I have an older Toyota Pickup that is challenging for ordinary repair shops since it has a carburetor and no onboard computer - so it actually takes some mechanical know-how and experience. SCAM!!! BEWARE!!! We took my BMW to replace the turbo coolant line. I was previously quoted 1000.00 dollars by BMW dealership. I went into Rodas to get a cheaper quote and crazy enough they wanted to charge me over 2000 bucks. They tried to up charge me and scam me by fixing parts to my car that weren't even necessary. I took it back to BMW and what Rodas thought was needing "replaced" was completely fine. I'm so disappointed a mom and pop place would scam like this. I thought I would help a small business but nope. I'm so glad I got an original quote from BMW because if not I would have been scammed for over 1000 bucks!!! read more

my situation is I bought a high-performance radiator which they did install with no problems and they said my vehicle was still overheating, OK last time now but they went the most expensive route. Try to get to the problem which was a 600+ dollar diagnostic after I told them I already have a block check on my vehicle and it showed no leaks. They said this is different. This will find anything. I found nothing at all my vehicle overheated. I found another company before I could finish my sentence. They diagnose the problem, which was a faulty, thermostat something I mentioned also but instead of checking that they stuck it up my butt for 600 bucks for absolutely nothing, I will never recommend I will never use. I am totally disgusted and I will comment to the parts manufacturer that recommended them to install my radiator that I did not need. read more

I recently brought my 2016 Toyota Prius for a problem I was having with getting a "Shift System Malfunction" code displayed everytime I tried engaging into drive or any other gear. I had taken my car to the Toyota dealership prior to bringing it to Rodas, wish I hadn't, as they could not figure out the problem with their standard diagnostic and told me they needed to perform an "advanced diagnostic" which would cost me more money and they said they could still not guarantee they would find the problem!? Once I heard that, I decided to look elsewhere for a auto repair shop I felt more confident in and I'm glad I found Rodas. These guys are awesome!! When I told them about my experience with the dealership and this "Advanced Diagnostic", they told me they had never heard of such a thing lol They told me they would run their standard diagnostic and felt confident they could get the codes to diagnose the problem. So confident that they said if they couldn't diagnose it they wouldn't charge me a diagnostic fee. Fair game right what could I lose. Now these guys kept me updated of the progress everyday and called me as soon as any extra work was required for my approval so they could properly diagnose it. One day I even dropped in unexpected to check on my vehicle and I found one of the mechanics working on it who was able to explain what he was doing. He told me he had worked his way from the back to the front of the car where he was at now and his tests were showing the problem was in the front. He ended up finding the problem to be a DAMAGED WIRING HARNESS KIT. Rodas offered me two options of purchasing a new one from the dealership which would run me a couple thousand dollars or reparing the existing one. I opted to repair the existing one for a lot less money and they assured me and felt confident it was doable. Since I got my Prius back it's been running like new with no problems I know if I had eft my car at the dealership it would've cost me $5,000 minimum and Rodas saved me a lot of money!! From now on Rodas is my shop to bring all my vehicles! Thanks Rodas!!! read more

Overpriced, I was told it would take 1 1/2 hour for brake job. I was forced to leave vehicle overnight because they ordered wrong parts. I was told this at the end of work shift and parts was already dismantled. Job wasn't completed until next mid-day. read more

well recmended auto shop. for years i have trusted Rodas Auto Shop for my vehicules maintenance never have any problems.

1 star rating; too bad I can't give business a negative star. Called shop before taking truck in. Having problems with it changing gears. I used a diagnostic tool and got a code to replace solenoid. my mechanic was not available to complete repair so called around for shops close to March ARB. Told by shop they could replace using the parts that I had purchased and I would have to sign a waiver if not having them put through complete diagnostic. I agreed and took vehicle over. Once there told by owner a $90.00 diagnostic was mandatory. could not be applied to repair/labor charges.They did not have a military discount but would take care of me. :). So I followed through. To make a long story short. They did not do a complete diagnostic, did not drive vehicle to check out problem, they only used same diagnostic tool and got same code. Quoted extremely high labor cost, not including parts; adding on the $90.00 diagnostic fee. I took the vehicle to another shop. Had the part replaced. The end all to this scenario was that the vehicle did have a major problem that would have been found upon a complete run through. Hopefuly, this review will help someone, especially since the shop is close to the military base. My intent is not only to yelp about their services but also to contact our family services dept and JAG to find out what is my legal recourse . read more
