My wife ordered the curry noodles with chicken, and I had the rum cured trout. Both dishes were excellent. The curry had great flavor without being overwhelming, and the trout was outstanding. It was one of the best fish dishes I've had in quite a while. As always, we arrived with a challenging list of dietary restrictions. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. Our server, Jessica, was knowledgeable about food sensitivities, took the time to answer our questions, and made sure we were comfortable with our meal choices. That attention to detail was very much appreciated. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed, and welcoming. Families with children would feel right at home here, but it also works well for couples or groups of friends. I probably wouldn't choose it for an important business dinner, but for a casual meal with great food, it's an excellent choice. Highly recommended if you're in the Spearfish area. We prefer to pay cash with small businesses to keep them from having to pay credit card fees (or us for that matter, if the fees are passed on to the consumer) but that seems to be unacceptable here. I completely understand having a card on file for keeping a tab open but it makes zero sense to require a card when someone wants to pay cash. We ordered a flight and wanted to pay cash but were told they needed a credit card regardless, just in case. Just in case what? I'm paying for my order before I get it. I would then be free to leave when I choose without additional work for staff or, well, me. Especially since there is indeed a credit card fee here, since we were told the cash price on closing out exactly what we initially ordered - "just let me pay and be done with it" (quoting the hubs). I'd seriously rethink that policy. On to the beer, there were a couple of stand outs, including our favorites the Dark Lager & Mouse Trap. As well as middle of the road brews, falling in the 3 range. We loved the collabs. It's always great to see businesses support each other. Everyday they have buy a drink get one free for happy hour, so I definitely took advantage of that. i also had a few shots of something called perma frost, very strong and taste like mouth wash. There is 2 pool tables and juke box, the golf arcade game that they were having a 25 dollar tournament on, and the walls are covered with dollar bills. The locals are extremely nice and they were very interested in this game I was speaking of called beer pong! so we played it on the pool tables. They also have very good food. I tried the chicken fried chicken with a potato and i defiantly was amazed how good it was. if you are ever in the area, stop by leave a dollar bill and introduce yourself!
