We had the artichoke dip to start. Best I've ever had and the flatbread it came with was wonderful!! I had the bison burger and my wife had the prime rib burger. Both were really good and the sweet potato fries are addicting!! The key lime pie is huge and just perfect!!! Service was excellent and we are needy!! The food and service were outstanding. The atmosphere was peaceful, which was a nice surprise since we had a late lunch on a Sunday and didn't expect it to be that busy. I had the Chipotle salmon, and my daughter went with the parmesan-crusted perch. While neither of us was a fan of the dill sauce that accompanied the perch, we were glad it was served on the side. Okay atmosphere, a little bland, hit and miss on the menu. Wife had ahi salad and enjoyed it, but my chicken bacon ranch flatbread had zero flavor and was a total disappointment. Should have known better to get flatbread at a farm to table place. Good offering of drinks and good service, but food just not good enough to be in our rotation of weekly places to go. I come here every time my parents are in town from Miami. The quality of the food is great for South Bend. Fresh farm to table. The menu isn't large or extensive so not a ton of options, but they have a decent variety of foods. I like when they switch it up seasonally and add new items. It's pricey, but again, the quality shows in the dishes. Most restaurants in the area are chains and have microwave food with preservatives and tons of sodium. My only complaint is there aren't many vegan & vegetarian options. I often just have the same thing over and over again, their Caesar salad which is so yummy with the fresh grated lemon zest and sweet potato fries. (They should do like a caprese panini for those who don't want a flat bread as an entree or a tomato soup and grilled cheese. One time they had a poblano grilled cheese on the menu which was awful. Some things should be keep original and simple. I do LOVE their espresso martini, it's more like Kahlúa and cream than a true espresso martini, but still delicious. My dad also enjoys their beers and cocktails. Their renovations came out amazing. Much nicer dining room than they previously had. Very nice ambiance and decor. The service can be slow sometimes. Some servers are warm and friendly some are cold, that's usually hit or miss. All in all a great choice for dining in the Mishawaka area. read more

We went to Rocky River and have were so disappointed. We both ordered tacos, and they came with 2 stale tortillas, that you could not eat, a spoonful of rice and maybe 10 black beans. There was no lettuce, sour cream or anything else on the tacos. To spend close to $50.00 for these 2 meals was, needless to say, way overpriced. We both left hungry. Ordered the chicken pot pie. It had one flavor: salt. The crust was quite underdone, the gravy? bechamel? Was translucent, lumpy and gelatinous. There were chunks of, so far as I could tell, prefab "grilled" chicken patties in it?! No peas. Not a single pea. They graciously make up for the lack of peas by adding EXTRA severely mushy carrot chunks. No one working here has heard of seasoning. They didn't get past salt in culinary school. It was our first time stopping to this restaurant. We were near Granger for a sporting event. I looked on Yelp and saw this restaurant was close and had good reviews. It did not disappoint. Our teenage son was extremely hungry after wrestling and wanted the steak. Needless to say, he loved it and ate every bite. My husband decided to get one too. Each got one medium rare with the mashed potatoes. Each said the flavoring was great and the steak was tender and juicy. While $40.00 may seem pricey, it was worth it considering we have paid upwards of almost $60.00 for less quality. I had a salad that was great in size. We dine here at least once a month, and the atmosphere is truly one of a kind. Every waitress we've had has provided excellent service, and we've never had a bad experience with the food. Their menu offers a wide variety of options to suit any mood, and the food is always cooked and prepared to perfection. We have two young children, which can sometimes make dining out a bit stressful. However, Rocky River caters to kids as well, providing them with their own silicone plates and cute cups! Our latest waitress was fun and friendly; she even let my kids choose their own straws, despite being super busy. She still took the time to interact with us, which we really appreciated. Celebrated my husband's birthday with a couple friends last weekend and after a few tries at other places, we found this spot. We wish we would have started here! Just a short 20 minute wait on Saturday night about 7pm. We got a drink at the bar and waited for our table. We ordered the Brussels sprouts for an appetizer and they were amazing! I got a cup of chili and a cheesesteak sandwich. The bread was very big so I only ate about half of it because I wanted to finish all the insides since it was really tasty. This was not a true cobbler at all. It was more like an apple crisp with very little crisp. The apples weren't fully cooked either. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but definitely not a cobbler. So if you are interested in a true cobbler, don't get this. You will be disappointed. The main food though was delicious and definitely something to return for. Only downside on that was the sandwiches were a bit soggy. To be expected with to go sandwiches so no complaints.
