They take wonderful care of their horses and customers, and they come to work every day with positive attitudes. I learned so much from these people that I can now call friends. They teach anyone from beginners to jumpers to competitors, and with each lesson they teach, you can see the rider falling in love with the horse. They let the rider tack up the horse, and untack them, and the prices fit the quality of the lessons. I personally worked with Candice, one of the instructors, every day and she has so much knowledge about horses. She taught me so much when I was there that I now feel like an expert on horses ( even though I am far from it). Bree and Kathy are very professional, and care so much about the safety of the rider and the experience that they have. I have seen so many riders come in for a week of summer camp with no riding experience, and leave feeling like they are experts on horses just like I do :). They have ponies, a miniature horse, and also many horses at Breezeway Farms, and all are well behaved. While I was volunteering there, I saw children as young as 4 years old getting on a pony and smiling from ear to ear. They provide a variety of helmets for the riders, and before the rider even gets on the horse, they personally check to make sure that the helmet fits. This place is the best horse place that I have ever been to, and I am planning on taking more lessons to start jumping and competing. I recommend Breezeway Farms to ANY person trying to gain knowledge about horses, riding horses, or just trying to be around friendly people for a few hours.

The minute I walked in here, I noticed how clean and well-organized the facility was. All the horses are absolutely beautiful and clearly very well cared for by the owners. Betsy and Robb are incredibly sweet -- they showed me around and gave me all the information I needed. I've taken lessons with both Betsy and Maddie, and each one has been phenomenal. They're patient, professional, and genuinely want to teach you as much as they can. One of the best parts is that the lessons are individual, which makes it so much easier to learn, especially if you're a beginner. The lesson horses are the sweetest! They're well-trained, gentle, and actually listen to you, which makes a huge difference. The facility also has a cozy lounge and an outdoor seating area if you want to hang out and enjoy some nature time after your ride. Over the years, I've ridden with so many different instructors I can't even count, but if I had to ballpark it probably at least 15-16. I know what a good barn should offer and what you DON'T want. We just sold my last Saddlebred until I can pay for one myself (something I won't be able to do for awhile) so after taking 6 months off due to health reasons and grieving the absence of my beloved Saddlebred,I decided to call up Stacy Hennessy at Gerry Rushton Stables to book a lesson on one of their Morgans. Morgans, Saddlebreds, Arabians, and Half-Arabs (the other half is Saddlebred) are all ridden Saddleseat. As Morgans are similar to Saddlebreds and I was disappointed by the lack of high-quality Saddlebreds in my area, I moved inland since Gerry hauled my horse all over the West Coast for shows and I've seen their wonderful Morgans in action. When it comes to a riding lesson, I am EXTREMELY picky as I've had more than my share of lessons with phenomenal trainers of Saddlebreds, Quarter Horses, and now Morgans. Stacy & Gerry have VERY impressive resumes when it comes to Morgans and after my first lesson with them, I knew I had to come back as much as I could. I've worked more with Stacy so far, but had Gerry chime in today. Both of them know not only what they're talking about, but also how to explain it to the rider in a way that they can understand. This is a RARE combination and I am more than happy to drive over an hour each way to ride with them. The barn is beautiful and the horses are turned out to perfection. Nice big ring with a great viewing deck on the east side. I even get to hang around and watch for awhile, which is great since I'm a barn rat who will never outgrow her horsey fix. Lessons are very affordable, way less than what I pay in LA. I saw Stacy work with a beginner rider today and she does just as good of a job with them. An excellent find for me!

I always liked the idea of riding a horse but was always afraid I would fall off and break a few…read morebones. Being completely new I needed someone with a TON of patience. I took lessons at a few other places and couldn't seem to find the right person with the right amount of patience for me (yes I'm that difficult) . I finally got in touch with Amy over at Hanover saddle club and she was able to get me started right away even with my difficult schedule. She was so patient with me, and her love and knowledge about horses was far beyond anything I ever knew. First lesson she let me ride cute little domino (princess pony). It was perfect because I was still not comfortable getting on the big horses - still afraid of falling off. Domino was just the right size for me and she is just so adorable. Now that I have become more comfortable with this horsey stuff I bring my daughter and husband with me for lessons and we all go out on the trails and it is absolutely beautiful with the sunset! Now my 9 year old is riding domino, and my husband loves slack. Currently I'm riding jazz- he is a must ride horse! When you visit please tell Amy I sent you to ride jazz you will love him!!!! Kids need to listen to instructions for their own safety. My daughter absolutely loved her lesson and had the best time. Every instruction came with an explanation and my daughter listened and did her best better herself. She has asked me multiple times to go back and definitely will be a few times per month. Life is tough and people aren't nice in the world. Strict coaching will prepare them for the future.
