The pool is split half for swimming, half for laps. The outdoor pool goes up to ten feet. There are plenty of tables and chairs around the pool. There is also a tiki bar that serves drinks and snacks. They grill burgers and other items on the weekend. There is a gym with a large variety of machines and equipment. There is also a sauna located in the locker rooms.

Spent the first hour of the vacation trying to find another room but no other adjoining rooms were available. Housekeeping finally came by - only because we saw the manager in the housekeeping room although the front desk said they paged her twice. All she did was spray which helped for the moment. Luckily she was honest and said it was from the restaurant. The restaurant closed early for new years so the smell subsided. The next day, it was GROSS. Also, unsure why but both nights we were awake from 12am to 3am. The bathrooms are exceptionally small and the rugs need to be updated. The desk chair was pretty comfortable! The pool was heated the first day but felt cooler on the second. Towels were provided. Gym facility is amazing!

We were checked in into room 714 The ceiling was peeling and the couch was stained. We checked into another room after we requested a change. Room 920 had a bad smell to it - we went to house keeping for a deodorizing spray. We did the work ourselves to attempt to cover in mask the bad smell. The staff was courteous and helpful but it's time for the elevators to be updated - they use contact paper that looks like wood to give the impression that the elevators have been updated. The flooring inside the elevators needs to be seriously replaced. I'm surprised at the level of not paying attention to detail. Disappointed that this is a Marriot Bonvoy brand.

She made sure our check-in was smooth & got us to our room quickly & without hassle. Her professionalism & kindness really stood out. The hotel itself was very clean, & all of the staff--including the housekeeping team--were friendly & helpful throughout our stay. The room was immaculate, & I felt comfortable & well taken care of. My only real issue was the lack of microwaves in the rooms. It was inconvenient having to go downstairs & wait in line just to heat up food. That's definitely something the hotel should reconsider. Also, I noticed Carlin often seemed to be managing the front desk alone--even during busy periods. I'm not sure why she doesn't have more staff support, but she handled everything with patience & grace, even when there were 10-15 people waiting. She deserves recognition & backup. I did notice the hotel seems to attract a mixed crowd, possibly due to the price point, but that shouldn't reflect on the hotel itself. As long as you're there to rest & relax, the experience is more than sufficient. Overall, I'd absolutely stay here again. I'm not sure why this hotel has low ratings--my experience was excellent. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is part of a hotel operated on an updated estate. The restaurant is located in a beautiful classic white house. The bar has stunning emerald wall coloring adjacent to a glass window. The main dining room is lovely. Top grades for atmosphere. They even have a Michelin Star for the Hotel. Other than our server having a temporary memory lapse about the flavor profile of sorrel , service was pretty much perfect. Friendly. Helpful. Efficient. For example, our server was able, at our request, to serve Belden House's famous chocolate chip cookies even though they weren't on the dinner menu. They were delicious. The food ranged from good to very good. My wife and I split (1) sourdough focaccia and cultured butter; (2) shrimp with fennel in a sorrel sauce, (3) pappardelle with pork shoulder; (4) green garlic linguine with clams, preserved lemon and sake; and (5) Short Rib with persimmons and sunchokes. The bread was very good. The shrimp had good texture and that dish was cool visually. I was a fan of both pasta dishes. They both had a nice acidity, which you don't always see with pasta dishes. The shredded pork was tasty. The short rib wasn't a highlight for me, but it was good. It had a firmer texture than I'm used to. The persimmons brought a cool shape and color, but I didn't love the flavor with the short rib. We had a great experience. I recommend Belden House for an upscale night. 4.5 Stars

We dined with a small party in a private room, warm and comfy, and boasting elegant, polished service from a sharp and friendly team of servers. Excellent. For Easter, we were given a prix fixe menu ($150 per) that provided some fine choices among appetizers, entrees and desserts. The appetizers included octopus, quail and some super tasty (and NOT overcooked) seared tuna. Delicious. The entrees included duck and chicken but all of us deferred to the tenderloin which was perfectly cooked to our preference, tender and ... well, just what we wanted. Add in the desserts and the drinks -- lots of specialty beverages. all on the pricey side -- and we were totally satisfied. Not a complaint in the group.
