner (both our first time) and experienced a awesome instructor teach us the basics, give us opportunity to train more or get into the ride and talked about the horses, local area, and different offerings. 10/10 recommend if you haven't ever gone or want to go back. Absolutely amazing experience! From the beginning to the very end every moment was an adventure I…read morewill cherish for years to come. Our tour guide Mark couldn't have been more kind, patient and helpful. He made excellent choices matching our group to their appropriate horse for riding. Based on our weight and height our horses were Chili, Boogie, and Izzy! Such sweet babies they were. Chili loved to snack on the vines, but was easily redirected to get back on track. If you're too nervous to take photos while on the trail, DON'T WORRY because MARK is sweet enough to do that for you! If you love wine, highly recommend to purchase the package with the wine tasting (to be enjoyed after your ride) because the wine from DANZA SOL WINERY was THE BEST WINE I had all weekend. Looking forward to returning to this beautiful ranch!

5 stars all round…read more This horseback tour is amazing, not only do you get to ride horses through the vineyards you also get a voucher to go next door (Danza Sol winery) and sample 6 wines of your choice. The horseback tour is amazing. You arrive get your paperwork situated and they match you with your horse based off height. All the horses are just so kind. Our tour guy Mark was amazing, talked to us about the venue, the grapevine, took pictures throughout the tour and sent us all the pictures he took as well. Felt safe while riding with our tour guide. The horses do like to sneak in a few pecks off the vines and some more than others...lol but it's manageable. It doesnt look like your high up, but once you saddle up you realize the height, but the more you ride the more comfortable you get on your horse. I loved it. The weather was amazing. All the staff were friendly and professional. Had an over all great ride. We were celebrating my sister birthday and we couldn't have had a better experience and time with our horses and Mark our tour guy. The ride is pretty lengthy but its nice and you get what you pay for. Make sure to bring pants, closed toe shoes and sunglasses. After your ride you can give the horses some cookies, which they love and look forward to it. I enjoyed that part as well. There's only a port-a-potty on sight that I saw. So technically there is a restroom on sight, but we all know how stinky those are. So go before you arrive or the winery next door has restrooms that are much more ample. Definitely worth every penny. Would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to enjoy and good time riding as well as some good wine afterwards.

Western Skies Horseback Riding - 5/2020 Thank you again, Kristen! We had the best time! Your horses were so gentle. What a beautiful ride.

Temecula is already a beautiful city escape in Southern California. There are so many ways to…read moreexplore this city: hot air balloons, limos, old town frontier ambiance, wine tasting, jeep wine tours, trolleys, etc. One way I've never thought to try was by horseback, until now. It is THE best way to see this area, in my opinion! For those concerned about social distancing, Western Skies offers small private tours. My ride was for myself and my immediate family. Their tours are up to 4 guests only at this time. I am lucky to have come across Western Skies Horseback Riding through family and friends on Facebook. At the moment, they're available on instagram @westernskieshorsebackriding and Facebook. I immediately reached out to them on FB and Kristen responded promptly. She is so helpful and welcoming. For the first time rider, we chose an hour tour and Kristen *and Scott, guided us attentively throughout the entire ride with their expertise and encouragement. They offer one hour or two hour rides. Initially I wanted the ride closer to sunset, but it worked out anyway even with an earlier time. We got lucky with the beautiful clouds and breeze. Either time you choose, I'd give some leeway on time (an additional 15-30 min or so to consider, in case the ride doesn't end precisely on the hour. I didn't realize it until afterwards, and I'm so thankful, but Kristen didn't rush our ride back and our tour was a little bit longer than I expected. What a treat!!! Kristen went above and beyond for us!!! She and her staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. Hospitality is exceptional and so sweet. Thank you for the perfect afternoon. FYI, there are safety concerns so age/weight may be a factor to consider for comfort during this activity. For instance, anyone under 18 yrs must wear (their) helmet provided. Weather is also a factor, so if it's too hot, be wary of hydration and comfort, but luckily, we had amazing blue skies and a breezy day. They kindly offered us water when we arrived, as well. Kristen suggests jeans/long pants and boots/close-toed shoes. My family took me there for my birthday and it is the best birthday I've had (in such a long time), thanks to Kristen and her beautiful horses. My family and I are very inexperienced riders (son is a teenager), as we've only ridden horses a handful of times while on vacations. My family and I felt comfortable immediately. Her horses are so docile and mannerisms are so gentle. Kristen even allows guests to ride around their corral to ensure rider is more confident, before hitting the trail. There are small slopes and dirt/pavement along the ride. Our ride had the most beautiful scenery, with some unique sightseeing landmarks, so you'll really enjoy the views. She and her staff took photos for us along the entire ride. I didn't anticipate that, so I did take my phone out on occasion, and it still allowed me to enjoy the experience and be present in the moment. Next time, I know I can disconnect entirely though because they capture wonderful photos for me to have (they will airdrop to you if it's an iPhone) I won't reveal too much, as this is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, but I hope my notes help and offer suggestions to explore this beautiful area. Great family excursion, or even a romantic date idea! I have not seen my boys laugh so much and enjoy an activity together like this! Maybe we are going stir crazy from the quarantine, I don't know, but I can't imagine a more memorable way to spend an afternoon. Side note: It is such a fun workout! I didn't realize this, but if you plan this excursion, and not always athletic, keep in mind to keep your activities mellow after your ride. We loved the entire experience, and will do this again, definitely. We do feel a little tender and sore, similar to how I feel after a very long bike ride, but it just lets us know another way to enjoy a fantastic workout. Thank you again very much, Kristen. It was so great to meet you and your family. We hope to see you again soon.

We rode at sunset and Kristen allowed us the flexibility "to be" with our horses. If we were comfy trotting, we could trot, if we wanted to canter, we cantered. Absolutely wonderful horses that were completely well-behaved, gentle and still could do more than just walked if asked. The scenery and landscape was to die for. Thank you Kristen for giving me and my family the best time EVER!!!!!

It is clean, well-run and a family environment where you feel good driving up and knowing it's almost like a home away from home. It's nice seeing other boarders and having a chat or just a simple wave across the stalls! It's so peaceful there and people respect each other. James and Kym are usually working away and doing what they do best... keeping up the ranch to the highest standards for all of our babies!! They are both so helpful and just truly wonderful, sweet, hard-working people that exude the utmost professionalism, compassion, helpfulness and caring. Yes, there are places cheaper and there are places more expensive... but know that money can't replace just knowing your horses are safe and loved and cared for when you're not there. Having that trust and ability to sleep peacefully each night knowing James and Kym care for my horses just as they would their own and care so much about all the animals is priceless. Trust me when I say it is worth every penny and more. Don't hesitate, just call and go see for yourself.... Treat your babies to the best boarding in the area! I am so thankful, happy and beyond grateful that I have the ability to board my horses here. I want the same for you!

While I completely understand needing to raise prices that seemed higher than necessary especially since they will only be serving alfalfa and Bermuda pellets. I don't like to leave a negative only review so I will say that the facility is always neat and clean with miles of beautiful trails.
