Dependable, tasty, dinner spot. Salmon, salads, sandwiches all are easy to pick up and take home. Bacon Jam appetizer is a decadent treat.

The best part of this place was the extensive beer tap selection. That being said, Mishawaka has a lot of good options when it comes to craft beer. I had the Rocky River burger, medium. It was pink inside, but very tough. It was perfectly round like a GHS type burger and tasted like it. The fries were soft and mushy. If this place is still here in six months as is, I'll be shocked. I hope the owners read this and let me know they're making changes or I'm not coming back. read more

Good food, good service, nice vibe. The Rocky River Tap and Table is straight up solid. Their big claim to fame is that all of their ingredients are locally grown, which is awesome. When I went there, my friend, Mackenzie, and I split the spinach artichoke dip, which as everyone else has said is AMAZING. We also each had the vanilla java porter, which was great, too. My slight disappointment came with my main course, the pan seared vegetables with quinoa. The menu said "garden vegetables" would be included. What does that mean? I didn't know, and the waitress didn't know. I ordered it anyway. Apparently garden vegetables means mostly onions and tomatoes, because that's what I got served. Throw a couple zucchini here and there. Don't get me wrong, I like onions and tomatoes but as a $15 dish? Not unless they're made brilliantly, which they were not. They were bland. I ended up dumping half the salt shaker into my plate. Mackenzie did seem to enjoy her grilled cheese, though. As for the atmosphere, this place is a mix between sports bar and restaurant. There were TVs on the walls, but they were not distracting. The tables were nicely made and everything seemed new and clean. Overall, I would return because the service was great, some of the food was good, and the vibe is nice. read more

Everything from appetizer to dessert was so good!! I love Cafe Navarre and been wanting to check this place since they own this place too! The spinach and artichoke dip appetizer came out bubbling and so cheesy! I wanted to keep on eating it! I ordered the farm egg burger and it was one of the best tasting burgers I have ever had! The egg on top was sexy once you cut into it with the yolk oozing out. My friends and I chose 2 desserts; the strawberry shortcake and salted caramel brownie. The two evened each other out. The shortcake cream was light and strawberries were tangy and the brownie was warm rich gooey and just the right amount of crunch. Sooo good!!!!!! read more

Granger is a much better place due to the new Rocky River Tap & Table. A fine dining yet casual establishment yields a farm to fork style dining experience with a vast craft beer selection. Most of the food and ale are resourced within a 100 mile radius. My wife and I experienced it less than a week after it opened and the food and service were on par as if they'd been open for months! Food, ambiance and service were all top notch. We had the Bacon Jam Brie with Toast Points, Bar Burger, and Risotto Fritters. All dishes were outstanding and flavorful! So much more looked great on the menu that we wanted to try, so we'll be back and it'll be soon. Living in Middlebury it's a hike but it'll definitely be worth it! If you are contemplating places to go and Rocky River is one of them, move it to the front of the line as it is truly VIP! You won't be disappointed. I've been here many times and for both lunch and dinner. My visits are typically inconsistent and can be amazing service or just average. Prices are a bit pricey for the area. Not crazy but a bit high for what you're getting. Restaurant itself is clean, farm to table and on the edge of real traffic area. It's none of those things.... it's the service. My chop salad was pretty skimpy for the $11.75 price tag. Daughter ordered same and asked for extra dressing after her salad was served, but never received it. read more

