As a Realtor, I've got to know who I can safely recommend to clients, and this one is a no-brainer for me. They do water softener, iron filter, and reverse osmosis installation and service, and even salt delivery. I've personally used them, and numerous clients of mine have done the same (including again just today). They're located in Watertown, WI (Jefferson County), which is just a little west of Oconomowoc, though they'll travel a decent distance. Today's client was in Richfield. This is a longstanding, family owned business, and their folks are polite, on time, reasonable, and really experts on all things water. As highly as I can recommend anyone, call Schaefer's with confidence. So, whenever we have had to do maintenance on the system, we have called them for service. Their technicians are prompt, friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Recently, we felt the iron filter was not working well enough. We scheduled an appointment for Hanson to send someone over. Dustin came to check out our iron filter and determined that at 15+ years we had some hard choices to make. He walked us through our options, patiently answered my questions, and did not try and sell anything specific. We talked about replacing the water softener at the same time. He ran tests and confirmed it was in working order. We scheduled time for them to replace the iron filter. Again, Dustin and his assistant arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. He took the time to explain the whole setup to me and ensured I was comfortable with the work done. They are easy to work with and a great service-oriented company.
