Pleasantly surprised! The Rocky River Inn was overall a great place to stay. The rooms were very well updated and the tv must have been the largest I've ever seen in a motel/inn before. Felt safe going in and out of the parking lot and had a great view. Staff was also very friendly even when we checked in after hours! Only reason I'm giving a 4/5 instead of 5 is that our bathtub did not drain very well and there was no bottled water in the room. Otherwise amazing! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My daughter and I stayed here in September, and it was hands-down the worst hotel experience I've ever had -- and that includes budget motels off the interstate. We booked a three-night stay directly through their website (which they conveniently blame on a "third-party system" when it benefits them). On the second morning, I received an urgent call that my son had been injured back home and we needed to leave immediately. We packed up, went straight to the front desk, and explained the situation. That's when the misinformation and dishonesty started. Despite the emergency and the fact that we did not cancel, we simply checked out early, the staff refused to process a refund for the final unused night without "manager approval." The excuse? A mysterious "no cancellation policy" they suddenly hid behind -- which makes no sense because we weren't canceling the stay, we were leaving due to an emergency. Instead of showing even basic human decency, they treated us like an inconvenience. They continued to argue that because I "didn't book directly with them," they couldn't help -- even though I booked directly through the official website. They just happen to use a third-party reservation platform, and apparently that gives them an excuse to hold your money hostage. This is deceptive at best, predatory at worst. And honestly, the room wasn't even worth fighting over. The Inn itself is essentially a collection of temporary modular buildings disguised as a boutique hotel. The property is poorly maintained, the beds were uncomfortable, and the overall experience did not match the price tag -- which was $255 per night. For that rate, I expected quality, hospitality, or at least professionalism. Instead, what we got was subpar accommodations and staff who were cold, dismissive, and completely lacking compassion or customer service. Bottom line: This place cares more about squeezing every dollar from guests than providing a safe, comfortable, or humane experience. If you need flexibility, basic respect, or even the slightest sense of hospitality, look elsewhere. There are far better options in the area -- don't waste your time or money here. read more

The stay was fine for what it was and satisfied our primary need- a one night stay near our friends' house! Other hotels in the area required a 2 night minimum which we couldn't do even if we wanted to - that's why we chose this place- our friend actually tried to steer us away- but it was fine and we've definitely stayed in worse places Only complaint is the towels were thin and scratchy and the bed only had one night stand and lamp- so I had to put my book and glasses on the floor since that was "my" side of the bed I'd stay there again for a night read more

Because of the very reasonable price, we expected a run of the mill strip motel but were blown away with the luxury everywhere in our room. Two extra thick queen beds with top notch bedding. Squeaky clean and large bathrooms and the biggest TV we've ever seen in a hotel. Ask for a river view. Ours was a 12 foot picture window out on a gigantic lawn down to the river. What a surprise! We were up at Candlewood Lake for a two day charity event and didn't want to drive home between days. We picked this place because it was close and I was expecting a flea bag but this place was clean, spacious, flat screen on the wall, friendly office, quiet... There was nothing wrong with the place. I dont know if I'll ever need to stay the night in the area again, but if I do, I wouldn't look anywhere else. read more

Very attentive, nice and informative staff and the rooms was clean. They look like they renovated recently which is a plus but could use more updating such as the walls and carpet. I stayed here for business and the staff helped me navigate the area for places to eat, they also had take out menus available for local restaurants. I would totally go back. read more

PICTURES ARE DECEIVING! I am assuming this place has 1-2 remodeled rooms to use for photos but I do not believe they are from the same place. This is not an inn, it's a motel. The entire cleaning staff should be fired, there was mold on every wall in the bathroom. It was so bad you could see the wallpaper peeling to reveal more mold. I went to the nearest Walmart for bleach and a shower curtain because there's no way I was using the provided one. The bedding wasn't correct for the size bed, luckily there where 2 beds in the room so we combined the bedding to make it useful. There was no fitted shit, or mattress cover. Literally, no exaggeration, 75% of the lights where out. The lighting in the entry way, up some stairs, was 1 bulb out of 8. No towels, 2 wash clothes, left the room had a "do not disturb" sign in the door, when we returned someone had removed the sign and entered leaving towels just tossed onto the couch. Ice machine was broken, no bags for ice bucket which was dirty anyways, fridge was dirty. EVERYTHING WAS DIRTY. Do not let the pictures fool you, the "reception" area and new sign on just a front. read more

THISIS NOT AN INN! It is described as a luxury, boutique hotel, with many amenities. It is a basic motel, the amenities are a clean room, thin but clean towels, shampoo and internet. There was a kitchenette with one packet of coffee per day. There is a beautiful river in the property, but not a chair or bench to enjoy it from. Had the owners been honest and advertized it as a motel, I would not have rented. read more

Traveling for work and found this place. Inn/Motel with rooms all on ground floor and sufficient parking. Clean and spacious room, large bathtub/Jacuzzi with separate shower, large TV with multiple cable options. Heavy door and single dead-bolt system so I felt secure. I am used to staying at upscale hotels when I traveling but had to go to New Milford, Ct for a family emergency. Choices for places to stay were limited so I chose Rocky Mountain Inn. I checked in very late at night and the desk clerk could not have been nicer. I was a little nervous about staying in an open motel by myself. I usually stay in big hotels. BUT The room and the bathroom you can tell were recently redone unfortunately it was a poor choice of carpet color but the room was clean the bathrooms beautiful. The bed was comfortable. This place is so deceiving....looks like a run down Motel.....they should really spruce it up and show it some love and care...fresh paint and some plants would go along way in front of the original building....you have 7 seconds to make a first impression....luckily my brother checked it out for us as the first impression is NOT good -there are two newer buildings which are very nice....be sure to ask if you call and make sure your room is in the newer part.... Hard to find the reception desk ( building ) as it is right in front but the sign is like mirrored , I think. We drove around the property looking for it....small sign on the front lawn would do wonders....and it is NOT lit up at night at all.... We got the deluxe room which was huge and with a lovely view of the river...beds were great . Lovely bathroom with a separate toilet room... No tissues anywhere in the room, though... Main problem with the room was the white carpet which was very soiled and stained. It had been vacuumed but still - white carpet in a motel? I would stay again. The room was spacious with a separate office and a hugh bathroom. The bath was sparkling clean and the bedding appeared to be new. The furniture was terribly old and run down and the carpet was extremely dirty. I would not walk on it barefoot. If they replace the carpet or at least cleaned it - it would have made for a better rating. They had a Kurig in the room and a very large flat screen tv which was nice. read more