Never been here before valentines night. Not my first choice but the only place with reservations still available. They had a valentines combo...$70 for two. Very good visit. Got the Tuscan flatbread and was very pleasantly surprised by the flavors on it. Would definitely order it again. My wife got the Mac & Cheese and enjoyed it all the way to the bottom of the plate. Good flavors and texture with just the right amount of bacon. I had the Rocky River Burger. Cooked just right, and great size. Toppings were not overwhelming and it was not a greasy mess. Would recommend it. Our server's name was not on the check, so I cannot give her credit here, but she was very good. She took care of the first half of our very large party to arrive tonite, and she did a great job. Sometimes servers balk at separate checks, this one took it in stride and handled it all like a champ! Friendly, efficient and accurate. All the best things in a great server. Outstanding! I forgot to call ahead as I had a party of 12 for that evening. I called about 4 hours ahead of time to let them know we were coming. Love this place! Fresh ingredients and delicious food. Went for dinner with my mom. We shared the duck nachos (yum). She had a burger for dinner and I had the ribs. Both were delicious! I loved the goat cheese mashed potatoes as a side. We also had dessert--I got the creme brûlée and she had the flourless chocolate cake. Lots of promise with a few misses. The farm to table concept is cool but decor and seating doesn't match. Just another booth and table place with stock art on the walls and tv's in the dining room. Not very farm nor table. Service was very engaging and knowledgeable. You must have the cheese with bacon jam appetizer. Served with a crunchy toast. Perfect to share! The server suggested a white fish special over pasta. The fish wasn't seasoned and mostly flavorless. Pasta was over cooked and over sauced with mostly broken noodles. Presentation missed. The steak frites was very good, served with some nice green beans. Organic bottled ketchup is better than non-organic. No special sauce for the fries. The Brussels Sprouts are outstanding! Strong balsamic flavors with sliced apples. Huge portion! The kitchen got backed up so we had to wait quite awhile for dessert. Peach cobbler and flourless chocolate cake were both very good and worth the wait. I think I picked the wrong entree. May give it another try on another visit to the area. read more

Terrible experience. Really nothing went well when I ate here. We had a large group, but nothing extreme (11). And this was one of the longest waits for food that I've experienced. We were sitting around for probably 15 minutes before our server took our order. Then every person at the table ordered a burger. After ordering it took almost an hour to get our burgers, and when they got there, every single one was well done even though many of us asked for medium or medium rare. The sweet potato fries would have been pretty good, but they were already cold upon arriving at the table. Then the process of sorting out the checks was long and clumsy. The meal ended up taking 2 hours when we were looking to get a few burgers, pay, and leave. read more

Rocky River was a suggestion made to me while looking for a burger. And I fully intended to get that burger on a lazy Wednesday afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, the decor is simple but with a touch of elegance, very well thought out. There are TVs strategically placed all around the dining room. I'm sure the intention is to make sure everyone has a good seat during big games, but on this day Food Network won out! There's seating all around the bar that's full of taps (for beer drinkers). The staff was very friendly, our server gave great suggestions for drinks based off what we said we normally liked to drink. We ordered based on her suggestions and they were spot on! We looked over the menu, thinking we knew what we wanted. When the couple at the next table stopped eating to recommend what they had. He'd gotten the ribs, she had the salmon. We figured if they were THAT good we should probably them. They were right! My salmon was cooked perfectly, topped with a pesto and fried onion straws. His ribs were tender with a slight sweetness from the TripleXXX (BoilerUp) root beer. Overall, this is a very chill environment with great food. We both agreed, we'll be back! read more

It was alright. The hostess seemed a little annoyed we didn't want to eat in the bar area. We got the impossible burger with fries. The burger was a little dry and crumbly but that might've been because it's a vegan patty. I got the fried egg added for $2 and I would recommend not doing that. Rocky River promises Farm to Fork and they deliver. I was happy to find a bison burger on the menu. My bison burger and sweet potato fries were near perfection. My only gripe is that they don't offer a selection of buns. The standard bun is a brioche bun. The only substitute is a gluten free bun ( for $1). Why wouldn't a place offer a whole wheat or multi- grain bun option? If I care enough about health to want bison instead of beef, I care enough to not want white bread. So they lose one star. We love going here; the soups are amazing and the handhelds are wonderful. We love the casual atmosphere and the wonderful selections on tap- especially that they have local breweries represented (which make superior beers!)
